now they are gouging  us...my bundle is fairly basic...reg speed internet,home phone with no extras,a couple of specialty channel packages,,,in August going up to 160 per month plus taxes,,SO,I am Gone,..out.....telus has good deal..internet and basic cable for 63 bucks for a year going up to 93 after !st year..bye bye Shaw

am paying 60 for internet and 20 for phone 

the internet craps out on me constantly. and they even bumped up their bill to almost 100 instead of the usual 80+ i really cant afford that living on disability and 2 hour shift job a week. think i am better off switching over to someone else like telus i never had a problem with them and when i did they actully solved the problem and they always gave me a heads up on things.

my friend was with shaw. her and her boyfriend were living together for awhile but things didnt end so well so she moved out and transfured the account over into his name. so after awhile the ex wasnt paying his bills shaw called him and they said that they can take money out of his ex girlfriends account he agreed to this so they too 300$ out of his ex girlfriends account without even asking her. what the F? thats horrible that they would do that, just goes to show shaw does not care about their people we are just money bags to them.

I have hated them for years and I continue to hate them. Even just today, I got blown off by their Internet service reps. Apparently, they don't support the modems that they force you to use. And CISCO clearly states to contact your service provider for problems.

Gawd, I hate these people. This is a clear case of a company that needs to be "shocked" into action.

Very bad Costumer service. I just called shaw because I have problem with my online billing view/pay apart of the fact that shaw website is already sucks. After calling they start trasferming me from this department to that deparmtnet making me waiting for at least 20minues at each trasfering and at each trasfeming I had to explain the problem over and over again. I have been trasfered 4 times and still I have problem!!!

I have had it!

They came to fix my cable, it's worse & they broke some stuff in my bedroom and said nothing & tried to hide the broken parts. Could you be any dummer?

I was bored and surfing the net today and stumbled across this site and read some of the comments. I too am a Shaw hater.

Like the comment below I used to watch the Daily on Shaw every day just about. I really liked that show, I thought Dan was funny and Karen & Hilary were good reporters and I always learned something new. Now I don't watch it much any more. I find the stories boring, stupid, amateurish and often about things no one cares about least of which me!

What did happen? Oh and they seem to have been adding all kinds of really bad shows as well. Some really amateur crap. 

 

I think its a shame cause local media is not great & I finally found something I enjoyed. It also made me tolerate Shaw horrible customer service and the semi regular issues we have with our cable service. Now there is really no reason to stay, we will be switching to Telus for sure.

I think Shaw just doesn't have a clue.

Can this company be anymore inept?

I just got off the phone with them and once again they overcharged me for services I don't have. Try and understand that Shaw bill...good luck!

 

We are switching to Telus, I don't car ehow bad they are they have to be better than Shaw.

Shaw TV sucks! What the hell happened to The Daily over last months! It used to be crap then they finally fiigured out to do professional work there and now it has been steadily sliding backwards. My girlfriend & I were watching their show The Daily on the Shaw channel prett much evry night and now it blows!

 

Oh yah & try & get through to customer service. They messed up my bill yet again for the upteenth millionth time. What a bunch of loosers!

 

We are switching to Telus. By Shaw for good!

Shaw is the worst company EVER!

I am sick & tired of their lousy malfunctioning products that constantly break down.

 

Then the real fun begins, dealing with the absolutely horrendous customer service in Victoria! Hours & hours & hours trying to reach them. Then you have to deal with inept rude people who seem to be very porrly trained.

They make mistake after mistake with my account and never take responsibility for it. I am so frustrated with these guys I cannot begin to express how much I HATE SHAW!

They are only interested in one thing and that is getting new customers to support their net gains for stock holders, that is obvious. Shaw is corrupt and I have very happily moved to their competitor, TELUS!

When they were Star Choice they were so great to deal with. Now I wanted to cancel my service and they are down right RUDE AND CROOKED. I have always paid in advance for my services, starting from my sign up Star Choice, now on cancellation they say I owe them even though it says in their own terms of agreements that they bill in advance of services. Go figure, that one. When I signed up for Star Choice there was no such thing as a 30 day cancellation notice, so now they want me to pay an extra month just to cancel. How did things like this ever become legal in  the first place. Write your goverment officials and lets get things back to normal in this country.

