Washer water level device - 8/19/10 10:58 AM

Washer water level device

I purchased a Sears washing machine, my 6th, since 1959.
The water level is controled by the weight of the clothes, and does not work.  I had the repairman come out three times, and noe that the ONE year warantee is up, Sears is going to charge me to come out again.  I called the corporate office, and a VERY sarcastic woman sid that "Replacement was not an option".  I Asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said she did not have one.  A very lucky employee...The level control cannot be fixed... My wife is supposed to run to the washer, while it is filling, open the lid, to reset the controller, when it is filling to wash and rinse cycle.  Boy where did the good old Sears go to???Bob Taylor   taylor6874@sbcglobal.net

Discrimination - 8/13/10 8:29 PM

Discrimination

Sears discriminates against their over age 40 employees - they fire them or reduce their hours to 1 short shift a week and then hire teenagers who won't work or show up  for work on time.  Walk into a store and you will see teenage employees talking on their cell phones and having their friends hanging out - not working at all.  This company talks about diversity but there is no diversity - the managers just want to hang out with teenagers and date them.

Lied to by Sears Company - 8/13/10 4:25 PM

Lied to by Sears Company

I have never experience a company who would lie. I live on a small island and after the 1 went by of the timeline they said the Sears man would be there to fix our washer. He calls, said he was on his way that he was at the menenune food mart. Of course my husband was upset after losing 4 hrs pay. Then the company calls and says he can't come because his van broke down. We drove to the very place and they lied he was not there. I beleive he was drunk. It's shameful when a company has to lie to you. This is not over. I refuse to be treated in this manner, disrespectful

Horrible Customer Service - 7/7/10 5:24 PM

Horrible Customer Service

I hired Sears to repair my TV.  The first repair visit (tech arrived 1.5hrs after the 4 hr window) cost $280 and the repair only lasted a week. On the second repair visit, I was charged an additional $238 and the tech took the board for my TV to be repaired.  A return appointment was set up, but a day before this appt, I was called by Sears and informed the board had just been sent for repair.  I cancelled the repair and told them to send my board back and refund my money.  After many transfers and being disconnected twice, they finally agreed to send back my board.  I had another company come and they repaired the board and fixed the TV.  Now Sears is refusing to refund my money, claiming that they did fix the board, which they did not.  They were late for appointments, did not perform the service that they claimed, and were not nice, especially when it came time to ask for a refund.  I will not shop at Sears!  I will continue to find anyway to boycott this store and discourage anyone from shopping or using their service.  They do not care about their customers and do not fulfill agreements for service.  I was charge $519 for a TV repair, that I ended up having to pay someone else additional money to fix!

My last email with Customer Service

So basiclly I did not get my rebate for either the washer or the dryer? If that is the case I will now boycott all SEARS and let all my friends and family know how you lied about the rebate. I will make it a priority mission of my life to expose how horrible Sears has become.

Includes The Great Indoors - 11/17/09 1:29 PM

Includes The Great Indoors

As the originator of this boycott, I would like to include The Great Indoors (Sears-owned stores) in the boycott. My family bought all of our appliances at The Great Indoors after our house burned down. The microwave has never worked properly. After one warranty service, it broke again. Several phone calls and trips to the store produced no response. they just were not interested after the sale. Buy your appliances somewhere else!

Sears Credit - 11/13/09 5:24 AM

Sears Credit

I am a 40 year Sears Customer. My Father bought from Sears and his Father before him. Their Credit Plan is what built Sears. They have turned over this Department to Citi Bank and is the cause for me to make the decision to give up my Card and never to set foot in a Sears Store again. Citi Bank is ripping off the consumer with their 25% Interest Rate.
