The boycott of Laura Ingraham is both unfair and impractical. A boycott should involve not only her tv show but every conservative talk show host on radio and TV who teased the Hoggfather.abiut his grades, but mainly his self-serving attitude.
I know of four local radio hosts (SC) who have rightly condemned Hogg, yet Blue Apron (along with several of the "look at us" cool companies) continue to advertise and sponsor these shows. Why? Because withdrawing from Ingraham publicly exerts minimal effect on their bottom line, whereas pulling ad sponsorship from local markets where "relationships" between host and listener are very personal could potentially destroy.swathes of hard-earned market share.
I continue to shop at our local Ace and still see the same people there each weekend. Boycotters tend to be organized bullies who rarely frequent the stores or use the products they appear passionate about.
I have cancelled Blue Apron and Hulu because this issue provided the impetus for decisions that were long overdue. I have also stopped purchasing Nutrish as a result of their decision to be "trendy"and silence free speech.
The Hogg et al. Have been quiet for at least 15 minutes. Maybe real victims of the violence will now be allowed to mourn in peace and upon reflection pursue genuine political action and not this ersatz debacle that has been waiting with bloodlust for an appropriate killing spree.
