Boycott of Wells Fargo

Do not buy houses which you can not afford. Maybe get a smaller house bigger is not always better

When I was looking into a new bank for my business account. I went with Bank of America because they seem to actually care. I have since closed my only Wells Fargo account and have two business accounts at B of A and one personal account. Much happier with them!  

Matt King is in construction. Like every one else in his occupation,  buisness is way off. He has gone thru all his savings and part of mine in order to try to keep his home. He has been in a constant attempt to get a loan modification for the past year with no success.

After we had decided that keeping the house didn't look possible, Wells Fargo sent 4 certified letters on September 24, stating that if he paid $2500.00 it would suspend the forecloseure. September 28, 2010 he made the payment by the deadline. 7 DAYS LATER THEY AUCTIONED THE HOUSE. Now Matt and Ashley are moving out their home to live with family and Ashley, Matt's wife, is 8 months expecting. WellsFargo is aware of that also and they have nothing to say other than "Oh, Well."

You do know how banking works, right?  The fewer of us who store our money with W-F, the fewer options W-F has to modify a mortgage or allow a short-sale.  Has W-F actually done something illegal?  Or are they acting in a way counter to their stated contract with particular homeowners or to their stated customer service goals?  Are they cheating customers or being discriminatory?  If not, I really don't see why we should be boycotting W-F.  The housing crisis sucks.  It's sucked for a lot of families.  W-F has a business to run though, they can't just say--forget the money you owe us.  Try to convince us otherwise, please.
