Junk tvs will never own another one and will tell everyone I know not to ever buy one. They are crooks that should be fined for selling consumers such inadequate tvs.

Have been fighting this tv for a few months now to turn on. Have reset so much that the button on the side is broke. Is a 50 inch and paid good money for it. Will never purchase another one.
I bought my Vizio in 2015 for $900. In 2017 the screen started to look more blue, the. One morning woke up and it would t turn back on. I called Vizio and they stated it was out of warranty. I went online and found a power board for it, put it in and it worked! Fast forward to the beginning of 2019 now in without my tv AGAIN because it will not power on!!! Bought another power board for it and NOTHING! I'm furious
I'm on my second TV in a year and same crap happen. TV goes off, light flashes and TV wont come no matter what I try. They replaced it once already and now my warranty is up. I'll never buy this crap again. I'm so mad!!
What a crap TV. Just out of warranty and no picture. Tried fixing it, nothing. NEVER BUY A VIZIO
i guess i bought this brand for decent initial performmace reviews and that i think they may be a is based (not mfg) co. BS. Tv is dead and nobody should buy this brand. (As i go up and steal my kids 720p Panasonic we’ve had for 10 years w no issues. ).
Having a hard time understanding how Vizio gets away with this... My TV, e500i-b1, no longer turns on despite tech supports troubleshooting. Now forced to try and fix it myself. This is B.S.
Immediately after warranties expired, both of my vizios went black. Cycling doesn't work. The power light goes on but fades and goes off after a couple seconds. The tvs have now sound or picture. I spoke with the company (Vizio) who told me they are aware of the problem and would give me a discount code (not much of a discount) for a new one, but the discount would ONLY BE ACCEPTED ON A LARGER MODEL!!! What a scam. I don't need a tv bigger than the two I have, which are 42". NEVER BUY FROM VIZIO.
A good friend of mine gave me a VIZIO TV (E470i-A0) as part of payment for a work I did on her house. Now the TV won't turn on, just the Power LED, no audio, no video, nothing. Now this TV is a piece of crap, I called my friend to know if TV was still under warranty, and as you know, Now, I make part same as you, to the select group of people who have a VIZIO TV somewhere in your house occupying space, waiting to be revived, reimbursed, or simply trashed. I think VIZIO guys would take the third option because they don't want to return our money and waist their time trying to help us. Now. everytime I go to a store that sells VIZIOS I see a potential customer with the illusion to buy a good TV and he/she doesn't expect, in a given moment, to be swindled by these low reputation TVs. I hope someday somebody post a resolution to this matter where we can take our TVs to a place and receive at least a coupon to buy something else. VIZIO TVs R.I.P...
What about a class action suit? There is certainly evidence of a ripoff occurring...
problems started within one week of warranty expiration. Now I have black screen. No power. Nothing works. AND VISIO KNOWS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. Samsung here I come!
Total garbage!
14 months
Don,t buy this crap
same problem had tv for almost a year and now just a black screen vizio are the worst tvs out on the market and Wal-Mart should stop selling them
I received my tv as a Christmas gift now its March and my tv wont turn on.Wt #÷×%
Recently bought TV will not turn on. There is this article about "power cycle", it works for a while and then one needs to do it over and over again to the pont that it does not work anymore.
I will never buy Vizio ever again!
I paid $2500 for a 70” 4K Ultra HD (P702UI-B3). Went to turn it on and this morning, nothing. Called Visio, went through their steps, nothing. Was told “at this point, it’s probably going to be less expensive to by a new TV then have it repaired.”
Compared to many below, I’m fortunate to have had my TV for exactly 4 years, but I didn’t expect that $2500 would only last 4 years...that’s ridiculous.
I’ve had multiple people come to our house, resulting in many of them buying Visio (including a friend that opened a sports bar), and now I feel guilty for that introduction.
Please, if you‘re going to invest in a TV, look elsewhere...Visio is not the answer.

Always seems to make it just past warranty. Then black they go. E65-c3 junk
Vizio e series is junk,my tv is only 2yrs old and tv is completely black have tried everything, just garbage
power cycles itself after vizio forced a policy update. They do not stand by their product. Wordt tv I have ever owned. Never again.
My E series 55” set went out 6 months out of warranty.
Cycled and turned the power on/off holding power button to no avail. Power supply is done.
