Spread the word. The technical support is horrible. The "lifetime warranty" expires and they want to charge you for help. The technical support agents work in some other country and you can barely understand them. This would be fine with me but Technical support agents seem to have absolutely no training on products other than routers. Call tech support and ask them questions about network attached storage devices and something other than a basic router and see how much help you get.
Even if you ask about a router ask them for help with something other than hooking up the wires and plugging it in and they blank out or want to charge you money for the information. They want money (minimum 29.99) for things that would take less than 2 minutes to answer. This charge is on top of what they already charged you for the product.
Boycott Demands
Train your technical support agents.
Have english technical support agents speak english fluently rather than the broken/forced form of english they speak.
Don't charge ridiculous fees for password retrieval or information on how to hard reset a modem. Telling a customer how to enter the gateway is, by no means, grounds to charge 30 dollars.
If you want to charge fees for real and technical issues, I stress this again, TRAIN YOUR AGENTS IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE DEVICE THEY SUPPORT!
Don't just train the agents on the main points and then have them stuck like a deer in the headlights when a real technical question comes their way.
