That is just sick and for PETCO to endorse any group behind it is just as guilty.

Unhealthy DogsBoycott Description
At the beginning of last school year, I found a program at my local PETCO in Tamarac that would allow me to foster dogs for a week at a time. The foster group set up at this PETCO from 2-7 on Saturdays and Sundays and called themselves Pets In Distress. My family is full of animal lovers, so we kept the dogs coming through every week, and we thought we were doing the right thing. This foster group turned into a shady operation. Shots were being given in the bathroom, the dogs now had a price put on them. The prices would go up and down depending on how a person looked, what the runners of this organization believed the person could afford.
What's worse, they gave me unhealthy dogs to foster. Puppies, actually. Not even six weeks old, infected with Parvovirus. Yes, you heard me correctly. PARVOVIRUS. I was never told that this was the case. One of the puppies became extremely ill under my care, and we took her back to Ms. Sharynn who is in charge of the operation. She never said a peep.
Another dog got sick over my Thanksgiving break. We rushed her to the animal hospital, but it was too late by the time we got there. She had died in my arms. The other two puppies in the litter were saved by a woman with a beautiful heart who paid for their treatment and love them dearly.
Boycott Demands
I demand for PETCO to terminate this "Pets In Distress" operation. This foster group caused me emotional distress, and they are not treating their dogs the way they should be treated. No puppy deserves to die of Parvovirus. I will never get the images of her tiny, dehydrated body laying limply in my arms on the way to the hospital at 2 AM. Never.