Also my very expensive P55-C1 4K HDR top of the line top model Vizio now gives a dark shaded area to the right of the screen. Very annoying on such a nice set. Googling these two problems returns literally hundreds of people experiencing these same issues.. And Vizio won’t do a darn thing for you once these sets are out of factory warranty. No more Vizio for me. I’m done.
Another power supply problem from vizio 70 inch tv, will not power on. Tried power cycling different outlets. Still nothing.
I purchased my 65 inch vizio 5/5/ 2017 and on 10/25/2018 had a year warranty called they cant do nothi g for me spent 980.00 on this TV just for it to go to waste I am very disappointed and pissed tried the disconnect and hold power button and nothing what is really going on here I'm livid
TV was bought due to my vision issues and I needed a bigger screen to see images clearly. I worked so very hard to pay this TV off. I even bought the extended warrenty and unfortunitly its a few months past the warrenty time. It now will not power on. I've tried all the suggested "fixes" to the best of my abilities. The logo flashes for a few seconds then fades to black. This sucks because I can't afford a new TV right now not can I afford to get it repaired.
Same story 65 inch black friday special will not power on..OMG however, before reading this post I considered replacing the power board lol now I know better.
Vizio "70 inch model E70-C3 . My problems started 2 years after I purschased it Christmas 2016. Half of the scence is black. Tried all the hacks and it doesnt work. My hard earned money.
17 months old 43" d series shut off while watching. Tryed all the remedies multiple times. Power light comes on then goes off. No picture. No menu. Just black screen. Will never buy vizio again
Purchased in Jan. 2018. It is now Aug. 2018. this vizio junk will not turn on. I went through all of the hacks to start( why should I have to hack to watch my own tv ) and still no workie!
60" LED purchased jan2016, dead Aug 2018. 7 months past extended store warranty. Powering up issue. great picture, no other issue but this power issue is ridiculous. Obviously cheap internal parts.
Purchased a 50” tv and had the same screen blackout issues as everyone else. Power cycling, etc. we’re only temp fixes. Had purchased extended warranty at purchase and had repaired twice. Wouldn’t replace/consider it a lemon unless it happened three times. Broke a month after warranty expired. I’m S.O.L. Never again.
my 50inch tv died after 5 months usage
its just blackout and never worked again and I found out my issue is a comon with other customers and we all promis we will never buy this product again.
I bought a 55 inch vizio LED and it died on and off on me long before the warranty but since it could still be power cycled, Vizio refused to admit that they had an inferior product and happily let my TV run the paces of what im now finding out is a widespread issue. JOKE COMPANY. DO NOT BUY
Avoid Avoid Avoid, I have a Sony tv that's over 10 years old going strong, I got 2.3 years out of my Vizio, they last for the length of the warranty, then conveniently burn out. I even have a cheap Insignia TV that's going on 5 years with no issues.
This is my second Vizio tv that I have problems with. I don’t have money to keep buying disposable tvs. So if the cost of the repair is the same as a new one then bye bye Vizio.
I've had my tv since 2013, cant turn it on. I called vizio no help. they told me i was outside of the warranty. they give me a reference number. NEVER AGAIN VIZIO.
Do a search engine for 'tv turns on but wont stay on' and the first entry is for Vizio. Not Samsung. Not Sony. And not even RCA. But Vizio. Trust me, as soon as your Vizio has this well documented and well established problem it is only a matter of time until the tv dies completely. The power cycle fix is short term. And read comment boards like this and see that it's been a problem for years and still occurring. Happened to me for the first time a few months ago for a tv under a year old. And then it died on me this week. It happened within the warranty time. However, to apply for a repair under warranty; Vizio requires a photo of the TV powered on along with the other documentation. The sad sad irony.
ya know wats funny mine was a chuch gift an d it won’t do any thing power on or off.
Won’t power on, happened once and recycling worked but not this second time!
Purchased exactly one year ago and When I hit Power, the light on the frame of the TV lights up, screen doesn’t react, then the light fades and goes out. I started to noticed it do random weird things didn't think much of it now I wish I realized the POS was dying on me shame on Vizio what a scam of a tv to sell hard working people
We saved our money and bought a New 48 inch Vizio Smart TV from Best Buy. Paid for and did the Geek Squad plan. It began blinking when you turned it on once in a while. Now it does it all the time. It is not even 2 yrs old.Geek squad said they no longer serviced this TV or the plan. After it blinks for an hour you can shut it off, hold your breath, turn around 3 times, and it might come back on and not blink. No help from the company! We could send it in, they said. So sad, hard earned money wasted on a junkTV and company! We are not big TV watchers but when we do we like it to work! We have to stand behind the products we sell. Vizio should do the same!
