LinkedIn customer Notes:

I'm a PAYING customer of LinkedIn.

Guess what: They've restricted the access to my account, for security reasons!!! I cann't believe it! When I've sent an e-mail to customer support, they've replied with an e-mail including a ticket number and this: "We apologize for any delay in responding to your inquiry as we are experiencing high inbound volume at this time."

By the way, I have another open customer support ticket, for another malfunction, unsolved for the past 15 DAYS!!!

Can you believe that these guys (LinkedIn) are preparing for an IPO?! This is morphing into a huge scam ... Incredible!

Mihai 1/29/11 4:21PM

How frustrating. LinkedIn won't let me sign in. I reported this using the online form five days ago. I've followed up daily from day 2. No response.

This behavior is completely unacceptable. I see I'm not alone in this verdict. That doesn't help in getting the problem fixed :(
NotLinkedIn 1/28/11 2:58PM

Linkedin Customer service,

I am disgusted, as are many of my friends, family and associates, regarding your most recent deceptive email campaign claiming someone wishes to stay in touch with me or I wish to "stay in touch" with someone else. Especially when some of the people contacted were contrary to my wishes. How dare you take the liberty to contact someone representing the mail as it were coming from me...I am deactivating my Linked in service as are many of my friends, family and associates. Shame on you and shame on the idiot that gave the go ahead to facilitate this desperate attempt to drum up business.

Sincerely,

A disgusted former Linked in user

This is only works if someone at this company answers the phone or responds to emails. Absolutely the worst service I've experience by a company this size.
rwe 1/27/11 3:39PM

I have been a huge LinkedIn fan for a long time...UNTIL I had a billing issue. I am absolutely astounded that a social media giant is such a small minded, unsocial way. A stone wall to speak with a person, if you are smart enough to get a person, they tell you right away they know nothing and redirect you to the website? UNBELIVABLE FAIL!
Kraig R Brown 1/20/11 2:44PM

I agree with all the comments-you can't "speak" directly to anyone. The site is like a maze-totally useless!
Anonymous 1/20/11 9:32AM

Linkedin does not protect my privacy. Comfibook has taken my profile information and put it on their site as a 'profile', with picture and all, while my linkedin information has not been publicly available for at least 16 months. I have sent an email through "contact us" and have not received a reply nor even a confirmation of receipt. How now to proceed? Of course Comfibook does not respond either, but I am holding linkedin responsible for letting others take my profile information. Which company would allow that???
kamaranti 1/19/11 11:25AM

I cant even send someone an email unless I pay 30 buck a month?

I responded to a comment that somebody made about me, and the website proceeded with out my permission to scour through my address book on my computer to see who is already a member and then listed all the rest of my contacts with a check mark by them as to whom I would like to send a request to join to.

Will the website keep all this info If I hit the cancel button? I don't know.
Anonymous 1/18/11 1:08AM

there is no phone number to reach anyone and this is ridiculous. I don't know if anyone will reach this, but I need some assistance ASAP. You may reach me at 850-536-4350

Thank you
m 1/14/11 11:30AM

Linkedin is wretched, I absolutely hate it. Customer service or nonexistence thereof set aside, the site itself is hideously complicated and non-intuitive. I should not have to search online forums for instructions on the most basic operations. And now, I am unable to request recommendations or initiate new contacts. Someone needs to create a better alternative and soon.
m-demian 1/14/11 11:25AM

Just tried the number listed and pressed 1. After listening to the recording, I was prepared to leave a message but it just disconnects!
Anonymous 1/11/11 9:12AM

Linked-In Customer Service SUCKS. WHen I asked for help they sent an e-mail that instructs me to do things on the llInked in site that do not exist. "Type your name in the search area" There is no place on the site where the word "Search" appears. In another instance there is a directoin to go under "Settings". There is noplace onthe site where the word "Settings" appears. I could do this in 5 minutes with someone on the phone, I have spent two hours trying to do it with the stupid directions that do not work.
mauriecoleman 1/10/11 8:55PM

Pretty ridiculous customer service! I finally got through to someone but she transferred me before I could even ask a question - back to the stupid recording which I am sure no on listens to!! How can LI be so popular with such crappy customer service!?
Julie 1/10/11 3:24PM

I did not receive an answer on the 650 area code phone number. I have reset my password 10+ times and do not have access to my account. I can't accept invitations, because I can not log-in. This has been frustrating over the past week.

