When dealing with a local store located in Flint MI myself and my partner were met with disparaging remarks of homophobic rhetoric and candor. the salesman Robert made several off colored gay innuendo remarks during our shopping experience. We had gone in to look at Mattress and TV's for new purchase and upon entering the mattress dept we begin to check out the different levels of comfort by laying down side by side. Robert came over and asked if we were looking to by, I said yes, "We" are buying together. He looked dumb founded. We we asked about the best way to determine level of comfort, he stated "I am sure you want it Firm, it seems you'd like it that way". We ignore this at first until we then went to the TV department and look at High Def, and Robert standing there listening heard us discussing as to what each was considering, Bill wanted a 55in and I wanted a 65in  HDTV. When Robert heard me say "I believe, the 65in is a better choice, he remarked: "I can tell you like Bigger and more inches" . OK that was enough, I said excuses us while we talk. I told my partner we should do business elsewhere where we aren't subjected to homophobic demoralization by a bigot, being Sarcastic. My partner decided because we had our credit card through Synchrony Bank (formally GE Bank) we should deal with it and contact Reggie the store manager. We mad the purchase and five days later the TV was on the blitz, we called in and eventually had to bring the TV back and low and behold had Robert approach us yet again. He had apparently spoke to Reggie and he sent him over. Robert said..You have to stick with the same size or bigger and you can't go down price wise. I immediately got Reggie and told him we want a different salesman, and was shocked Robert would even come over to us. I contacted the Corp Ofc after we paid for a more expensive TV nearly $2, 000 in value, and told the corporate secretary of what had happen. Some seven days later no response, Called Corp again, and finally ask with Randy Novenski, Regional manager who stated nothing we can do other than have a conversation with Robert, and we don't tolerate those kinds of interactions. I sated I want some training for store as to interaction with customers perceived to be gay and GE is strong on Gay Diversity. He stated nothing more we'll do then talk with Robert. Yet another consumer complaint sweep to the side because of the nature of the subject matter...clearly this persons should be more than reprimanded and further training of all associates

Boycott Demands

ABC Warehosue, do not patronize any businesses, and Synchrony Bank card contact the credt card company and demand the uphold their anti-discriminatory Practice for Credit and Goods and services in retail setting 801-816-4778