Warranty just barely missed and the TV died I'm sure thats the goal though . we only want the TV to last til the warranty is up then buy another
Vizio 55 inch, lasted 13 months. Called and called- even spoke to what they called "Suoervisor" which told me nothing can be done but I could "buy" a used one with a $250 OFF... I said WOW- THANK YOU....but ARE YOU F-ing SERIOUS..!!!
Their process of making TVs does not pass any QA tests...parts are made to built their sets are weaker than TOILET PAPER..
You might as well flush your money if ANYONE else buy VIZIO Brand! STAY AWAY... add less than $100 more to buy name brands...LG-SONY-(PANASONIC-if u can find one).
VIZIO are TRASH...!!
Just after the warranty expired it was turning off by itself.
Spent 265.00 for power supply and main board plus technician 2 months ago.
Would not power on today so I've unplugged it/recycled by holding down the power button and changed outlets.
Worked for a while but when I turned it off, it kept turning itself back on.
I reset all tv settings and mananged to get it to stay turned off.
It currently will not turn on again.
It's going to be the last Vizio I ever buy and will spread the word about this piece of crap tv.
My 9O year old mother is the latest victim of VISIO.
Like the rest of the complaints, her 42 inch VIZIO is also a piece of junk. There's power but nothing else. We went thru all the steps many different times to try to correct the problem.
VIZIO doesn't care. Customer service is a joke. SHAME on VIZIO for their lack of concern and flippant attitude towards ALL their customers , ESPECIALLY MY 9O year old mother.
Who has money to spend on disposable tvs ?
👎
My husband called tech support at Vizio & he ended the call sooner than he would have had he not become so frustrated & angry. He thought it best to hold his tongue. He was not proud of what was on the tip of it. ;-)
We turn the TV on, wait a bit for it to come up, it finally comes up & powers right back off. We've tried everything & were told, by the Vizio tech, it was a power issue that would cost more to fix than actually purchasing another TV.
NEVER again will be ever buy a Vizio & we're telling everyone that will listen to us not to waste their money. Next step, Twitter!
I have a Visio E320i-A0 LED that died at 18 months and a Visio D500i-B1 LED that died at 23 months. They use to make a quality product but no more. I have a Sharp LED that is going strong at the 5 year mark. I gave my son my old Visio 50 inch plasma that is 12 years old and I have Visio 37 inch LCD that is 8 years old. Both of these Visios are still going strong. It is too bad that Visio decided to not care about the quality of their products they sale or about the people who buy their products.
I've had two Vizios that died within a year. I'm in on the boycott!
After two years of having vizio my 47" vizio TV played then after 30 mins it went off. I have unplugged it plugged it back up it still won't do nothing. I bought it at wal mart what to do . I'm not fixing to buy another one ik that much . If I do it'll be another kind NOT VIZIO
I had my 60" vizio smart tv for only 2 years. It won't turn on at all anymore, at first is started fading out or every I turn it on it turns off. I'm really disappointed and dissatisfied.
I have 7 VIZIO Tvs in my home we went with vizio because it was sold by the major retailers and based on research they seemed like a good value for my hard earned dollar. All was well until a brand new one came in 50" 4K. We enjoyed it for a few weeks and sure enough went to turn it on one day and now it simply won't power up. I contacted the groupon company that sold it to me., no response. Contacted Vizio customer service And no response. I'm done with Vizio and I am extrodinarily vocal to all my friends and family regarding the above. It's the least I can do for a company that treats its loyal customers like this.
I purchased a new Vizio 55 inch TV. In a year there was a dark smudge across the middle. In talking with Vizio they offered me a refurbished replacement for free shipping and at a price $200 more than any of the local stores were selling the same model they offered. Besides the stores have free shipping/pickup. Now, tonight less than a year later the picture is black and only flickering. Several people have the exact same problem so it must be a known flaw. Consumers deserve better.
Vizio has not responded to this boycott yet.
