Boycott Title

All in favor of "SONY SUCKS" raise your complaints!

Boycott Description

I have never had such a hard time getting a problem solved, a problem that was caused by sony in the first place in my life.  I have copies of 2 hours of chat with the "help desk" rent a tech, whatever they call themselves, I was tossed from tech to tech like a rag doll, even disconnected by "Laura" because she had no clue how to solve what should have been an easy problem solving issue.  So two weeks later and two remotes returned due to thier incompatence in giving me the correct one, I sit with no Sony tv, however I am paying for it.  This "company" needs to be put out of business.  In this day and age, hard times, and the economy the way it is, it is almost impossible to make ends meet, so, I say Boycott that crappy company, take your tv to the nearest dealer and plug it in outside the store, and if you have issues with the piece of junk, air your dirty laundry right there!  BOYCOTT SUCKY SONY....BOYCOTT SUCKY SONY...

Boycott Demands

Although it is not my fault that they discontinued the remote that came with the tv I purchased, and I no longer have the functions of that tv. (by the way the functions are why I purchased it), and their tossing me to the curb because I will not purchase another remote, tv, or anything else I have tried, they should send a repairman (that knows what they are doing) good luck, to disconnect the "memo" screen black and stretched across every channel, because I no longer have the use of the remote due to them discontinuing them, so no function buttons for the "Memo" black thing hanging over my tv, and not charge me, as I said IT WAS NOT MY FAULT.

Sony Tech Laura a Bitc*h

Hello all I have recently had many problems with my sony vaio laptop in regards to the vaio care program so i decided to go on the sony suport site to get help. I am then redirected to a tech name Laura who remotely assisted my computer she made up this whole deal about my computer being messed up and suggested me to buy an assurance plan of 150.00 to fix the program then when i told her that was to much money to fix something i could probable do myself she very rudely said i was a waste of time. F-u your getting paid to help people not my fault your not making any bonuses by not getting suckers to buy your stupid plans! i knew i shouldve brought a mac -_-

PSN abuse

This is not directly TV related but it is sony.  It shows knowleged of and even indirect participation in known criminal activity:

Well theres another scandal underway in sony’s online gaming division. This time its purely playstation network. Playstation Home to be exact. Over the last 2-3 years there has been one (of many) notorious Abuser known as JAHoE who on many occasions has been stalking and sexually harassing women & girls on Home, many of them are minors as young as 13. One woman was even the reciepient of death threats (with confirmed witnesses) when he claimed he’d come to her house, cut her face off and wear it as a mask in full view of her family. He’s also been repeatedly luring people into video chats on psn and exposing his genitals. What makes it even more shocking is that this past week a manager of home, GlassWalls, one of only 2 sony employees who does NOT use their real name when dealing with the public. He appointed JAHoE to the position of Home Community Volunteer with full knowledge of his activities over the years. Thats right instead of doing whats required by law, namely banning the sex offender and reporting him to the police Glasswalls has not only refused to ban the offender but has covered for him and now promoted him to a position of authority and given him defacto backing from the company to continue.

SONY: Make Believe

Sony's motto is very apt: "Make Believe," yea, it is make believe to imagine their LCD tv works for even an average life expectancy of..let's say I expected 5 years.  NO, try 1.5years! Pathetic LCD BRAVIA XBR 32"..unless watching electronic verticle stripes is your thing!

It is total make believe to think Sony will stand by it's products, they ignore you..except to take your money greedily for their defective merchandise.

It is MAKE BELIEVE-MAKE BELIEVE-MAKE BELIEVE..that a SONY customer service rep. would actually help a customer with a defective SONY product.  They are know nothing bait & switch criminals!  I will NEVER purchase a SONY product again.

SICK OF SONY

I work in retail and sell Sony products every day. The brand and the products I have believed in all my life. UP UNTIL NOW!!

I have, or should I say had, a Sony Bravia 40" lcd tv. Three weeks ago, as I am sitting there watching it, I heard a crackle sound come from the tv within seconds black smoke was rolling out of the top. I jumped up and unplugged the tv. I was stunned and freightened, as I realized it was about to catch on fire.

Thank god I did not leave my home, with the TV on that day, otherwise it would have burnt to the ground.

