Boycott Title

Ebay unfair practices

Boycott Description

Ebay constantly limits the seller account and ends auctions. This last time was due to a dispute in Paypal from a transaction that was outside of ebay. In order to lift the restriction it can take from 24 to 48 hours as instructed in the email received.  It has been longer than that now. This is a recurring problem.

Boycott Demands

Lift restriction immediately and contact the watchers that were watching the items of the auctions that were ended and notify them that the auction has been relisted and that ebay was sorry that they ended the auction they were watching.

STOP BUYING on eBay

Only way for a Power seller to get even with the war going on against sellers on ebay is too NOT buy on ebay. Strangely ebay sellers are BIG buyers also, so teach ebay a lesson STOP ALL BUYING, until ebay gets the message lous and clear, Organize!

OMG I whish I knew this before

I truly think that eBay is overly protecting the buyer. Read this blog and you will see no matter what you do or how you describe your article if the buyer put a claim through your in trouble.

So sellers be aware and sell your items through Letgo never any issues there.

rECOMMEND EBAY TO A FRIEND

This is asked on surveys that are sent to me by Ebay. Are you kidding. If I recommended Ebay to any of my friends , it would not be very long and  I would not have those friends anymore. They would think I Led them in the wrong direction. Ebay just could not be a worse of a place to sell. It is just one of the few venues to sell so that is the only reason anyone still uses Ebay. WARNING DO NOT START SELLING ON EBAY. YOU WILL BE SO SORRY IN THE LONG RUN. THIS IS COMING FROM A SELLER WHO HAS SOLD FOR 15 YEARS. EBAY HAS CONSISTANTLY MADE IT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TO A POINT WHERE IT IS NEARLY INTOLLERABLE. I AM READY TO SELL WHAT I HAVE LEFT AND THAT IS IT. NO MORE SELLING ON EBAY.

ebay accidental duplicate listing

Ebay will suspend you for just accidentaly relisting the same item more than once. They send an email telling you that your item did not sell. Right next to the header on the email is a link to relist. If you relist from that link, it will do it but it still stays on your unsold list. When you relist using the bulk editor, from the unsold list, if you don't look carefully, you may relist that same item again since they do not take it off the list when you did the relist on the email link. How stupid. It may say in very fine print that you relisted this item but it goes ahead and lets you relist again without warning you that you already relisted the item. Certainly ebay has the ability to cross check and prevent this from happening, but instead they just penalize you for a week long suspension for not catching the 1 item you missed by accident. Ebay is the most ruidiculous organization I have ever dealt with and hopefully there will be a total failure of of there operation someday that will allow a more sensible company to become the new monopoly and squash them.

SELLER BEWARE ! - 1/27/15 2:01 PM

SELLER BEWARE !

SELLER BEWARE ! 4 words are all that ebay requires to give buyers a 100 % refund including all shipping charges. If buyer claims "Item Not As Described"you've lost the sale, the time and the shipping charges. Never mind the facts of the case.

I had a very long conversation today (1-27-14) with an ebay rep appealing a case which was decided against me (the seller). Ebay states very plainly and simply that when the buyer makes that claim, ebay will issue a full refund + all shipping charges no matter what, period, end of discussion.

Ebay does not and will not ask the buyer to prove a claim, only to make it.

Case details: Buyer purchased a green lampshade. Upon receipt, buyer claimed it was black and immediately filed a case with ebay before contacting us. We requested a photo which was twice ignored. Buyer returned the green lampshade and we issued refund less the shipping charge. Buyer asked ebay to refund shipping which ebay did from our funds in paypal account. Ebay rep's exact words were "We refunded this on your behalf.  Ebay does not and will not ask the buyer to prove a claim, only to make it."

We cannot support this omnipotent unilateral unfair and unbalanced system which advocates, promotes and fosters future unethical behavior and unfounded claims.

Because of ebay's over zealous bias, we have already reduced a previously very rapidly growing number of listings by 38% - from over 164 listings to just over 100. We will continue removing listings until we phase out all of ebay listings completely.

This is unfortunately what can happen when an organization like ebay gets too big, too quick with little competition. There is some hope on the horizon. Amazon is a great alternative and Alibaba may prove to be revolutionary and if you do not already have your own website, you are operating in the stone age.

I would strongly suggest the following course of action to any and all disgruntled sellers. Do not waste your time contacting ebay. Spend your time wisely blogging, posting, writing, tweeting, Facebooking, etc... about the negative and pervasive ebay policies against sellers.

Good luck - Jim

Only Way To Get Around Limits - 1/24/13 12:11 AM

Only Way To Get Around Limits

So eBay advertises on TV that you can sell everything in your home. The commercial literally shows a teenage girl scrolling thru double digit listings. This is false advertising.

