Everytime I have to contact ST CS I have issues.  I had to get a new phone and wanted to transfer my number to the new phone. 3 days later, and 10 phone calls to ST and Im told that the towers arent speaking to each other.  I went from VZ towers to ATT towers.  Im told I still have to wait another 48 hrs.  One call had me on hold for 2 1/2 hrs.  FInally I called them again and they were like how can I help you, I said really?  Im on hold with another CS for the past 2 1/2  hrs and she wont come back online to tell me whats going on..45 mins later and 2 other people (all of whom barely speak english) and thats when I was told wait another 48 hrs.  I can make calls out but cant receive calls in and can not text.  This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Compelete Customer NO SERVICE!!

They said went over my data usage for the month and i just put time on it a week ago. And then told me i had to purchase a 30 dollar card to get more when it clearly states on there card unlimted everything what a rip offf. IM ALL FOR THE BOYCOTT. Ive also contacted the better business beaureu

WARNING! WARNING! STRAIGHT TALK GETS YOUR CREIT CARD INFO. AND CHARGES $$ ON IT WITHOUT GIVING YOU SERVICE. THIS IS FRAUD, ILLIGAL, AND STEALING. BECAUSE THE CHARGES ARE BEING CHARGED OUT OF THE USA, IT IS ALL MOST IMPOSSABLE STOP THEM FORM USING YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION FOR ILIIGAL CHARGES.

Straigth talk turned my neighbors phones off (landline and cell) deactivated them with out any notice to him. I spent twodays from morning to evening trying to resolve the situation on his behalf. No one that I spoke to understood ENGLISH. And because they were reeading from a sript we got no where. In addition they told us that the credit card was DECLINED. When I finely called Mastercard they told me that Straight talk had charged my neigthbor $49.73 seven times (approved by MC to them) seven times. In other words they did not reactivate his service and charged him $350.00, which Mastercard was going to pay them, had I not called MC to dipute the charges as a fraud. (my neighbor owned NO back pay for service). In the end MC was able to void 5 of the DUPLICATE charges to be paid to Straight Talk. However two of the charges We still need to dispute directly through Straight talk. So far they have admitted it is their fault we have no service and have confessed that they have over charged us. They have given us two case numbers, asking us to give them 12 hours to resolve the issue in each case, with no results. They have now givin us a reference number for the dispute. I am POSITIVE thatin the end they will STEAL this money (having been paid by Mastercard) and will NEVER give us service. The other problem is that we autherized them to put payment for ervice monthly (automatically) on the credit card. We still have no service and I was told that they also plan on chagrging us monthly now even if we do NOT have service. This is Illigal. It maybe we will have to go through the FBI or some other agency at this point just to stop them from charging the credit card when we do not have any service on a monthly basis. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. They will decline service and charge you monthly for service you do not have and it will be all most impossable to disput this and STOP them from stealing money from you.

STRAIGHT TALK TURNED OFF MY INTERNET, AND ALL DATA USAGE SAYING i WENT OVER MY "UNLIMITED" DATA FOR THE MONTH! AFTER 9 PHONE CALLS TO THEIR HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS WHO SPEAK TERRIBLE ENGLSH, THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME AND SAY I CAN BE RESTORED NEXT MONTH. WAL MART REALLY NEEDS TO TAKE A STAND FOR THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS PURCHASING A PRODUCT THEY ENDORSE AS THIS IS COMPLETE CRAP!!! I AM ALL FOR A BOYCOTT, MAYBE THIS WILL GET THE SUPPLIER OF THIS PRODUCT TO TAKE A STAND. IT IS UNFAI TO PAY $200/MO FOR FOUR PHONES AND NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEM.

im furious...my brother coded..no heart rate at all and my phone had no service..I couldnt call his wife at work and I paid the bill last nite...I have been on the phone with then all day and still no results..needless to sayI want my money back

I have straght talk and the phone that I have has stop working and I called straght talk tosee if they would send me a free phone to replace the one that I have and everyone that I talked to kept telling me that they could not do that if I wanted to get a new srvices plan to with the new phone they would send me a free phone and I told all of the people that I talked to I have a services plan on the phone that I have now and can not use it because of the prob that I have with the phone so I have know other choise is to take my prob to Mr polock the owne of that company

