I just bought my Richmond water heater in 2005. I now don't have hot water most of the time. This is a 50 gal. tank. I've called them and tried to explain this. They tell me by the serial number that it's too old. (they claim it was manuf in 1998) It sat somewhere for seven years. I have paperwork to prove I bought it in '05.The store I bought it from won't replace it either
So I'm boycotting Richmond for not living up to their word and not replacing this and making me take cold showers with a water heater that I just bought four years ago. Please join me.

Never a Warranty Problem.
Richmond never has a problem with their products. If you don't believe it just call the warranty department. My 2 year old water heater was just replaced and the warranty person came up with every excuse under the sun for why they will not stand behind their product. Including replacement of the heater voids the warranty if you do not call them first.