I started brokering (buying and reselling) items after thanksgiving. I've won/purchased 100s of Laptops and GPS units all bought and paid for with eBay/paypal. At first the limits didn't bother me because the inventory was still in shipment to me. So i listed one here and one there. Now i find myself with a huge inventory worth about $23,000 usd ($8,900 usd out of my pocket invested) just sitting around idol because i have reached some secret number limit.

So to combat this I list some inventory in local classifieds and have sold 4 laptops and 7 GPS units. But it’s taken 3 weeks and 1,000s of fake interested inquiries via text message, also at-least 100 fake email inquiries. To be honest it’s a huge pain in my ass to go the local route. My eBay account is 6 years old; I only tried to sell one thing 6 years ago. It didn’t sale so I was turned off of selling because of the experience. So I mainly used the account to buy here and there. Then by accident I stumbled upon a measure/flaw that I won’t reveal right now, that assures me 95% win ratio of any auction I bid on without paying more than wholesale. So to im stuck with a huge inventory of laptops and GPS units. So I bought an eBay store, I design a whole website around this eBay store. Only to find out I am basically paying eBay to not allow me to sell my items. This sickens me to the core. So what I did was physically went to eBay and refused to leave until I had an answer.

I live in Sandy, Utah only a 5 minute drive from eBay’s customer support/service center. I've called and got no-where a few times. This time i drove down to the customer support/service center. The bottom-line is I wanted answers, and someone was going to look me in the face and answer my questions. Finally after kicking and scratching with multiple secretary and security stations for about 2 hours. I finally got a manager to come talk to me. They told me straight-out they do not publish these numbers but Laptops are limited to 1 listing per month for the 1st 90 days. GPS units are limited to 5 listings per month for the 1st 90 days. These limits include not sold items. So say you list that 1 laptop and it doesn't sale, that’s it! You have had your 1 laptop listing try again in 30 days. These limits are not negotiable in the 1st 90 days, no exceptions. So do not waste your time with trying to get them lifted. However the eBay system is flawed in many ways, one flaw allows you to get around some limits in the last 24hours of an active listing. But that means you have to place the item in a different category and switch it. This is too risky especially if you’re a serious seller trying to build a business. If the system flags you and the MC’s (Example: MC999) follow-up and catch you doing that once, its instant auto-suspension. My advice is learn to adapt or use the eBay site feedback tool to send in complaints daily, weekly or as often as you can. Eventually someone will have had enough and address the limit crap seriously. I dare them to ban someone for sending in feedback.

Ebay Feedback s a farce!!!

I just received an email from ebay saying that my negative comments as a buyer had been removed because I left a high number of negative feedbacks in a 12 month period.  thde number of negative feedbacks left was 3.  As a seeler I get unfair negtive feedbacks and when I complain, they tell me that there is nothing they can do.  I usually don't leave negative feedback but when a sell er is so ugly and leaves me ugly messages, isn't it time to leave a negative feedback?  Well anyway, I am confused.  Why al the double standards?  I actually HATE Ebay but because it is the fastest way to sell i am at their mercy.  Someday something will come along that will top them, fingers crosed!!!!

EBay is unfair to sellers

Ebay is unfair to the sellers. They lie to people who call up and explain the situation between the buyer and seller they give false information.

Buyers can say anything and get a refund and charge  the seller.

ebay has no seller protection

a buyer opened a case against me stating that the item is not as described. bs. i had pictured all of the scratches on the item and described them all except the hardcase for the guitar had some scratches around the outside of the case which were clearly visible in the pics but, i didn't mention them in the listing. i offered a partial refund even though i lost money already on the item BEFORE i paid commissions to ebay and paypal which is owned by ebay. they get a double dip on commissions when paying with paypal. they always believe the buyer and not the seller even though they make their money from the seller. once i clear out my inventory, i'll never use ebay for selling or buying.

Boycott Ebay! Unfair dispute resolution!

I want to join you guys because I am a victim of ebay.  I am being a honest seller on ebay since 2002.  I had to eat all the shipping costs because the buyer claimed that the item was not as described.   For auction item was listed for parts and not working.   I sold more than 100 of similar item.  All buyers were happy except one.  He wants a return because he over bid on the auction. I will Forget ebay from now!  I will ask my Lawyer to see whether or not I have a case.

The same as other sellers.  I had to eat all the shipping costs because the buyer claimed that the item was not as described.  The item looks like new and operates perfectly.  The eBay resolution center is a sham.  Goodbye eBay.

