I WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE AGAIN.
In July I transferred a plane ticket to a different date. I put the charges of $210 on my fiances MC. Priceline told me that the transaction was fine and everything was taken care of.

A week later I saw that instead of charging the card I gave them they illegally went into my bank account (that I had originally booked with) and charged my VISA overdrafting my account.

When I called to complain I had to explain my situation to 5 different people before I was able to talk to a customer care rep. They assured me that they would refund the money to my secondary checking account (because I had to suspend my VISA due to the illegal activity)

A week after this I find out that my secondary bank account is now negative...instead of refunding the $210 to the secondary bank account they WITHDREW $210 and transferred it to my VISA!!! They DID NOT refund ANY of my money instead moved my own money to a different account.

When I called in a rage I once again had to explain my case to 3 different people before being allowed to speak with a customer care rep.

At NO POINT was I able to speak with anyone that could do ANYTHING to righten the situation. They refused to let me speak with a manager and assured me that it would be taken care of in the next 3-4 business days.

My bank account is STILL negative and I have yet to hear back from ANYONE.

I am now in the process of hiring a lawyer to sue the company for illegally taking money from my bank account on 2 separate occasions...

They are nothing but thieves and if you do have any kind of problem you will have one hell of a time attempting to speak with anyone that can actually help you.

Instead you will be bounced from one non-english speaking rep to another.

These people do not know how to handle any situation that is not mapped out on the computer in front of them....half of the time they are on the phone with you they will tell you that they apologize for the problem while not actually understanding WHAT THE PROBLEM IS!!

I have never been so frustrated and disgusted with one company and refuse to understand how they stay in business while employing people who do not even work or live in this COUNTRY!!!

The language barrier is atrocious!!!
Not only do they speak poor English and have trouble understanding things no matter how many times you explain them there is absolutely NO REAL compassion for whatever wrongs the company has done.

My advice to ANYONE looking to book a plane ticket is to do so with another company.

Priceline is a piece of crap! Do NOT use Priceline! Such a bad bad company which is tricking you over and over to inappropriately seize your money. Customer Service there? It is a joke; you always routed to a stupid brain-damage robotic agent in the sweaty Manila Philippines who is trained to say “no, we can not do this, we can not do that”; basically she was trained to negate everything and deny everything and refused anything in a polite manner (some people call it polite, but I am so sick of the Philippines retarded agents as if they were a plague; Please- give me a rude fast-thinking New-Yorker and I will be happy; why is that that I live in America and have to deal with the dreaded Philippines all day long???!!! There is no way you can connect to “real” people, or American based agents, and all that Philippines low-life agent knows how to say in her broken English is “Sorry”, just like they instructed her, to throw you to the dogs. They already took your money upfront, right?

In my case it is legally clear that whenever there is a schedule change invoked by the airlines prior to departure, the customer has to be notified and have the option to cancel or accept the new change. The firkin Priceline did not ask me or consulted with me, but made the change immediately to my ticket without my consent! The fact is that I can NOT fly in the new schedule and timing. But THEY made the change, notifying me by email that a change was made based on “our discussion”. You firkin liars, there was no discussion and no consent! After I got them on phone, after 40 minutes of hold time, they refused to cancel, even if it was 3 months before departure giving them sufficient time to resell the seat; and even if I offered to get a credit with Priceline and purchase another itinerary. Called again asked for supervisor, she refused again. ($1000 loss). Terrible company! Do not use them, ever! They are there to trick you in all possible manners.

Searching for auto rental rates for a forthcoming trip, I had my credit card nicked for $900 just for checking rates and dates.   Of course various calls and emails with their customer service interns tell how sorry they are really, but suck it up!

I booked a room online for Daytoma Beach and after being prompted to "wait this may take a few minutes" it told me that that room could not be booked;however, they still drafted the money out of my account. They told me that they would call my bank and did but none of that could change the policies or time it takes to process an electronic refund. They told my bank that the money would be released the next day. It was released 5 days later and it can take your bank up to five days to process it. long story short Priceline took my money and held it my entire vacation. I had to cut my vacation short. I was traveling the coast and two more times they booked me for incorrect days but ofcourse still took the money totalling approximately $500.

