Received an offer of 24.99 for 6 months to renew my services, but found that they charged 122.90 to my credit card.  Called to let them know about the error and all they had were excuses.  Apparently because I had used there service in the past I didn't qualify for that offer even though they emailed it to me.  Never told that up front, told that my card would be charged 27.44.  I had to dispute the charge.  Horrible customer service!  Will never use again and hope they go bankrupt.

I told SiriusXM satellite radio no auto billing for renewal.... They charged my account $187 anyhow without my approval. And my current plan doesn't end til May. Three calls now to get a credit and NO RESULTS. What a gyp outfit!!!!!!! BEWARE!! i'VE WASTED A LOT OF TIME trying to get this fixed.

If XM has all of our email addresses, why does the company not try, at least, to contact us in re this non-communication?  I can just synch my iphone into Pandora Radio.  Cost .99 for the app(or free), with almost unlimited stations/broadcasts.  I think I'll contact GM with this-I paid a lot of $$$$ for this truck, and one of the enticements was XM radio.  If it doesn't work, I won't sign up after "TRIAL MEMBERSHIP" runs out...if this is a trial membership........GUILTY!

Crappy FM reception-non-existent customer service

The customer service at XM sucks.  After complaining about my lousy FM reception, the chicken-head shuttled me to 3 other idiots who couldn't or wouldn't help

Worst service

Been an XM customer since day 1, until this past week, never again! Had 6 accounts and they decided to cut one of them off in the middle of a trip to FL, figured since I drove back 1,000 miles without it, I could live without it the rest of the time.  WORST customer service I've ever delt with, not a matter of speaking english, but they do not understand it.

Annilalation of Customer Relations

I am so frustrated with the run around and response I've had from Sirius/XM Radio Listener "Care" (none) that I feel like ripping out the wires in my car and getting them out of my life forever. Unfortunately, I don't want to lose what I've already invested. I own two radios and one account is a lifetime. The second radio was purchased a year ago for my husband's vehicle. I was under the misconception from the dealer that I could add the second radio to my XM account. Unfortunately, I could not and couldn't afford to buy a lifetime subscription at that time. My husband passed away in April and I now have no use for his radio. I just received a bill for another year and wanted to upgrade this account to a lifetime and give it to a grandchild. I wanted them to deduct the amount I paid last year and I would pay the difference (which is double the cost I paid for the other radio). I have spent "hours" on the phone with a Listener Care rep and a supervisor trying to get this done. The best they came up with is paying the going rate of $699 in addition to last year's price of $166. It's ludicrous to believe that a company of their size wouldn't accomodate a subscriber with two radios and internet service since 2006 to maintain good customer relations!! I wish they had some stiff competition to jeopardize their monopoly (i.e. cable and telephone companies)!!!

I too am currently on the telephone line awaiting a third customer service rep since since the previous two mysteriously were disconnected after I asked for a customer service rep in the US and to speak to a supervisor. I was informed they didn't have a telephone number in the US. I should call back later and my chance of being transfered to a US representative was 1 in 10. When I asked for a supervisor I was put on hold listening to music and was disconnected twice. 15 minutes have gone by and am about to disconnect  with XM myself. I certainly understand why their customer service rating is so low.

f- XM

Currently on the phone with XM....have been passed along 3 times now and am sitting on hold. I got XM for my car and LOVED it, so I got it for my dads truch because I thought he would like it too. He ended up not liking it and returned it AND CALLED AND CANCELLED almost a month ago. I still recieved a charge on my account. They can't refuned me the full amount because even though it was cancelled and returned, the billing cycle began on the 23th and I am calling 28th....and that it will take 7-10 bussiness days to process. I am pretty close to cancelling the XM in my car too!

Reasons to never subscribe

My letter to XM.

"I have been trying unsuccessfully for two week to get my XM NavTraffic working after YOU shut it off for absolutely NO reason. I have spent at least 5 hours with your reps in the Philippines, one who hung up on me, two who transferred me to at least two other people, and three who PROMISED me they would fix the problem. All of them did precisely NOTHING. I would love to see how much money you are paying your out-sourced employees to lie to consumers.

Not only am I canceling my five accounts after 5 years, I am going to post on EVERY SINGLE complaint web site I can find, report you to the Better Business Bureau, and Facebook, Twitter and chat how horrible you and your reps have been to deal with. I am going to write letters and follow up with all of my local media and national media. FCC and the SEC are also on my list.

I hope your company finally fails, your stock holders lose their shirts, your Board of Directors AND CEO all get sent to the cleaners. I will take pride in knowing that I have had a piece in your demise.

You are by far, the very worst company for customer satisfaction. I will make sure you are case studies of bad customer service and it's relation to failure in business.

Goodbye XM Radio... don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out."

Over

Saturday, 8/21/10-went online to pay my quarterly bill of $97.98.  30 minutes later, found out they took $391.92 from my checking account.  In the past 4 days, I have made over 17 calls, investing more than 8 hours trying to get my money back.  Now have overdraft charges totalling $120.00, so now out $413.94.  Have gotten $195.96 back, but still can't get remaining $97.98 plus overdraft charges back, despite being told by a supervisor in the Carribean that a refund will be issued within 24 hours.  That was three days ago.

Finally, called New York.  Still waiting for promised call back that was promised 3 hours ago.  Will be calling again shortly.  This company should be shut down; total rip out.

Credit Card charges

I received the trial subscription to XM Radio with the purchase of my Chevy Pickup in 2007.  I did not listen that much, so I did not renew.  Now, as I was checking my credit card statement, I saw a charge for $164.25 on July 29, 2010.  This is likely happening to many previous subscribers.  I just wish I had been more diligent during the last two years--they probably charged me for a service not received at that time, also.  I disputed the charge, but I will doggedly pursue this charge if I have any problem with them.  Thanks for putting this boycott owl on your website.  Please listen to us XMRadio!

