Boycott Description

Playstation has in their troubleshooting section full knowledge of the red/yellow flashing light of death, but instead of offering to fix the problem for free, they demand $150 to fix the problem and the fix is only warranteed for 90 days ... This is just as bad as the Xbox 360's red ring of death fiasco. I am sick and tired of big ass companies like Microsoft and Playstation putting out products that they know full well have technical and other issues and demanding that WE pay to fix the defects they already knew were there. Companies have gotten to the point where they don't care about individual consumers, but if you kick them in the wallet, maybe they will rethink their positions. Microsoft and Sony are in such a rush to beat each other, the only loser is US! SONY PRODUCTS ARE NOW BANNED IN MY HOUSE!!!

Boycott Demands

Playstation, don't just take our money and walk away. We paid $500 for our PS3 and we now have the world's most expensive pet rock. Fix the red/yellow flashing light of death for free ... CUZ IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!

PLAYSTATION U OWE ME BREAD

i sent my damn thing in for $194 and received it back and they didnt fix or refurbish!!!!!!!!!!! better off settin my money on fire....at least it wouldve been faster and less mental anguish!!(still havent played MWBlack ops online yet) I think im gonna throw my playstation in the middle the the street id feel more better then !!!im serious !!(give it to my friend for free maybe instead)(still thinking of throwing it at least i can enjoy that)

UPDATE FOR WISCONSIN RESIDENTS

URGENT ATTENTION - WISCONSIN

Are you aware that if you buy a game system from Sony/Playstation that they WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY?!? Some people don't get it, but you're gonna need it because PS3 has a FATAL FLAW!!! It's called the YLOD or RLOD aka Yellow or Red Light Of Death, which means that your PS3 ($500 when they first came out, but about $300-$400 now) will flash the red or yellow light and will NEVER work again ... worse yet is that if you live in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands or WISCONSIN, Sony will NOT ALLOW you to purchase the extended warranty to repair your system when (NOT IF) you get the YLOD!!!

They are not just aware of the problems they create these Faults in their system.

Thats right! They build it right in to their systems. Just remember those rootkits they found on their media. At the launch of a new product they are able to predict how many systems are going to fail and what the fundings for support in this case the Playstation should be. And really top notch (for them) is that these machines almost ALL break down when the Waranty has recently expired. I am gathering info on this topic for years now, and its not only the PS3 and PS2... its a given for ALL Sony products.
