Boycott Description

Have you seen Jenny Craig's recent TV ad?  It features an airbrushed model who does not represent any woman who will come out the other end of a Jenny Craig program. this ad preys upon the insecurities of overweight women and how much they wish they could look like the perfect images that are proliferated in the media. I believe this to be a DIScouraging ad instead of an encouraging one.  I commit to never using Jenny Craig if they continue to hold up such impossible goals as part of their program. Sex may sell today, but that does not mean Jenny has to join the sleeze club.

Boycott Demands

I will not give a penny of mine to Jenny Craig. I will seek out other companies or other means of weight loss, ones that support images and outcomes that more closely reflect reality.
