ProFlowers currently is a sponsor on the Rush Limbaugh show.

Rush Limbaugh has recently called a Georgetown student a "slut" and a "prostitute" following her testimony before congress. Rush Limbaugh has a history of denegrating women and showing contempt for them in general. Calling women who use contraception "sluts" and prostitutes "(many married women use contraception ) only underlines his lack of respect for women.

It can be assumed that if ProFlowers continues to sponsor Mr. Limbaugh after he has made it clear to the world that he has contempt for women, then ProFlowers must agree with him.

Boycott Demands

We are demanding that ProFlowers reject the slurs made by Rush Limbaugh against women and cancel their sponsorship of his show.

Why would a reputable company get involved with media nonsense as far as NOT removing their ad?

because proflowers has decided to end advertising with rush limbaugh, i agree no one should buy their crummy flowers until they apologize to rush and all conservatives

Continue this boycott from both sides

For those of you who hate Rush, don't forget that Pro Flowers had no problem raking in the big bucks until the heat got to be too much. Don't let them off the hook that easy. I say continue to boycott them. If not, then you are letting them to play both sides. Judge them for their bad judment.

WHAT MESSAGE WOULD BE SENT?

It's customary to send a mesage on a little card with the flowers one sends via ProFlowers or other floral provider. No matter what I would put on the next card for flowers I might send via ProFlowers, the unstated message would be that I condone the behavior of Rush Limbauigh and the support he receives from ProFlowers as a sponsor of his program. The message I might send to a woman who just gave birth might seem like, "Congratulations on the recent birth of your new son/daughter, SLUT!"