WALK WAWY FROM EBAY

EBAY HAS CHANGED FROM WHEN I FIRST STARTED SELLING ON THEIR SITE IN '04. AND NOT FOR THE BETTER. EVEN WITH THE HIGHER FEES, THAT ISN'T MY GRIPE. NOW THERE IS NO PROTECTION FOR SELLERS. BUYERS HAVE ALL THE RIGHTS. EVEN IF YOU ARE A TOP RATED POWERSELLER WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF BEING HONEST, AND SHIPPING ITEMS QUICKLY. I FIND THIS LUDICRIS SINCE WE AS SELLERS ARE THE ONES WHO MAKE THEIR SITE POSSIBLE. IF WE ALL WALKED AWAY THEY WOULD CHANGE THEIR TUNE QUICK. I URGE ANYONE WHO USES EBAY TO CANCEL THEIR MEMBERSHIPS UNTIL EBAY CHANGES THEIR RULES AND "LEVELS THE PLAYING FIELD" BETWEEN BUYERS AND SELLERS. UNTIL THAT HAPPENS I WILL NOT PARTICIPATE. THEIR ATTITUDE THAT THEY ARE THE BIGGEST AND THE BEST MUST BE DEFEATED, AND THE ONLY WAY TO DO THAT IS TO UNITE AGAINST THEM. BUT IN A NATION OF FAT LAZY AMERICANS I DONT SEE IT HAPPENING ANYTIME SOON.

Ebay has been unfiar to sellers which is discrimination. Without sellers there will be no buyers. Ebay and paypal have started restricting access to payments due to poor 5 star ratings, even if rating is untrue. This practice inhibits shipping the purchased item to the buyer. Everyone is a vistim of ebay. I will be opening my own website and selling on Amazon. Not only did ebay loose a seller they lost a buyer.

E-bay is pushing away its sellers!

Ive been a member buying and selling since 2000. They have now restricted my 99.3 postive feedback account for my positive feedbacks for not being "positive" or "green" enough. My lowest DSR (what a joke those are lol!) is a 4.7 & they still give me BS saying my account is below standard etc. They are going so crazy with this whole "Limiting peoples accounts" thing how do they expect to make more money or not lose money? Safe to say they're making super desperate moves that only "push us sellers away"!!

EBAY/PAYPAL ARE A JOKE.

I have sold on ebay since 2003, selling mostly rolling stock..heavy equipment, trucks, motorcycles, parts etc. Their fees are nuts, and paypal just decides to hold money for no reason to collect interest for themselves. Buyers can do anything they like and screw the seller. But sellers are left holding the bag and footing the bill for the whole show!

If I ran my business like they do I would be run out of town!!

Good Bye Ebay! I'm so angry with ebay. I was a powerseller and sold 1000s of items on Ebay for the past 4 years. I have a 99.7% positive feedback rating but my item as described fell to 1.14%....which is .14% too low. SO I can only list a certain amount. A buyer can put whatever he/she wants on the feedback report and now those answers a limit a seller to list items. I opend a new account and sold about 40 items and had 100% feedback then all of a sudden they won't let me list more than 10 items in a month since I"m a new seller. What a joke!! I hope ebay goes down down down. All they care about is the buyer (buyer can leave negative feedback, buyer protection program ,etc.). HELLO EBAY...if us sellers all leave there's no buyers either.

12 Year Ebay Seller Calling It Quits

Bye Bye Ebay! You are suspending a seller with over 10,000 successful transactions and a 99.8% positive feedback rating for an few low DSRs? Guess what? Fewer sellers equals fewer buyers. I am tired of your s*** and I am taking my product to Amazon and Epier where they know sellers are not second class citizens. We all know who really makes them money.

Loyal seller banned for low DSR - I am done with FEEbay

I had been a loyal seller (even had a store) Ebay;s new policy is so wrong, they are shooting themselves in the foot.  A buyer can put ANYTHING on the buyers DSR (detailed sellers rating) and if you fall below Ebays line they will suspend you with no warning.  I loved ebay had fun doing it while making a few extra bucks. Ebay is all about the buyer.  Sellers can only leave positive feedback, but buyers can leave neg. or neutral.  Come on it does not tak a rocket scientist to figure this out.  John Donohoe I hope you are happy -  YOU single handly did this.  The little people always get screwed and this is no exception.

So what a scam is EBAY running!

wow!

i just got off the chat with a rep and he told me in order to get the 100 free  listings offered a seller has to have at least 12 ratings per  month by buyers (feedback). So if as a new seller you are only allowed to sell 10 things per month (according to their rules) how are you supossed to be able to aply? it is like they are saying "here come and list for free we will help get your bussiness going".....and then say....."oh we forgot to tell you, you just don't apply because you don't have enought feedback, well you just have to do better and then you'll get the promotion".......so  the get you running in circles...very dirty.... i am trying ebid, we'll see how it goes.

otherwise, my  baby is going to child care and I to a 9-5 job so I can buy diapers for her.