This company is disgusting.  I can't beieve this is how they actually do business.  I never have used them before, one of thier windows popped up as i was searching for a hotel in MA for a wedding this weekend.  I put in the area, and 3+ stars.  Then paid for it, and bought the $5, cancellation insurance!! They THEN SEND ME A HOTEL THAT IS 40 MINUTES OUT OF THE RANGE i selected.  When I call, they can't change it, or cancel it or anything.  I told them i bought the insurance....ARE YOU READY FOR THIS.......the insurance is only good if there has been a DEATH, or SERIOUSLY ILL, and would need a doctors note!!  SERIOUSLY?  ARE YOU EFFIN KIDDING ME!!  "well i didn't read the fine print they say".  I've bought this insrance on booking.com, on expedia.com, and never had an issue!!!  So I am FORCED to stay 40 minutes out of range, OR lose $400!!!  And when I flipped out demading a supervisor, they EMAILED ME THE CORP office address....can't get a person.

I just had the most horrible experience with Priceline when I booked and prepaid for a NON-SMOKING room for my son in Dunn, NC. I didn't bid on the room because I didn't want to take any risks and instead I used the "express deals", the only thing I was looking for was a nice clean and Non- smoking room for my son, who suffers from asthma and  who is coming from college and needed a room on his way home after driving 12 hours. Once he arrived at the hotel he was given "the last available room in the hotel" and guess what , it was a smoking room! He couldn't stay there and he refused to check in. the hotel refused to do anything saying that We should solved it through Priceline, and Priceline said they weren't able to solve it , no refund , no credit voucher for future staying  or anything. I told them that I felt it was a "rip-off",  especially if I had a written itinerary that came along with the receipt and it showed clearly it was made for a non-smoking room. I felt so helpless because at the end my son couldn't stay at this hotel and had to go at 11 pm and find another hotel with a non- smoking room. THE SOLUTION: after thinking on what to do, I contacted the claims department from Bank of America and they contacted Priceline and fought for us once they verified everything I told them. I gave them all the proofs they needed. Hopefully in 2 or 3 days this will be solved and neither Priceline or this hotel will get away with this. They can not advertise and sell something they are not able to honor. It is not a matter of "money" but a matter of doing things the "right way". Needless to say, I will never use Priceline again

I bought a stay and the website changed the date at the last minute. I was already at that hotel with a previous reservation that PRICELINE had made ...so it knew this was wrong. The first CSR, Denise, tells me they can fix it cause the system wont allow two stays on the same night when bought separately.  Well it did and it CHANGED my request.  She suddenly tells me that she needs to go and ends our online chat before fixing ANYTHING. The second, third (KIM) and fourth person that I Chatted and spoke with on the phone gave me even more of a runaround telling me that within the chat they would send a link to customer service. At one point I demanded to speak with a Manager (12 times) -- KIM told me there is no manager on their escalation steps...LOL... I was already talking with customer service in the chat. Well I finally picked up the phone and called customer service, who told me that I needed to write them a letter (snail mail - got that ??? so I CHATTED, CALLED and then needed to MAIL my concerns, w/no potential solution or refund ever)  .... I finally open up my email and there is a bill where they have cancelled my additional stay and charged me 150% of the initial webpage invoice/receipt. I began asking both of the CSRs about this and neither one was able to explain why I was being charged more than the actual cost. Furthermore, despite not refunding me anything and sending me a new receipt for an additional amount - 150% - they tell me to go online to the website that put the wrong date in or stole from me initially and purchase a replacement for the following evening, that after I make that NEW purchase for the full price, that I will receive 50% back from that purchase....?????? How does work?? Where did they learn to do math?  Isn't that also called theft where you come from ??  After being charged 150% of the initial cost, I spend another 100% for a total of 250%, and then I will be reimbursed for 50%... leaving them with 200% of the erroneous, original charge amount. Which presumes that I can trust the website to do things properly at all  ... otherwise, I have handed over 250% by the last action they are telling me to perform in order to get my money back... LOL... where on the planet does a reputable company ask you to pay more in order to effectuate a cancellation, then tell you to buy the item AGAIN, before you get a 50% refund ... WOW they are such blatant thieves that I will tell anyone and every website that I can about them.  Oh yeah, at several points they tell me to call MY BANK or CREDIT CARD INSTITUTION to ask what the charges are for, just a horribly bad experience from start to finish ... Just checking the internet today as I have been Taken for a ride from this shady as hell company that does not have any type of customer relations or anything close to it.

 

I say lets all get together a sue them they surely deserved to be sued for all the wrong doing that they have done to thousand of people..

After years of using Priceline, we have recently been booked into smoking rooms when we prefer non-smoking.  The only recourse is to pay more at the hotel for a non-smoking room.  Priceline was uninterested in helping us.  Their customer service is poor to non-existent possibly due to limited English skills.  Stay away from this outfit, we will forever more.