I called Sony immediately and this is where I began to feel sick. A company and brand which I have been loyal to from the start, gave me the run around from the moment the conversation started. Eventually, they had me send the tv to an authorized dealer of their choice.

Which by the way, those people have been great, however they have had my tv for 3 weeks and now they are frustrated, because Sony will not accept responsibility for the PC board and NIO-one processor inside the TV that went out and actually did burn a half dollar size hole in it. The repair of the tv is $361. Can you believe I am having to argue with a multi-million dollar company over $361 on a tv that is only 5 years old.
I have spoken with Sony customer relations supervisors that have made promises to call and assured me this would be resolved, yet to no avail I am still without my tv and about to have to pay this repair that was no fault of my own.
Honestly I know this sounds a bit melodramatic however I am truly sad and quite frustrated from the treatment I have received and the lack of accountability by Sony.

I want to say to Sony, that it is loyal customers such as myself and the many others I have read about, that have made this company what it is. Without customers you have nothing.

I will never recommend another Sony product to my customers and I will never spend another dollar of my hard earned money on a Sony product.

And I am going to put this story on every website I can find out there, to let others know, how it really goes down with Sony.

Sony Products

I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop back in June 2010 and I was never ever able to use it for even 1 time. As soon as I turned on the computer, it says no operating system found. I have been calling the Sony technical support term repeatedly, and no one was able to tell me exactly what the problem was until I called the 10th technician. He instructed me to enter the Bio Set Up, and there was no hard drive found in the computer. I sent my computer to Sony San Diego location to have the hard drive replaced. Here it comes, the computer still not working with "operating system not found" message. I strongly believe that Sony sold me a used computer with scratches easily noticeable. I was furious and requested Sony to do an exchange on my laptop with immediate rejection. I hope you guys are aware of this problem and reconsider if you should purchase any Sony product with no guarantee. Even it's with guarantee, you still will never get your product replaced if it turns out to be defective. We are in the handbag business and we always give our customers replacement handbags if we receive defective notice.

I strongly recommend you not to purchase any Sony products whatsoever. I purchased a Dell for 10 years now and the keyboards are falling apart from the kids playing and the computer is still working without any problem. I used a HP for 7 years now and it’s still in good order. I have been using a Toshiba in my work place for 3 years and I never had any problem with it.

Guys! When you make electronic purchases for your home, office, or travel…I strongly recommend you to choose a Dell, HP, or Toshiba instead of a Sony product as per my experience as well as other people’s experience. If you take your time to search for the comments on Sony products on the websites, you will tell yourself to “STOP” when you see the sign “Sony”!

I am so sad my laptop has been repair by Sony technician for 3 times already and it’s still not working. I spent my money foolishly for Sony product and I am going to need help with Attorney General and Better Business Bureau to claim my money back from Sony, plus the time I spent on the phone with them. I need your support on this. Please feel free to comment or advise any other way I should use to get my money back quicker. Thank you all!

Not Standing behind product

Bought a sony model DVP-SR500H on 6/15/10. It probably hasn't been used 15 times.   DVD player didn't work right and I realized it was DVD player and not the disks when I played a newly purchased disc.  Took DVD player back to Walmart and was told it was manufacturers problem.  Called Sony and was told that it could be repaired but I would have to pay for it to be repaired.  I have several sony products and I am very disappointed that sony does not stand behind they items they sell.  I will not purchase another sony product nor suggest that anyone else purchase products from sony.  I am very disappointed with their customer service as well as their product.  The customer service representative was very hard to understand due to a foreign accent.

Sony Projection T.V Faulty

I purchased a Sony Projection T.V. at Circuit City in Sept.2006 with an extended warranty contract tha expires in Sept.2010. Well the first time the bulb went out the techician said that this particular model didn't have a cooling fan. The next time it went out, we had to install it ourselves. Well it has gone out again and the warranty company will not replace it. I spoke to Sony and they said all the projection t.v.s have cooling fans. WELL THIS ONE DOESN'T AND THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NEVER EVER WILL I PURCHASE A SONY PRODUCT AGAIN AND I WILL ENCOURAGE MY FRIENDS TO NEVER PURCHASE ONE EITHER.