  • To EVERYONE on this forum, this is how Straight Talk handles there appeasement resolutions. First off they are THE WORST COMPANY I have EVER dealt with. I explained my problem, and AprilST did not read the entire post OBVIOUSLY.  Rather just responded that they would help, as it makes them look like they are giving a damn!! After leaving the information AprilST asked for thru my email, I got a return email telling me they were so sorry but there was nothing they could do!!!!  ARE YOU KIDDING!  So I went to write them back and my email wouldnt go thru(they blocked it so they didnt have to deal with me or anything), unbelievable.  This company does NOT CARE as long as they get there money.  All of the phones that I bought my 12 employees will be taken up and thrown in the trash(this was their idea, and a GOOD one).  ST just lost 12 people other then myself over a phone.  Straight Talk is a bunch of crap, a crappy phone service, and the worst customer service I have ever come in contact with!!!!!!!  HORRIBLE  Do yourself a favor and go with another service!!!!!!!!                                    DrChrisMB, SC

My husband and I tried straight talk and it sucked! The phones messed up constantly I have a rare blood disease and i have to keep in touch with my doctors for test results and the phone kept messing up it took over an hour for my doctor to give me my test results and thank God they were ok but easily could not have been. We decied to return the phones and the service cards i called straight talk to make sure i could get a refund on the cards and was told to just go to the store and i would get the refund. When i got to the store they said i could get my money back on the phones but i would have to go through straight talk for the refund on the service cards. I called straight talk for the second time and got transferred to so many people that i cant remember all their names. Once i finally got to someone that sounded like they were gonna help i got hung up on! I called back for the third time and sat on hold for 20 minutes the first time and then they transfered me again to aqnother person and i sat on hold for another 30 minutes before i was told i couldnt get a refund. I asked to speak to their supervisor and again sat on hold for 25 minutes and was very rudely told i was not going to get a refund and that she "KNEW" we had used over half of our minutes and text messages in just 10 days and she had no info on me or the phones we had. The last message i sent on my phone told me i had 976 text messages left when i started out with 1000. and i still had 900 minutes left out of 1000. I am determined to let everyone know how bad this company is. I have friends that work at walmarts across the country and have told them to try not to sell Straight Talk services to  anybody and to let anybody who askes about their services to let them know about this website and about how i was treated. I hope Mr. Carlos Slim Helu reads this because i will also be going to the Better Business Bureau. i will not stop till i am satisfied that all the wrongs have been righted!!!!

Straight Talk needs to stop outsourcing to Mexico. The language barrier is unbearable and the Techs have no idea what they are doing. It is pathetic to have to explain yourself at a third grade level to someone who is supposed to be helping you with a semi-complex telecommunications issue. After my fourth attempt I have given up and am going to get a real service.

I think straight talk is great....you have the same service as vz...and the cost is much lower...and less dropped calls...vz sucks all your money up.....really there costumer service is only good when you need a new phone or a up grade...Vz sucks big time.....to corp....no one care's about you when you go in there..unless the wallet is out and your spending cash.....Had a lot of problems with VZ.....so I have no service with them...you mas well just pay your bill with a credit card..and if you break your phone it is much much cheaper to buy a new one on Straight talk.....My sister has Staight Talk...and she loves it....no problems with it...She Hates VZ and she told them where to go....I will be changing all of my lines to VZ when the contract ends in DEC. of this year.

I got the ST phone when my Verizon contract was coming to an end to try out. Well, I am GLAD I tried oit out before telling VZ to stick it. I got a phone and plan that gave me unlimited web. Well, it never would connect to web. I also lost calls and cound not connect in areas their map said was covered. I called to talk to a rep. All they wanted to do was keep checking zip codes and addresses to see if they were in the area. After explaining that I had checked that before I bought it, the rep kept saying, "well lets check your coverage area". I tried to tell her it was the phone! After 30 minutes of this, I hung up. I tried to email them, and got the same. Every response was , "we are sorry, please call our agents so we can troubleshoot". I resonded that it had been done and got basically the same email after 4 responses. I just gave up. Long story short, I will be going back to VZ today.

I was a Straighttalk customer for over a year. I got the service because it was inexpensive and I'm a college students. I realized that it wouldn't be the best but I didn't think it would end up the way that it did.

My phone never got good reception, even in my home where I was told that it should work according to the coverage maps. I experianced dropped called, static, etc...