Improper charges to Credit Card - 8/1/10 9:34 AM

Improper charges to Credit Card

I called XM Radio to swap a new phone for one that was failing. While on the phone with the Customer Service rep, she offered me an additional radio for a discounted delivered price of $19.99. I asked 4 times if any obligation came with that offer. She informed me that "I could give it as a gift, sell it, or keep it as a backup if my new radio failed like the first one did". Imagine my surprise when they not only charged me $30+ for the radio, they charged my credit card for a second subscription. Another call got me a promise of a credit to my card in 3 or 4 days. 17 days later, not so much as a nickel. Never ever give this company your credit card. It gives them the opportunity to steal from their customers.

XM does not know good music programming - 7/19/10 5:58 PM

XM does not know good music programming

Huge gaps in their music programming - completely sucks.  They dedicate stations to "the Boss" and the Dead, then play them other stations too WFT??? - BUT, they totally ignore complete genres of music - I happen to like progressive rock - but they don't have room for that genre (which Slacker serves up nicely with over 200 artists in that category BTW), because, lord knows we need a station dedicated to SPRINGSTEIN!  AWFUL!  Then there's two metal stations, one of that specializes in Winger and Ratt!  Give me a fricken break! Guess they had to cut corners to pay for washed up cats like Howard and Baba WaWa...makes me want to hurl. My kids could do better programming. Yep XM...you have progressed just like MTV - serving up a boat load of crap that focuses on everything but music.  I'm all for good talk stations as long as you don't "F" your stock holders by paying them millions AND at they same time lose total sight of decent music programming...  My response: SLACKER and PANDORA - they stream great through the iPhone then patch it it in through the car stereo - and I can fast forward and customize my stations - chew on that XM!

XM sucks!

I have been trying to cancel since January 2010. I called them twice and sent them a note. They finally turned off the broadcast but are now saying I owe them money and they have turned my account over to a collection agency. Stay away from these losers!

Owe me money!

They keep giving me the runaround on refunding my money back when i cancelled. I am going to send it to the Attorney General for my state since in essence it is THEFT on their part. I canceled but had already been charged the year amount. Now they owe me 258.00 Anyone have a number to corporate headquarters? You get no where by calling the other numbers.

If they want me back, make it easy to cancel

I tried to cancel and it took 45 minutes.  Couldn't do it from my online account (STUPID!).  I liked XM but if you sell a car/device and no longer want to pay for the service, it should be easy to let it go.  You'll be happy to resubscribe when you get a new car/device with it.  Now I'm just thinking XM is a trash company doomed to fail.  Short term gains at the expense of their customers will yield long term losses on the bottom line.  If you own stock, sell it!

WTF

XM is great.  Tell them you are going to leave you can get a year for $88 bucks.  No outsource to India.  The guy I talked to was here in the USA and it is all good.

XM is great and so is Sirius.  I have them both.

XM problems

Twice in a row, they charged my CC without authorization. Same old story like rest of many peoplesuffered frustration and anger. On top of it, it has been a month that I am waiting for my refund. Their sound quality is getting worse as well.  Why should I cancel? 'cause XM sucks more than ever.

Actual charges differ from agreed charges - 2/27/10 11:20 AM

Actual charges differ from agreed charges

I was a long time subscriber, but I cancelled (Feb 2010) when my credit card statement did not reflect the charge I agreed to over the phone.  Without telling me, and with NO authorization, they added over 30% in fees/taxes to the amount I was told I'd be charged.

I gave them a chance to redeem themselves. Their proposal was to refund less than HALF of the fees they hid from me in order to gain my renewal.  These fees were hidden all the way until they were pulled from my credit!

Had I not checked my statement they would've gotten away with robbery, as I'm sure they do regularly.  Watch you statement if you stay!  Otherwise, please boycott to demonstrate it is unacceptable for XM to assume free reign over consumers credit.

Tried and tried to cancel

My subscription ended and I decided not to re-activate. They called and I told them I wanted it canceled. The reciever was turned off but then I recieved a bill. Called customer service and they I agreed to pay and they said my account was canceled. This happened 3 months in a row. Finally, after screaming at a manager, I was promised it was canceled. Next month, another bill. Refused to pay so they sent it in to a collection agency.

Lousy Customer Service

Deactivated from online listening. Informed it's now an additional $2.99/mo. I said no way.  Asked to speak to a manager & told they were all in a meeting. No call back after two hours.

Have 3 accounts & planned to give a receiver to my daughter for Christmas. Decided to cancel my accounts based upon principle. Really only listen to a handful of stations.

Customer service & the "save team" could care less that they were losing a good & loyal multi account customer.

XM is a monopoly gone bad - 12/12/09 3:40 PM

XM is a monopoly gone bad

Their customer service is horrible and they charge your credit card without permission for "reactivations" on defective equipment purchased directly from XM!  Twice I've had replacement equipment (under warranty) that had to be reactivated and they forced me (I already have two lifetime memberships) to pay for reactivation!  Then they tell you can call back and try to get a credit.  UNREAL.  It takes hours of your time on these calls to get your credit and they don't credit the full amounts and you have to call back more.  They put you on hold constantly as they juggle multiple calls at once.  Love the music and entertainment and they have a monopoly so their is no choice and they know it.

Why should I cancel - 9/27/09 1:26 PM

Why should I cancel

Just because you are unhappy does n ot mean that I should give up my listening enjoyment.

I will continue to listen.  I don't care where their call center is located I have a number that will allow me to reach someone that speaks english and the only reason to call is to change a CC number or to cancel.

Pretty simple if you ask me.

Happy listener since 2008 and Channel 28 is my favorate.