Sign-in problems have been documented with a couple of ticketed requests. I even tried upgrading and can't upgrade the account.
[email protected] 1/6/11 8:40AM

LinkedIn customer service sucks big time. And I pay for a premium account.

Not at all pleased and seriously considering moving to another social network. with adequate features, functionality.
IMHOLInkedInSucks 1/4/11 7:02AM

I can't invite a friend in my linked network. I sent you a request to get it fixed. You responded to my request with instructions. I followed them, but the problem is still there. This is going on for more than a week.

Sarkis
[email protected] 1/3/11 9:35AM

This is new & unacceptable --> I'm no longer able to view ALL of my outstanding invitations. Instead, when I scroll to page 2, immediately a promo page pops up asking me to upgrade my (free) service. As a result, I cannot maintain my outstanding invitations, which irks me to no end. I sent a comment to LinkedIn but should have rather banged my head against the wall. Same results: continued PAIN>
Anonymous 12/28/10 8:45PM

I decided to give a premium job seeker account a try. $30/month. The feature descriptions and you tube videos selling the product listed several features. One of which is the ability to see everyone who has viewed your profile. This would allow you to contact them it you want. After upgrading, I noticed that I could not view the list. Support informed me that it is a known issue and they have been working on it. There is no estimate for resolution. I requested a partial refund for the service I could not use. I was told that no credits are being issued since the rest of the service is running. Their ad and my payment form a contract that they have failed to fulfill. I want to keep the account, just receive a partial credit since it is not fully functional as promised. My only options are to accept it as is or to cancel with no proration for days used. They knowingly 'sold' me an account that would not work as advertised.
Anonymous 12/20/10 7:35AM

I am having problems. I put in the email and th epassword and it just reverts back to the login page --a continuous circle. I was on line usin git yesterdya dn when shifting t another page it asked for me to login in again. at that point it sent me to the sign n screen and I have been locked out. I put in a tech request and ahve heard nothing.
Anonymous 12/15/10 5:29AM

So, I've paid $250 PA for 2 years now and still cant get a real person to call me. What sort of company would do this to paying customers - investors be warned, a better mousetrap will appear soon.
Anon 12/14/10 12:48PM

how do you opt out of this "hotel california"!!?? I signed up a long time ago and since that time do not have usid or pw to get in to do anything with it. I've sent emails to the service dept, but have NEVER received a reply of any sort. I can't even get to a phone number, but seeing the other posts, I guess it doesn't matter, since they don't answer the phone!
Anonymous 12/1/10 5:19AM

I totally agree with the comments made by the following person on Linkedin:

"There is no customer service. I've had issues since I joined a couple years ago. It asks me for my password, I input my password, I get into the site for a page, and it asks me for my password again. When I key in the same password, it says password is incorrect. I think it's a great professional tool, but it's too exhausting to do battle with the sign-in prompt every time.

customer service is, in effect, non-existant at LinkedIn...the website, at the same time, is not user friendly....I want to hook two people up and it doesn't allow me...I search for someone I want to read about, and I am told they are out of my network...meanwhile my bank account is being deducted every mo. I find it is a total waste of time. Facebook is user friendly, and doesn't chronically ask me to disgorge my email contact list before it will allow me to navigate around the site. LinkedIn is exhausting and there is no one to help you.
netstoyou 11/23/10 4:48PM

ATROCIOUS customer service. Can't believe they'll be a public company. Why should a customer not have to
Anonymous 11/18/10 5:32PM

no live rep. you leave a message and they say they will get back to you in several days
Anonymous 11/5/10 10:18AM

Awful customer service. Don't take on so many customers if you are not able to help them. I will tell all my friends about the Linkedin's horrible customer service.

They used my initial sign up credit card information for the $5 fee to bill me for an ad campaign I did not set up. They charged my account for $118.75 and gave me an overdraft with my bank. This company STEELS people's money. I have already reported to BBB.

