Boycott Title

Yahoo has many issues

Boycott Description

Are you tired of Yahoo? I am. I have been a customer for many years. Over the past year or so their site has been deteriorating to the point that it is too frustrating to even use. They censor words such as 'god' 'christ'  'allah' islam' and so many many more..this is the 'beginning' of the crushing of free speech. I can see censoring vulgar language but regular words such as those is beyond comprehension. I have tried to contact them many times regarding email account troubles. posting troubles and many others only to get NO RESPONSE except an 'automated one'. They have absolutely no desire to address site problems or to deal with customers. I have trouble responding to post, I have trouble posting, the thumbs up/down never works and trying to read replies and respond to post is entirely frustrating. I have had trouble trying to close game accounts as well..Yes Yahoo has many issues and I for have left them today FOR GOOD..Adios Yahoo. It's been real and it's been nice, but it ain't been real nice..

Boycott Demands

I am boycotting yahoo until they attempt to address the problems mentioned above, which I do doubt they intend to do.  I have moved to Google, and am hoping I have much less frustration there. I advise anyone else who uses yahoo to do the same, if there is a large 'exodus' of users maybe they will 'shape up'

Seems like I have been banned or something from commenting on yahoo news, sports, etc.....I complained once, and then that twirly icon thing disappeared and i was able to post comments for 2 days....after that, I was banned again.  Why?  I dont know, my use of God, or talking about Mom Nature, who knows what their problem is....I dont use harsh language but it seems like they dont like me.  I will eliminate Yahoo after all these years if this persists, If this is done intentionally to control the minds of Americans and what they say, we really have something to worry about in this country.

Yahoo Endorses Child Pornography

Like the title says, Yahoo has led me to believe that they endorse child pornography being made and watched, on its servers. I emailed them to let them know and they replied that I should talk to the webmaster of the offending site.

After a second, more strongly worded email to them, they told me that I should set my 'adult-content filter' properly.

I've reported this site to the FBI and the relevent authorities and the updates will be recorded here:

Yahoo needs their ass whooped!

THE WORST POOR EXCUSE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! Never got my problem solved. After numerous attemps and a hour of trying to open an account i had for over 10 years, i was then locked out from trying to get in  the damn thing for 12hours. I guess so i can take time to focus on how much YAHOO sucks and to drop them....

Yahoo customer service??

I have been trying to contact Yahoo via email. I may as well try bashing my head against a brick wall. It would take a miracle to be able to find out how anyone can send an email to "customer service" What customer service?, there appears to be no way of sending an email to anyone at Yahoo, especially if you want to complain about spam being sent out by Yahoo account holders.

Personal Information... Can anyone say 'lawsuit'? - 10/1/10 5:40 PM

Personal Information... Can anyone say 'lawsuit'?

So, now that Yahoo has decided they're a social networking site as well, I find that my personal profile information is being shared without my permission.

Instead of the default being 'Share with no one' the default is 'Share with everyone' for my display name, which is expected, but also for my gender and my location! If I were dumb enough to fill that part of my profile out Yahoo has just invited a stalker for me and given them my home address.

Even if I have connections, I may not want them to know my age, birthday, and full name. But Yahoo didn't give me that option, that's the default. To add insult to injury, when I navigated to the 'Manage my profile' page and attempted to change any of these settings, Yahoo gave me a nasty error message and told me my wording was bad. That was the literal error message, "Bad wording".

When I attempted to contact -anyone- at Yahoo, I was initially greeted by a recorded message kindly letting me know that the call volume was high because a lot of people have had their accounts hacked and spam sent from them. Uhhhhh.... That's encouraging. Selecting 'Technical support' got me a recorded message indicating that I can only receive technical support on the internet, then it hung up. Being the outside of the box thinker that I am, I redialed and chose 'Account security' instead. I am very concerned about my account security, since these morons seem to have made it their primary mission to make my personal everything public... I got a woman who actually seemed interested in helping, but literally had no way to do so. She again directed me to the online help. When I informed her about the error messages she again seemed willing to help, but denied that those could possibly be Yahoo error messages. All I know is that they're purple, like the Yahoo 'Y', they use the same font, and they pop up when I try to make changes to my Yahoo profile. This happens on both IE and FireFox. Seems pretty cut and dried to me...

The long (and this is -very- long, but boy do I feel better...) is that I think I'll create [email protected] and have my mail ported over. These bastards can go soak their heads. On the other hand, they're probably very glad to be rid of me, since I've never purchased a darn thing from them ever. I guess we're even.

Yahoo worst site ever - 8/21/10 8:43 PM

Yahoo worst site ever

Yahoo really sucks.  It is the worst site that I had a bad experience with.  For being with them for almost 11 years, I am now with MSN.  Best site ever.  Yahoo customer service is the worst.  You get swore at, hung up on, etc.  I have emailed them with no satisfactory that is why I decided to close down my yahoo account and go to MSN.