Priceline bidding process worked for me on 12/31/13 but when I needed to rebook for addition dates on 1/4/14 Priceline initially did not approve my bid, so I bided again after checking my email on the morning of 1/5/14 and the bid went through.I checked my bank account and found that I was charged for 2 different reservations and called them right away.

Priceline customer service representative said that I would be refunded for one of the charges. My bank refunded me right away and did a dispute. As of today, 2/21/14 my bank took my money and said Priceline disputed the refund and refused to return my money. I am upset because the customer service representative for Priceline assured me I would get my refund for one of the bids.

Brandon from customer relations said that because I initialed I rightfully gave them the right to keep my money. My thing is with that is you can initial 20 times and still not get a bid through. It is oxymoron and unfair business practices.

They should not have a customer service or customer relations because of the lack of doing due diligence to their customers.I will continue to fight this and please let me know about a class action lawsuit against them for unfair business practices.

I had used Price Line a few times several years ago and was quite happy with the service.  It appears they have found it a wise business decision to take advantage of their customers with deceptive business practices and then let their call center in India tell you Thanks for your Money, sorry you didn't get what you purchased.  Eventually they will be gone, but will make some big bucks while they can

I am in total agreement of this boycott.  Priceline is a total ripoff for unsuspecting customers who give  them their card information, which they require.  even if you do not agree to the terms, you still have to give them information in order to proceewd  with checking and comparing available flights.  They charged my  credit card for a flight that they guaranteed and my son was not allowed to fly because of his size.  They knew his actual weight and told me the price was guaranteed.  The airlines said no.  They kept my money.  The sad problem is by agreeing to their terms, they can do anything they want and give you nothing in return.  This HAS TO STOPO!@!!!!! I had a medical emergency and really needed my son to be here.  THETY LIED, TOOK MY MONEY AND GAVE ME NOTHING IN RETURN. PLEASE JOIN THIS BOYCOTT AND SEND THEM A MESSAGE THAT THIS IS FRAUD AND WE WONT STAND FOR IT.

Call Peter Millones, Ex VP, at 203-299-8000, ext 72038398, he and his secretary, Jeri are very helpful and will go out of their way to make you a satisfied customer.  You may have to call several times, but they don't care how many times you call.  They just want their customers to be 100% satisfied with the products their company sells.

USING PRICELIEN IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I LEFT OFF MY MAIDEN NAME WHEN BOOKING MY FLIGHT, I ADMIT THAT WAS MY FAULT. I CALLED THE AIRLINES THEY SAID THE WAS EASY TO FIX BUT BECAUSE I USED PRICELINE I HAD TO GO THROUGH THEM.  THOSE IDIOTS, RAN MY NAMES TOGETHER ON THE RESERVATION AND NEVER UPDATED MY PASSENGER INFORMATION WITH THE NEW CONFIRMATION NUMBER. I CALLED THE AIRLINE WHO TOLD ME THEY WERE NOTORIOUS FOR MAKING MISTAKES LIKE THAT. PRICELINE THEN CHARGED ME 30 DOLLARS TO INCORRECTLY ADD MY MAIDEN NAME, THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE COST OF THE TICKET AND THE AIRLINE WAS CHARGING FOR THE CHANGE, I TOLD THOSE MORONS I CONFIRMED WITH THE AIRLINE THEY DO NOT CHARGE ANYTHING FOR THIS KIND OF CHANGE. I booked a trip for 6 people to Las Vegas. The rep spelled one of the passangers name wrong, I paid extra to fix it. We get to the airport, No TICKETS!!!!!!!  The lady from Delta was kind enough to fix it. I tried to get it fixed before we left, with 37 phone calls to priceline!!!!!!!!!!!!, and was tod each time it was taken care of. NOT!!!!!!!!  Same crap when we tried to fly home from Vegas!  Will NEVER  use PRICELINE again!! HIRE AMERICANS WHO CAN SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not use Priceline Bid - they hide hotels, so you bid based on what they show you, not what they actually have available, which is often valued at a smaller price.  I recently bid based on the prices that were shown, and won a hotel that was actually valued lower on the hotel's own website.  I ended up paying $50 extra, for the privilege of using Priceline.  Misleading and dishonest.