Anonymous 10/25/10 12:50PM

I signed up for premium service to get more information on who view my profile because they started requiring you to relax your privacy settings to see this information otherwise. The information I got was a joke. No detail (e.g. someone at IBM) and it didn't refresh after a couple of days. I had sent to complaint emails that were never responded to (they have a customer service number, but that says to use email). Finally I sent an email asking that my premium account no longer be charged (to get premium service they force you to check a box saying that you are willing to sign up for recurring monthly charges unless linkedin or you cancel it). Well, there was no response to the cancelation email but my premium services were cut off immediately. And of course, my money was not refunded. I had to file a dispute with Visa to get the charges reversed. What a messed up company.
david 10/14/10 8:48AM

I too have been a victim of fraudulent information being entered on Linkedin... someone entered that I attended a University for 8 years that I never went to, among other info... no way of changing it. Tech support is useless. This can affect one's ability to obtain a job, as it appears I am making false claims about myself... this is SO aggravating!!!
AddyNC 10/12/10 1:56PM

No Customer service. No one answers the phone. They send invitations when requested not stop. Can't stop anything. Embarasassing
Anonymous 10/4/10 1:45PM

The "Customer Service Number" is a joke of a recording. There are no people to help when needed. I am not a member of l-in but am recvg requests from a memeber to join through l-in request. I find it out that my email is avail through their site?? I had a friend (whose is a memeber) check the person on the site only to find out that "she" is only an email (no other info of any kind, no company name, no location, etc) although "she" claims to have been a member for years. Someone has obviously been able to skirt security controls on the site. Beware.
anonymous 10/4/10 6:57AM

Unbelievable I'm getting unsolicited e mail from Dinkedin for 2 weeks cant open it clogging up my in box. How do I stop this harassment?
Anonymous 9/30/10 2:07PM

Customer Services is very poor. There is no customer service. Deleting like profiles should be simple. I have no idea what email/password links are from my past profile. I can not delete it myself.
Anonymous 9/30/10 12:33PM

I just called, dialed zero, and was told that linkedin does not offer phone support and to wait until my email was answered.
Anonymous 9/28/10 12:33PM

I received an email offering me the ability to place one job ad on LinkedIn and get a second one for free. I tried to take advantage of this offer, but when I placed the ad, the system would not work and kept telling me that I needed to update the highlighted problem. There was nothing that was called out.

I emailed customer service and I called the customer service number and have yet to hear from LinkedIn. Apparently, they are richer than Midas and don't need my job advertisement.

If sucks is a catagory, that's what I rate LinkedIn Customer Service.
Just wanted to place a job ad 9/24/10 2:08PM

I went to their site and sent an email. got a claim ticket. Hadn't heard back from them, so did a search and got this phone number. Have called and pushed "0" got a recording. Called back 3 hrs later and pushed "1" and got a recording! Not a happy user at the moment
leslea 9/22/10 2:33PM

Horrible customer service....which mean no customer service. Can speak to a person, keep leaving emails, get zero response.
Carmie 9/21/10 1:40PM

This is what they wrote me last time that I complained. My problem is that I cannot update any info in my profile and that is causing me troubles in my professional life. The customer support has't been doing anything for my problem so far >>>>>

Hi Sergio,

We appreciate the time and efforts you have taken to record this issue and apologize for the issue you are currently experiencing.

The issue you have reported appears to be an isolated incident affecting relatively few users at this time. However, I have relayed your information on to the appropriate parties to evaluate, as it will assist our product and engineering groups as they determine the next steps for this issue.

I do not recommend closing the account and re-opening another to resolve your issues as profile information like Recommendations, Employment experience or Group memberships are not transferable.

Thank you for your patience and support as we review this matter.

