I called nintendo support as my wii was not reading discs and first of all they treated me like i have never seen a disc before asking questions like "which way are you inserting the disc?" After those ridiculous questions they stated that i could send in for a repair for $85. I said that was not an option and they asked if it was the price and i told them partly. he said he could do $70 !?!?!?!?

I apologize, but, this boycott is pointless, you should try to clean the reading lens. You can buy kits at Walmart and other stores. If that doesnt work, chances are your Wii was misstreated and/or you modified your wii and rendered the reading lens useless