I had used priceline to reserve the room that I am in now and other than not having a microwave, and the fact that they only book for 2 people, the room is rather nice. I tried to do priceline again in the same area, Manassas, Va., and I was given a hotel just outside of Washington D.C.. I tried to cancel this reservation and was told no way. The hotel said that they couldn't do it and that priceline is the worst company to use when booking a hotel. I called the hotel to check on what kind of room that they did reserve because it doesn't tell you and I was told there was 1 queen bed. This is a problem because there are 3 people in our family. I asked about getting another room and she said they were all booked and that there is a recliner in the room. Woohoo!! Guess one of us gets stuck in the recliner. I WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE AGAIN. WILLIAM SHATNER YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU REPRESENT A VERY SHADY COMPANY. SHAME ON YOU!!!

Horrible experience dealing with Priceline!!!!!! They are running a shady business.  When biding on a specific hotel priceline booked us in a differnt hotel. Then refused to concel the reervation 5mins later.  They tricked us and stole $175.00 from us because I will not being staying in the room they booked.  Costumer service was not understanding.  We will never use Priceline agiain!!!

WOW. I am so disgusted. I feel sick to my stomach that someone can operate this way and have so many negative feedbacks and still be around doing business. They make more money on cancellations/changes than probably in booking the flight/hotels/cars. I booked a flight total $355.00 2 x tickets from Tampa to atlanta 06-9-11. I then get a schedule ai\\email for 2 x tickets to Tampa Atl 06-27-11??? WTF.. I sent my sister the link to confirm the arrival times so that she could pick me up and she says okay! I then called the day after i booked to try get intouch with them and they say " We sorry about your incorrect booking but to change it will be $380 admin plus any surcharges from the flight. I call the flight company AIRTRAN and they say its " READONLY" call priceline.

This is such a joke. They want $380 in ADMIN fee's for a flight that cost $356.00 ? How is that even possible. I have heard of 14% restocking fee's or credit card charge fee's but 110% for name change especially 1 BIZ DAY after i booked the flight ! This is just wrong! I hope william shatner goes down with this sinking ship!!!

Priceline offers zero customer service. I had been a loyal 10 year user of the priceline site, but when I called to speak with a supervisor today, they refused to let me speak with one. I spoke with Eileen in customer relations, who would not transfer me to a manager or supervisor. She just flat out refused! Our hotel that we booked wll be under renovaions, and priceline had no right to book hotel rooms at the hotel. They refused to move us to another hotel, and I even offered to pay more for a lesser hotel, but they wouldnt budge, and refused to connect me to a manager or supervisor. You lost a 10 year customer today Priceline...shame on you!

i am sitting in a hotel room in los angeles california. i went to priceline to bid on a room in orange county. when i won the bid. it said extended stay los angeles. i called and for over a half hour could not make them understand that l.a. is not o.c. they said they would not change nor refund amount. so i was left with no choice but to go to los angeles. its sunday so come monday priceline will hear from me again and again until these things stop happening to us, the consumer

I am trying to find out if the pickup and delivery times for Car Rentals always default to 12:00 AM.

I just had to cancel a Rental Car reservation because the pickup and return times were set to 12:00 AM.

The car company isn't even open at that time.

This would have made the return day (for which I was charged to begin and end within the one minute of midnight.)


Anyone using such a reservation will likely be asked to upgrade to an 'available' model, and charged and additional amount. This was what the support tech suggested.

This appears to be intentional and if so would be fraudulent on the part of priceline.

The support tech indicated that the cancelation and refund would be processed the next business day, and that my bank should post the refund within 5 days.

Subsequently the phone message auto help indicated that the refund would take 14 days to 30 days to be processed.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPATABLE .

My daughter has flight to Tx today, via Priceline. @ 2:30 am today she went to nyc E.R. 7 is now waiting for appendectomy sx. Her cell battery is low & has been trying to get her flight cancelled. priceline is stressing her with not believing she's at hosp. Wanted e.r. # dr.'s #  and her cell batt. is going down. I'm across country and got her hotel cancelled.[they will still chg. her for 1 night!] Piceline has not called her back. This is a nightmare. I tried p-line's 800# and cannot get to a human to YELL at them. I've used them many times but will not again & hope to let the global network know what crumbs they are; through as many sources as possible!!!

I booked a two night stay at the Best Western Lake Conroe, in Monthomery TX.

The room reaked of cigerette smoke and there were stains on the bedding.  Priceline and Best Western refused to give me my money back.  We choose to stay somewhere else and lost 191.92.

I will never use priceline or stay at another Best Western as long as I live.!

