I had my CC info stolen and used to create a profile on Match.com. Although they have said they will refund my money, they refused to give any information on the identity thief. Kind of ironic that they didn't protect my identity by requiring all of my card info, and the guy or girl who stole my info gets protection. I would never use Match.com anyway, but I urge everyone else to boycott them.

Poor Customer Service !Boycott Description
Every wondered why there are sometimes alot of people on match? Well most have left even match's own stats say only 1 in 5 who leave have found someone. Not surprising since they have so few people they group you into large areas and suggest people from say southampton or brighton when you live in northampton or milton keynes. But if you have someone suspicious contact you it takes weeks for them to sort this out, and you get through to an offshore contact centre who cannot help and you cannot be passed to anyone who can until the next working day.
Boycott Demands
Avoid match but what you don't realise match is now behind many of the dating websites out there so i found out when i signed up it said your details already exist. When i had never been on them and used a new email address.Try plentyoffish.com which is free and has lots more local people on it. Also avoid matchaffinity this is even worst and double the cost.

Company responses
After a year on and off this site, they care now charging me a $2.99 activation fee on top of their $34.95 price for a month. When I asked if they can waive the $2.99, they flatly said NO. Now that they are a billion dollar company, losing a customer over a measly $2.99 was not big deal to them even if the economy is in the Dumpster. That’s what happens when you get greedy. I deleted my entire profile and moved on. Also, they have more spammers than other sites. THIS SITE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
I'M is nothing more than scammers trying to get information out of you. I will NEVER join this site...total ripoff
Bought a 6 month and after 1 month of no interest except by scammers, they refused me even a partial refund cuz I used the email. That's the reason!! U have to use the email to qualify for 6 month guarantee which I was cheated out of last time even tho I met all requirements except seeing some link they said they sent me that I never received! How can they just keep my money?
I joined Match.com and:
1. They billed me again after I joined for ONE MONTH ONLY.
2. Nigerian scammers are present as "matches" and ask you for money, pretending to be American construction workers in Nigeria!
JUST ALL AROUND BAD!
I SIGNED UP FOR 1 MONTH & THEY CONTINUED TO BILL ME AFTER THAT & ARE NOW GIVING ME A HARD TIME ABOUT MY CANCELLATION & REFUND!!!!!!
They don't tell you all the rules when you sign up.
1) no letter or phone call of renewal. "hey 6 monthes from now we are going to charge your account and not even tell you"
2) the 6 month garantee has very precise things to follow.(send one e-mail less and no free renewal)
3) Oh you used your accont 1 time after renewal, sorry no refund. If only you would have known not to use it we could have given you a full refund. Oh sorry its either a full refund or none at all, no partial moneys can be sent.
4) we reserve the right to send your profile to people after you have left out sight. Yea for match.com:)