My husband and I have been trying to reach Shaw for 3 days.  We have waited on hold for a total of over 11 hours.  The first thing we do when we walk in the door is dial Shaw.  Tonight I thought I was lucky because I actually got to leave a message for a call back.  1 hour and a half later I received a call back and the service rep told me he would transfer me to tv tech support.  So he transfers me and then it says I am being transferred to customer service!  What is the deal people?  DISGUSTING service, this company s/b ashamed of its self.

Wow shaw, you are screwing customers big time.  five bucks more a month.  I hope you guys burn cause this is nonsense.  Thank god I have sasktel for all of my services for the last 8 years.  I will never get you guys again or even tempt to get them.  I hope you guys will lose market share and stocks plummets.

1pm – call shaw and ask why my bills are so high

 

They told me I have a reconnection fee!  They charged me to reconnect my own cable line after the idiot disconnected mine to connect the new tenants in the font unit.

 

This is still not resolved and they actually think I owe them the money to re-connect something they disconnected by “accident”!

 

Then I asked why my shaw on demand is not working “because your account is overdue”

 

She reboots my digital box from downtown and knocks out my box entirely (now I don’t have TV at all)

 

she tries to transfer me to technical support and I said NO I want a manager! She said hold on…she comes back online and says “hello hello” then hangs up on me.  Now I have no T.V.  to watch Baseball finals

 

called technical support and waited for a call back.  2 hours later the guy calls me and said to wait, it takes abut 20 minutes to reboot….i told him I been waiting 2 hours! He said i should be transferred to level 2. 

 

Another 4 hour wait! Yes he had the balls to tell me this!

 

I call back to speak to a manager and cancel my account and some guy resets my box and its up and running in exactly 11 seconds!  Yes 11 seconds!

 

When I call Telus for internet support I have someone working on the problem in less then 5 minutes and they don’t get off the phone with you until its done.  They ask you at the end “have I resolved your problem today”

 

Shaw licks and I will NEVER EVER EVER use this idiots….i don’t care if I have to pay triple somewhere else.  Its not worth being treated like a dog!

SHAW!!! Worst customer service is right. My internet has been down all day. Called at 6am and after 45 minutes spoke to a very condesending rep named Myles. He said my name wasn't on the account. My husband was right there and I was on speaker phone so he told Myles to add me. Myles said that since my husband was there he would talk to HIM about it. I informed him that my husband didn't have time to deal with it from then on he was extremely rude. He did discover that it was a problem for the whole community but the problem was not on their alerts. I ended up having to drive across the city to the office to get work done that I normally do from home. I got home at 3:30pm and still no internet. This time when I called the automated response said that the wait time was more than four hours!!! I called their SALES line and guess what?? Immediate response. Of course, when I explained my problem the girl said that she couldn't help me as she didn't have access. She did however manage to find out that I had a service booked for Wednesday?? I said that it was silly that she couldn't look up on her computer system or call someone to find out what was going on in Calgary. She said to hold on and put me on to the automated 'four hour' response queue. GRR.. Then I called back and again got an immediate response, he got very rude and kept saying 'do you want me to lie to you?????  I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor. He put me on hold for 15 minutes (punishment). The supervisor said that there had been a ticket ordered two hours earlier ( I had called nine hours earlier) and they were looking into it. No promises. I told him I wanted the taped conversation from the fellow I spoke to earlier, reviewed. He was silent, no apologies, no "I will look into it". First thing tomorrow I CALL TELUS!!!!!!

OK, here is my horrendous Shaw customer service experience.  I called Shaw because my newly installed PVR was not working.  To their credit, the problem was on  my end and turned out to be a wiggle the wire solution.  The issue is that I had to wait over 3 hours on hold to talk to someone who told me to wiggle the wire on my splitter.  Yes, I know Shaw is busier than they predicted, but that is not my fault.  I should not have to subsidize their business decisions, especially since by my calculations, they could make over 1 billion dollars this year.  Being outraged, I asked for compensation for my time.  This is where Shaw should have tossed me a coupon or something and sent me away happy, or at least less angry.  They basically offered nothing with the exception of the tech’s personal email for future issues.  He even refused to escalate my call and let me talk to a supervisor. When I talked to billing, the customer service representative said that they do not compensate for abnormal wait times, but did offer me a portion of my bill as a credit.  Now this is where it gets rather funny.  She explained the formula for the credit:  at $89 a month, divided by 30 days and again divided by a further 24 for a hourly rate times 3, she arrived at a credit of 37 cents.  Thanks Shaw, but no thanks.  So much for keeping customers happy.
