Boycott Description

I am demanding that Sony review who their third party update providers are. When a download that originates on Their network causes me to loose all my game data for certain titles, i.e SOCOM 4, and then prevents me from ever playing the game online again, something is wrong. I had SOCOM 4, and was fine until about two weeks ago, when I downloaded the latest update as per PSNs requirements, in order to stay online. No sooner than did I download it than it told me all my game data was corrupted, and the update could not complete. I was forced to delete the game file from my PS3 and attempted the download again, only this time, when it gave me the corrupt message, it corrupted my save file, that maintained the progress I had made. To make matters worse, I cannot even log onto the SOCOM 4 match making servers without this update, and I cannot get this update because it corrupts my game data so I am in a catch 22 here.

Boycott Demands

I am demanding that PSN stop forcing us to download these worthless updates just to play online, and if they do offer downloads, to make them optional, and make sure the downloads actually work without corrupting or deleting our game data. Until they do, I will not be online, or buy another PS3 product, and I am seriously considering selling what I have, to include the Move System.

It isn't just download updates its on Off line purchased items too!!!!

I am fully on board with you. I been burned with the terms of use change and can no longer get access to paid for content on playstation store.

Now the freeking company is PUTING THE UPDATES ON HARDCOPY DISK FOR OFFLINE USE!!!!!!!!!

Finalfantasy 13-2 is perfect example of game with FORCED UPDATE JUST TO PLAY THE FREEKING GAME OFFLINE!!

Sony is on my perminant $#%^ list I will not buy ANY NEW PRODUCT from sony. If I ever buy sony I only get used, that way sony doesn't see a dime of it!!

any game with update used, now I take back telling them I can't play it as result get an exchange..