Then after a year of this their site finally decided that my phone was not a Straighttalk phone. (Which it was.) This made it so I could not refill it. So I called customer service. After getting shuffled between people for over an hour, the supervisor filled out a complain that could get filed in 72 hours. But I would have to call back in those 72 hours to get them to start it. This was crap. I would have been without a phone if I hadn't went out and got one. Forget Straighttalk letting me reclaim my old number, I had to get a new one but at least I don't have to deal with them anymore. Stay away from Striaghttalk.

my husband and i bought two new smart talk phones (ANDROID)friday.  we had been with straight talk for about a year, and called customer service to transfer our numbers to the new phones.  we have had to contact customer service five times, they botched it so badly that none of our phones work.  not the old ones, not the new ones.  they tried transfering my husband's number to BOTH new phones.  we tried going online to their website this morning, it's DOWN.  we called customer service this morning from a land line, and it says "due to heavy call volume...call back later".   we have nobody to turn to.  it's the worst customer service and longest wait time imaginable.

I am all for whatever has to be done to stop this company. I only had the phone/service for 3 weeks now and I have spent more time and money (having to use a friends cell when I called them because straighttalk MAKES you use two phones each time and I had to pay my friend for the hours of time I used on his phone) and my phone is still not working correctly. I did learn that all the representatives are in the Philipines, hence, not being able to understand them, but the corporate office is in Miami, FL and I finally got the correct number which is: 1-800-876-5753. I called and complained my speaker phone was not working or even on the cell phone I purchased and the next day I woke up and what do you know, I turned my phone on and speaker phone was on it.  However, it only stayed on my phone for 5 days and it has disappeared.  This is insanity with this company.

The comment about Wal-Mart sparked the idea, I am not only going to file complaints with My Credit card Company, I am going to Contact Wal-Mart Corp ofc to file a complaint, My Atty General's office, BBB, FCC and any other entity I can think of... and I was told that I can file a suit in small claims court. They Rippede me off, they scammed me out of my money.

I purshased a 3 month plan that gave me a free phone and free shipping. I let them know I was transfering my T-Mobile Cell number. I was told that was not a problem. When I called to activate and transfer my number I was told it was successful and the new phone will be activated within 2 - 72 hours. After the third day I called them, ended up being on the phone for 3 hours. They initally told me "The customer called and canceled." I said I AM the customer and why would I pay you three months of service & then cancel & let you keep my money? I demanded either the phone be activated immediately or my credit card be refunded immediately. Neither happened. I have a complaint in with my credit card company. They told me they must get a response wihthin 30 days. It has been 2 weeks and no word from them.

I was paying 205 a month for two phones through verizon. Horrible service switched to straight talk and have excellent service. All these ppl complaining seem to ppl that want to watch videos and stuff. Ill just watch movies on my tv and save myself 115 a month. $90 through straight talk or $205 vs verizon. There is no comparison to me Straight talk wins hands down.

I did not have a good relationship with Straight Talk.  I’ve been their client for 3 months.  Here is my story.

In their ad they would tell you that everything is unlimited for only $45 dollars,,, blah, blah blah,,,, but they won’t tell you that everything is actually very much limited once you join them,,, my service was disconnected permanently without a notice,,, when I started my investigation with customer service (by the way,,, hideous) they just simply apologized and told me to read that small print in my contract again.

Here are few major things you CAN NOT DO: (per contract).  No YouTube.  No uploading, streaming or downloading (only very very limited),,, can’t watch TV. Neither can’t text a lot nor freely talk. Basically cannot use your phone to its full potential.  They are monitoring how long you are talking and how much you are texting,,, if it’s too much they would simply permanently disconnect your service without a notice nor refund,,,

ONE thing I was permitted to do:  I was able to check my emails UNLIMITED!!!  Hurray!  My personal wish to you reader,,,  DO NOT JOIN THEM.

StraightTalk Wireless. What a joke! I ordered a phone on their web site Fed-Ex 3 day shipping. It has been over 10 days now and I still have not received a phone. I Called customer service. What a waste of my time! All the representitives were from the Phillipines and I believe they work out of their homes because I could hear children in the background. Their english was very poor. None of them could understand what I was trying to say nor could I barely understand them! One rep told me my order was on it's way, she lied. Another rep told me their was never an order placed. Thats funny, I have a receipt for the order along with the order number. Another rep told me there was something wrong with my credit card. Thats funny, they took the money out of my account as soon as I placed the order. The time is shown on my bank statement! I was put on hold many,many times, and they kept asking me the same questions over and over. I talked to 7 different people and none of them could help me. I called the corporate office and they too were a big joke! They all lied to me. I have no phone,  they have $104 of my money. They are liars and thieves. WATCH OUT! Do not buy anything from this company! FYI, the CEO of this company is a man named Carlos Slim Helu' from Mexico who owns TracFone, the company that owns StraightTalk. Google it! He is getting rich and we are getting RIPPED-OFF! I am going to file a complaint with the FCC as soon as I submit this comment!