Priceline Name Your Own Price is a crock of garbage! I recently booked a flight... They charged my credit card... and gave me an itenitary that I did not want. The flight times was to early. Do these people honestly believe travelers want to leave their house at 3 am? Just to catch a flight out at 6 am? This is a leisure flight... just for Christmas... not a demanding business trip schedule. After attempting to resolve the issue through priceline I was told they could not do anything for me... I even asked for the airlines number and I was told... "they wont be able to do anything for me". How ridiculous is that? All I really want is the outbound flight to be changed when I get off work... and the inbound flight to be changed in the afternoon from 6AM... OR a refund. I am not asking for anything that is unreasonable... just a little customer service thats all!

I called the airline... they were far more willing to change the flight time for me... but they couldn't because priceline had the reservation looked somewhere in their database. I spoke with two nice and great customer service agents who would have taken care of a simple request. This all happened within two hours of booking one flight. Priceline is a crock of crap!

Priceline.com has done the exact same horrible and absolutely wrong things to many people.  It is a joke how they just read a script and do nothing to justify such simple and understandable problems.  I will tell everyone how horrible Priceline.com is and will never use their services again...  EVER!

To my own admittance, I booked the wrong hotel - but realized it immediately, and called Priceline to switch my reservation to another hotel.  Due to the timeframe, Priceline said there would be a cancellation fee worth 1 night's stay.  I explained it was a simple mistake and just need it switched over, and pay the difference if the correct hotel is more expensive.  The customer service rep explained their policy is non-negotiable.  I informed them this is my first experience with Priceline, and I am surprised this is the way they treat new customers.  I cancelled my reservation, plan on disputing the remaining charges, and will never do business with Pricline again.

i purchase vacation package to Vegas, few weeks later found same trip with Southwest cheaper. We after being on the phone for over 30 minutes and two Rep. I was told I could not do the price compare because my time had ran out. Wen I ask where this infor. could be found to tell me this cause I looked at all the information online. The rep tried every trick in the book to bull@#$% me then she said I should have looked in the question and answer section. I was outraged never to use them again. First and last!!!!!

How Priceline stays in business is beyond me... I learned the hard way.  Do yourself a favor and avoid using them at all cost... and tell everyone you know to do the same.

Double the car rental rate.

I will not be using priceline.com or National Car Rental in the future as price line did not let me know there would be extra charges for my wife to drive, making the rate nearly double. Most car rental companies I have rented with include the spouse as an extra driver for free. I have been told by priceline.com that my booking is non refundable so, in affect, they just doubled my rental car rate.

This is bad business practice on the part of priceline.com and gouging extra money from customers on the part of National Car Rental.

Spouse should drive at no extra charge as most car rental companies already know.

Using Priceline I bid $19/day X 14 days on a rental car on 4/16/2010 at

10:30a.m. I clicked the accept with no cancellation button with the amount

of $266.00 displayed to proceed to the next page, here a total   due

displayed $500.41!  The only explanation on the page was $234.41 for 'Taxes

and Fees'.  I bid and accepted $266.00, not $500.41.  Started calling and

spent 2.5 hours on the phone with three representatives and my bank trying

to get the charge reversed to no avail.  The last customer rep from

priceline did verify the situation and commented that I had a 'good' chance

at getting a refund, but said it would take 3-5 business days and could not

give me a reference or call back #.  Another issue occurred when went to

pick up the car, with the idea of disputing the difference later.  Alamo

refused me rental, because I did not have both a round trip ticket and

credit card, (used a debit card).  I explicitly chose the option of the

priceline page that stated, 'If using a debit card check here'.  Sum  this

up as a very bad experience that may qualify as deceptive trade practice. 

There are NO decision makers reachable by phone, they all say, sorry I can't

make any changes is there anything else I can do for you'.  I go to Hertz,

get a car for $400/2 weeks, total time in and out less than 15 minutes.  Way

to go Hertz!

They booked me on the wrong flight! I called back They could not understand what the problem was not matter how slow I spoke They ket reading from a script. They had no supuervisor. They are horrible!!! I had to miss my flight because they sent me to the WRONG destination!! THey refused to Help. Ihave reported them to the BBB

I have been dealing with PL.com for 6 months for the same thing. I was told I had a credit and now I can't use it..They are nothing but a bunch of crooks. I am going to do everything in my power to let people know exactly how shady they really are.

i think this is how they do business... scamming money out of honest hardworking people.

I have used priceline to reserve a car.  They in turn rewarded me by charging my Mastercard 99.05 along with the rental car company charging the my 75.86 for the rental car.  I have been fighting with my credit card company for 2months trying to get this resolved and yes I to have gotten over the limit charges from this fraudluent charge they have placed on my credit card too.
