Walmart has an awful pricing structure, has terrible quality of merchandise, is overcrowded, has horrendous customer service, has many terrible corporate policies, underpays all employees except for the executives (who are grossly overpaid), and the stores actually smell awful. Because of all of this, it doesn't take a boycott on boycott owl to create an actual boycott. The only people that I see going into that store regularly are government welfare slaves (that includes most of their employees).
Walmart employees pushed CPR certified citizens away from a dying man, read more here: http://www.kcby.com/news/local/128101928.html

I see that people are still joining the boycott! Thanks for your support! Since Walmart has not chosen to comment or reply to all of the supporters, it only makes sense that this continue. Although they have lifted the "ban", there is still an issue regarding their employees disregarding the issue that they were presented with. The only reason that this child abuser did not just walk away was because WE did not let them, and my son made sure of that. There is a young girl at the center of all of this, and Walmart needs to ensure that incidents such as this one need to be taken seriously, and responded to appropriately. Thank you again for viewing, joining, commenting and sharing!

I am happy to report that I received a call from "Richard" today who apologized on behalf of Walmart. THE BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED! Richard acknowledged that after viewing the security tapes of the whole incident, he understood our concerns and said that the actions taken by the security employees were "extreme". Thank you to each and every person who joined this boycott, and to those who commented and viewed. We created an impact and this issue got the recognition that it deserved. Thanks again to all! Diane.

I completely get where you are going with your comment about an older couple doing the same thing...the security personnel were basically the same age as the consumer...so this was an ego boost for them.
Please Walmart...are you serious? Remove the ban against this person, acknowledge that he was trying to do something good. Discipline your staff for acting out of line. This is really very sad.

Walmart has reached out to me...via message on my facebook. I had posted this story in their problem/resolution area on facebook, but as I expected, I received notice that my post was removed. It caused a bit of a stir, lots of back and forth opinions...However....I was asked to provide a phone number so that the "appropriate team" could follow up. I will keep everyone updated. They removed the post citing that it included "personal information". Not sure what they are talking about, no names...I'm sure it didnt shine a favorable light on the store...Will post the follow up when and if I receive it. Thanks again for all of your support! You are great people.
I wonder what would have happened if it was an older couple who did the same thing? Wal-Mart should be ashamed for turning the other way when this might have been this little girl's only chance to be removed from an abusive situation. I can't believe that the manager stood by and let this go on! There should more people in the world like this young man.

I have a call in to the officer that responded to the call. I truly hope he calls me back...because I will NOT go away. I want him to tell me that he followed through with a call to child protective services. At the scene, I questioned if he was going to call and report, or even fill out a report...his response was that he would speak to the other "parties" and would view security video. I know that he did not view it that evening, because I was still in the parking lot.

The abuse was that a grandmother forcefully grabbed her granddaughter (approx 8 yrs old) by the face. Mother was in a wheelchair with crutches so grandmother "put" the child in between herself and the wheel chair while pushing, and then grabbed and pulled child's hair from behind. Fact that this was a mother and grandmother because when my son approached them with concern, and warned that if it continued he would contact police, mother responded with "this is my daughter and her grandmother and I will discipline her any way we want, she is unruly". These scumbags were well aware of how serious this was, because they removed the license plate from their vehicle, obviously for fear that it would be written down and reported. Their stupidity preceeds them though because they needed to put the plate back on before leaving...
Before I pass judgment, I wonder what this abuse was? And am abashed that a case of suspected abuse was not taken seriously by law enforcement.
i have boycotted walmart years ago because of how they treat their employees, the products they sell and other reported incidents. Although this situation is horrible, i hope it will at least raise awareness of Walmart's unethical practices and changes will be made. I support you in this boycott and will continue to boycott Walmart until said changes are made.
A serious need exists to educate Walmart employees on how to properly handle reports of witnessed abuse in their stores. A hugh apology is warranted for this young man who tried to step up and do the right thing.
No one should be banned from the store for stepping in and helping a child. What is wrong with Walmart for allowing this to happen? Where are the managers? Who oversees what these "tough guys" are doing? Does anyone at Walmart realize that by penalizing the customer, they basically assisted the abuser?
LIFT THE BAN! HE CLEARLY DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. SECURITY GOT IT WRONG.

If you are viewing this boycott, you abviously think it's an important issue. PLEASE JOIN to show support. Thanks!
Walmart should have taken his statement, and turn over video proof from the store, showing the abuse they were being told about (but didnt listen). Dont they have an obligation here? Ban should be lifted.
Walmart needs to lift the ban on this customer, and discipline the three employees for not handling the situation as they should have.
What?? Who's the criminal here?????? What a shame, for the little girl.

Thank you for all of the comments so far, and the support. These kids should be disciplined for their lack of concern and total disregard for the real issue at hand last night, the little girl who was getting her face grabbed and her hair pulled because her "mother" felt she was being "unruly". Instead they chose to focus on what they must have deemed their "power" to fill out a form, threaten harassment, and ban a consumer from their store.
What these loss prevention people should have done was given him a chance to explain what he saw. They should have taken his statement into consideration. They should have documented what they were being told so that it could be used against the abuser.
Agreed with the anonymous comment regarding hiring appropriate individuals. Too bad these macho teenagers were more concerned about the excitement of their "power" in banning a consumer, when in the middle of all of it was a young abused child...rethink your practices Walmart, because I have re-thought about shopping at your store.
Another example of bad judgement & practice by Walmart. Lets see, discrimination against women, failure to protect children against child abuse, security staff that don't know right from wrong...,,,,,I am sure there are so many other bad examples.
Not hard to boycott this store!
I've had Loss Prevention following my daughters, whom in fact one is a Certified Teacher, and is going on to get her Masters. My daughter in fact wouldm't steal an eraser from a school, none the less something out of walmart. On another note, one of Walmarts Employees goes on to say over the intercom, "all black people get out of the store", and it was deemed unacceptable? If Walmart is too Cheap to hire, and refill the position of Loss Prevention with Certified LEO's, then problems will continue between LP and Consumer. A Person should at least have some type of Degree in CJ, But I would Prefer an LEO that would have probably arrested the "irate" woman Who abused her child. Walmart can kill two birds in one stone, They can give a Laid off LEO a Job, and would save money from being Sued b/c of these Buffoons in LP. My family is Highly supportive of Law Enforcement and we have a good number of retired and active LEO's that are seriously going to spend our Money elsewhere if we do not receive an expeditious answer on the reason this particular incident happened.
In addition...the undercover security personnel needs to be disciplined for the inappropriate way they handled this. They should have listened to my son, he should have been given an opportunity to speak.
