Boycott Title

QUICKEN 2011 SUCKS

Boycott Description

Have been a Quicken user for years.  Everytime they incorporate an "update", it screws up my existing files requiring me to purchase a NEW PRODUCT and start all over again.  Now, I have not only had to purchase Quicken 2011 BUT they tell me it only works with Microsoft Office 2007 Outlook Express, not 2003 Outlook standard version.  I have already corrected all my screwed up data in Q2011 BUT NOW I CAN"T SEND INVOICES UNLESS I PURCHASE OFFICE 2007!  This is BS.  Once installed, I can't go back to my Q2010 version as it has been deleted and new files won't convert backward.  I am screwed and would like to find ANY COMPANY out there willing to produce a comparable product.  I would buy it just to take business away from Intuit/Quicken.

Boycott Demands

Refund all costs of not only purchasing the Q2011 products but time and effort required to recreate old files in Q2010 OR produce some sort of patch that allows Q2011 to work with Microsoft Office 2003.  I don't need to update my Outlook program as it works fine for me.  Why should I have to purchase another program to send emails from Quicken?  If required, provide the Outlook (NOT EXPRESS) program with your package.

Quicken top in class to worst in class

I purchased 2011 to upgrade from 2003 - big mistake

2003 and maybe later was a great product- from 2011 and maybe before the product not only stinks but is dangerous if you are an older quicken user. the file conversion damages your data making resultant reports useless. I appears Quicken is only a marketing tool for their tax programs which for simple returns maybe OK but for tax planning and complex issues can't get it right - not even close. Luckily found a copy of 2003 to replace my lost one. Sorry to see a great product go bad.  I have discovery 100s of other on line with the same experience - many are on the Quicken customer service offical web site.

Done with Quicken after 10 years

I have been a quicken user for years - and Quicken 11 - SUCKS.  The application is full of bugs - i constantly have to manipulate my download data - it goes for weeks on end without downloading information from Chase Bank.  And Vishal in god knows where - just says sorry will escalate and get back to you in 15 days.

Don't know about anyone else - but i can't 15 days without managing my finances.

I am done with QUICKEN for ever.

Tired User

As a yser fir many years of quicken and qiuck books, I am totally discouraged with thier support and the way they are doing business, When they started their products where reasonable and then they started to make it so that if you didn't update, your product would become usless, and when you did update and if  you didn't save the file to run on the old platform in a protected area it would make them useless to the old platform. It has gone on to where the only support that is offered is what you can read online. There is not a place I can find to send feed back as it just sends you into a circuit that is never ending to the same place started. I have never been able to even send feed back to them.

So I am a tired user of thier products and suggest that here is an opening for a fresh buikder of thier type of software to take quicken spot.

Not for Years

I've used Quicken since the beginning - 1983.  But I gave up on them in 2010 when they once again told me that their product was "sunsetting" and tried to screw me to by another $100 update.

Now I use "Bookeeper".  I'm done.  It never sunsets, and these thieving losers with their horribly coded - full of ads- Quicken can go scratch.

I bought Q2011 and it won't run on my computer. They want to charge me 15 dollars to help me with a solution, 18 dollars online! This is just dishonest! I won't ever buy their product again.

Quicken 2008 - 2010

I find it amazing and utterly frustrating that Quicken is unable to generate a printable document to my printer under Windows 7.  And tech (chat) support is so incompetent that the company should just pull the product off the shelf until they can fix this problem.
