Boycott of Big Fish Games

they charged me 6 pounds every month of this year and i get an email that i have just won a fuking stuffed fish???? are they fuc mad?!!!!

Their games suck and they make them cheap and sell them for lots of money.  I QUIT, BIG FISH!

BFG  lmao  it was a not bad company at one time,  but this last yr it has gone to hell in a handbag,, customer service sucks  , games  are poorly built  and usually crash now,,  no more live chat, no real people to talk to about problems,,  and these so called new  Free  games are nothing  but a rip off scam, do not ever ever purchase anything  for them,, its a waste of money.. This company is so childish if you comment on their  forums about  poor service  they ban  you from the forums,  now how childish is that,,  but oh so typical ,  as to where the company originates,  ,  My advice find a  europeon site or buy your games  direct from the developers , those usually work  better , and cone with no ads nor annoying clients which is just a way for  these idiot companies to  bombard you with this fetish for advertising every 2 secs in your face for crap you dont want.. As to the club , yes  i had problems  4 times with cancelling  billing,  and finally had to do a massive charge back through my credit card company ,   Go elseware is my advice,

Big Fish Games is a respectable company, it employs over 600 people and distributes over 2500 games. It has earned an A+ Business rating due to its response and resolution to complaints, and the relative low complaint volume for a business of its size.

People who complain about being charged for things the didn't play or purchase obviously signed up to the PAID membership club. This happens when you buy a game - you have to unselect the option to join the Big Fish Games club as this has a monthly payment of $6.99. This is why when you purchase anything online you should read the small print and text beside every check box. Most people skip over this then complain they didn't agree to this charge, but you did you as you didn't uncheck that option. Once you have an account that has your credit card details it is wise to go through every account setting because you will find that you can turn off recurring billing to end your paid membership but again people don't look. This is your money so it pays to check everything on your account especially when your card details are stored on file.

I used big fish games for a few months. Then Stopped. I just received Bank statement. I had a breakdown as my husband died. They are still billing me for 5 months now and someone else is using my account. What the....can I do???? I dont even remember passwords ect t0o be able to contact them so they wont even talk to me. What a crock company. Going to my bank today.

I hate their invasive ads and I got a strange game that was not mine when I downloaded last time.

having purchased from BF nearly 100 games I can say with confidence that there has never been a virus from them and that they are very ready and willing to provide refunds no questions asked.

i don't get the hoopla over the monthly fee - each month a game credit is applied to the account. the person claiming to have unknowingly had an account for 3 years must have a lot o' game coupons stacked up.

With one exception and it is recent, BF customer and technical support have been outstanding and some for others to model. I just have to caveat that a recent issue was handled in a ham fisted, unacceptable manager which tempers that positive view I have had of customer support.

There is a lot of good these guys offer - they track all the games purchased and allow any of them to be re-downloaded at any time.

If you attempt to purchase a game you own, they let you know that.

In addition to game club that earns a game a month, every few game purchases earns a free game.

If you're going to boycott - do it for a just cause, but don't try to tear down the livlihood of a company that is nearly but not quite perfect.

I agree with u all big fish games are a joke I have never had a game of them yet have been billed for the last three years and cannot get through on any of the numbers I just want it stopped and my money back as I don't see why I should pay for something ive never had I cannot believe the company is still active it's a laugh !!!!!!!

I have downloaded games from these people and O have never gotten any viruses or trojans of any kind from them. Also, as far as getting your money back, as soon as I found out that I was being billed, I asked how it happened. There is a free trial that comes with a game that is being purchased that has to be removed from the cart. I used the chat window to to talk to a rep and they helpped me figure out when and how the monthly service started and also credited me for both months that my account was charged without and resistance, drama or annoying promises of discounts if I stay. I simply asked them for what I wanted and I got it with no problems. Maybe that will work for you guys too.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY A TECH TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER LIKE I DID AND IT WAS A COST OF  200 TO FIX IT ... DUE TO THE FACT I DID A VIRUS SCAN WITH NOD-32 AND TOLD ME AND SHOWED ME WHO WHAT  MADE MY WIFE LAP TOP CRASHED AND WAS A TROJAN FROM THE SITE OF BIG FISH GAMES ...AND NOW WIFE AND I TALKED TOO A LAWYER AND WE ARE IN THE PROCESS ON SUING THEM FOR THE DAMAGES THAT WAS DONE FROM THERE SITE.....SO PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS SIE OF BIG FISH GAMES THEY DO NOT TELL THE TRUTH IN THERE FINE PRINT ABOUT THE PRIVACY AND POLICYS MAJOR LOOPS ....BE AWARE THERE GAMES ARE HOLDING TROJANS AND VIRUS.....

I agree with other people on this boycott!! I have been billed for over a year for service I longer have!!  I called asked to be removed and I am still being billed monthly!! I want all my money back, for something I have not used!!
