Don't Honor Warranty

I bought a Toro Snow Shovel Model 38361 to do my sidewalks because of a bad back. It comes with a two year replacement warranty. Our first snow on 1-21-2012 was about one inch so I thought I would try it out. This is light and easy to handle but has no wheels, so it has to slide on a plastic wedge 12 inches wide with a plastic blade. It says its good for sidewalks and driveways made of concrete as well as decks. I used it on the sidewalks which is about 100 feet. As I was using it I see it throws the snow only forward in your path so its better to angle it to the right or left so it wont throw it in your way. When I finished I looked it oave and the plastic wedge / blade was almost dissinagrated on both edges. I called Toro and they said to take it to an authorized Toro repair center, so I took it to Zimmerman Hardware. Later that day they called and said Toro was not going to warranty it because it should not have wore out that fast, in that I must have missused it. All I did was use it as it says. If it wore out that fast there must be a defect or it should not be used on concrete or cement. The blade is replaceable and you can buy it on line all over so It must ware out but should not wear out this fast I would not think. In any case, TORO is not repairing it. I would not recommend buying this or any TORO product because they dont honor there warranty and try to put the blame on you so they dont have to fix it. What do they expect plastic to do if you push it over a rough surface like cement.

Boycott Demands

Either replace it, or send me a larger blower that wont wear out after using it only one time to clean off my sidewalks. This is stupid.