Another incident:
ebay is running a 100 free listing items. However, if you are a new seller as I am. I am only allowed to post 1 item per day. As I look at the “list you item” (last page) it is charging me the listing fee!
I have to call e-bay, wait 30 minutes to chat, once they pick up, I spend a minimum of 1 to 2 hours with them to try get my $1 refund….??? is this on purpose, so we get tired of calling everyday to ask for our money and they get their listing fee? i tried to fix this issue yesterday, and the customer rep promised me the problem was fixed and that i would not be charged again until i reached the 101 item. Today i had the same issue. as i was trying to fix the issue the rep. gave me the runaround. I told him the same thing i told the girl yesterday “to please fix this because i have an 18th month old i need to look after and gets into trouble, i cannot be on the computer chatting for 2 hours while she gets hurt” well right now she has a purple cheek soon to be black. And to top it all off the rep. just hung up on my! he totally dissed me, now i am on hold for another 30 minutes. I am so furious, i am about to type up a thing and send it to the local news. I have the copies of the chat they send to my e-mails! i am so furious because I called 2 times, i got lied to, hung up to, and now my 18 month old daughter has a purple cheek , and worst of all i might have to be calling everyday to get my $1 refunds?
If anyone starts a law suit for something similar please let me know i am so joining.
Thank you for reading this

I can't believe E-bay started restricting ALL new sellers. Before they just held your money in Paypal until the buyer received the item. Now when you open a new account E-bay has this ridiculous limit that you can only sell 10 things per month for 3 months! No matter what a good seller you are proving to be and need to sell more than 10 things per month! I have a toddler and in order to stay home with her I need to do this type of a job, otherwise I will have to work nights and weekend at a department store job. So i opened 2 e-bay accounts to see if at least i could bounce between the two of them until the 3 months pass. however it has been more than 30 days since the last sale i the first account and my account is still frozen with the "you can't sell anything yet" words. I tried contacting e-bay, but they won't even give you their phone # to call, them. all you get is the "chat" option and it advices you it will be 90 minutes until someone can get to me....are you kidding me?.....90 minutes.....????? who's got 90 minutes????.....so i searched around and i am trying a new action house called "auction fire" it is very similar to e-bay (maybe created by a frustrated e-bay seller) they don't charge any listing fees, only 2.5% of the item sold which is very reasonable compared to the 12% e-bay charges. you can post many pictures, and you can "talk to someone" if you have an issue. the only thing, it is a newer auction house, so we'll see the turn out. please spread the word and let's try this place! you can bring all you feedback from e-bay too!(i have almost 5,000).i just found a number where i could call and talk to someone instead of being re-directed to some websites. But it was useless, when i asked the perosn why i still have the "no selling restriction" he said because i reached my limit and that there won't be a restriction after 90 days...are you kidding me?...another 60 days?....right now is the selling time not after Christmas....no wonder why e-bay is financially in the gutter, with such bad policies. Also when i look at what specific things are restricted to only a certain amount sold per month there is nothing that says "DOLLS" (i sell dolls). so my last try is that action fire place otherwise, I will be forced to find some child care and leaving my 18 month old in hands of some stranger while I go work so I can buy her diaper, and food. NOT LOOKING fORWARD TO THIS!  Please spread the word on "AUCTION FIRE" maybe we can all get rid of this inflated e-bay and start a better bussines with a much ethical auction house.

eBay Owes me $40.00 for prematurely placing a shipping charge that could NOT be deleted. And I have send eBay several e-mails that eBay dos NOT have my permission to withdraw any funds from my Bank Account until they credit my $40.00 loses for which I have explained numerous times by e-mails, they are ignoring all my e-mails and are creating much displeasure, animosity and anger to a good client and acting like thief's, that are out of control. I  DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM eBay or any other organization that are DISHONEST AND ACT ONLY FOR THEIR OWN INTEREST, I am very upset with the billing or any department that are not taking appropriate action for my Problem CREATED BY eBay. For their information I have already filed several complaints with the appropriate Government agencies, State and Federal and if necessary I'll take legal action against eBay for this amount and more. I'd like to make it clear one more time that you do NOT have my permission to take any fund until I get a credit for $40.00.

BOYCOTT FEEBAY!!!!

FeeBay bites the big one. A bunch of morons that don't care about sellers problems but if a buyer has a problem 99.9% of the time they'll side with the buyer. I have been selling on it over 6 years and now i'm done with them for good. A lady bought some toys from me and I shipped them using USPS but I didn't purchase additional delivery confirmation cause she didn't pay for it. I mail it and she claims she never received it. I have the original receipt that shows it was mailed to her exact town, the date and time, and zip code. She opened a case against me and Ebay naturally sided with her cause they "can't track the package" with the receipt from the post office. The case was opened for approximately 3 days and then it was automatically closed decided in her favor even after I responded about it. They keep emailing me to pay some bogus resolution fee (which I refuse to pay) or they'll send to collections. They can kiss my ass those bunch of braindead zombies!!! Don't sell on there you'll have many problems as a seller.
