Boycott Title

Boycott Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse

Boycott Description

A group that pledges to boycott the upcoming Sam and Max season until the original voice actors Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson are allowed to reprise their roles as Sam and Max, respectively.

Seeing the trailer for Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse had made me realize something about the new season... Sam and Max may be evolved graphics-wise compared to previous seasons... but as long as they are voiced by David Nowlin and William Kasten instead of the original voice actors Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson, they are far from authentic. The new actors' performances will never compare to the original actors' performances in Sam and Max Hit the Road.

In fact, ever since Telltale's Sam and Max trailer was showcased at E3 2006 with the new voices, there hasn't been a single Sam and Max product sold legally in the United States containing the original voices.  Both products that contained the original voices are owned by LucasArts, a company that has not released either product since their cancellation of Sam and Max: Freelance Police back in March 2004.

With PAX East looming, now is the perfect opportunity to show Telltale Games what the Sam and Max fans really want: a genuine Sam and Max season with authentic voice acting for the main characters. As long as Sam and Max stay the way they are now, we will not buy it in any shape or form.

Boycott Demands

In order for the boycott to end, I request that Telltale revise The Devil's Playhouse so that Bill Farmer and Nick Jameson reprise their roles as Sam and Max, respectively.  I also request that Telltale revise its previous two Sam and Max seasons (Sam and Max Save The World and Sam and Max: Beyond Time and Space) in the same fashion.