Hadn't used LinkedIn, but got an invite from an old friend and thought I'd give another try. (Was VERY annoying to activate a few yrs ago. Thought you and I had all learned enough to get along. Not so much. Tried to retrieve my password, not possible, so finally got to re-set. Did that. Pat on back, it worked. Went to sign in. Mistake. Eventually decided to get help from LinkedIn. Your site says to click "0" when the recording starts. Tried that. Didn't work. Listened to the recording and eventually prompt said to click "1" to speak with an operator. (This was the 2nd recording.) Clicked "1" and was told to leave my email address and someone would get back to me. VERY annoying. This was after following all the prompts to retrieve my password, having been assured with prompts all was going well until I was told the new password -- which had been accepted --- wasn't working. Got that working and copied the damn crooked letters to be told it wasn't a close match and to redo THAT. Redid that and then was told the email address and password didn't match. This is quite absurd and annoying.
Anonymous 9/14/10 6:19AM

Can not log in to Linkedin.
Get the following message:

"We don't curently support that webmail service"
Katie sent a letter back which was of no help.
Any additional e-mails have been ignored.
You are all right. There service is disgusting.

Carl Hahn 9/10/10 9:33AM

I replied to an invitation I got not knowing it'd go back to the person who invited me - a person I've been avoiding for years. I immediately forwarded it to their customer service asking them if they could stop the e-mail. They sent a trouble ticket # which I replied to marking it urgent. I spent the next hour searching for contact #'s and finally got someone who answered the phone with a timid "Hello" & then transferred me to a person who (very politely) looked into it. She told me that all she could do was forward it to customer service and that there'd be a 24-48 hr turnaround on it. I'm not faulting the employees, but there are some serious issues with the company regarding privacy and customer service here. I realize that I'm the one who made the mistake, but it isn't clear that a person is contacting me directly and not the company at [email protected] to whom I replied.
disappointed & freaked out 8/30/10 12:39PM

Absolutely NO response to 3 e-mails to customer service.

They are very good at taking your money, but not at following thru on complaints.

Anonymous 8/26/10 10:30PM

A long-time LinkedIn customer, I purchased the InMail upgrade yesterday and sent four emails using it. Thus far, the emails are listed as "in progress' and apparently haven't been sent. I left a message several hours ago and haven't heard back from LinkedIn. I am quite upset and pondering further action as this has taken money, not done what I need it to do, and is ignoring me.
Jack McCarthy 8/23/10 12:54PM

I have not updated my credentials on Linkedin since November, 2009. My account was either hacked or the website automatically updates your 'resume' with incorrect information. I asked their 'customer service' and all I get back are the same questions. Asked them to provide to me who, what, when and how about the update. Linkedin sent me a 'You need a subpoena for that information.' email!!!!!!!!?????
Anonymous 8/13/10 12:58PM

A LinkedIn business account is an absolute scam. When you sign up for the service, they tell you that it is a monthly fee that you can cancel any time you want. It is impossible to cancel your account. When I finally got an e-mail back from the LinkedIn customer service e-mail response, they told me the charges would stop coming and I would get a refund. I just got my credit card statement, and I've been charged again. Do not use the LinkedIn business account. It is pointless and a scam.
anonymous 7/26/10 9:58AM

I have been trying to reach Linked In Customer Service for over 1 month. I have sent several emails, they send tickets with numbers indicating Customer Service has seen my issue & it always tells me to reset my password. They suspended my account because i did not see the 1 email they sent telling me i had 10 days to update my job. I left 1 job and went to another & had not updated linked in. Apparently some loser at my old job the one I quit complained to Linked In and said she does not work here anymore. I was dealing with the death of a family member. When I did see the email & contacted linked In they have yet to actually resolve this. I am [email protected] and if anyone knows how to ACTUALLY reach them, the 650-687-3600 is Bogus-It always rings busy, I can not get through. I am going to complain to the BBB, They ARE HORRIBLE>
[email protected] 7/12/10 2:43PM

I don't think they are telling us the truth. Do they REALLY have a customer service department or just a link and a pre-recorded message on a phone somewhere near Venus.
Anonymous 7/11/10 11:39AM

I have an outstanding issue of available number of Introductions. The system does not calculate this number accurately, the "Withdrawal" of "Introduction" produces an error message and ultimately I am denied the service I have paid for.
The customer support does not know how to resolve it, does not have plans to fix it and only can manually add an arbitrary number of Introductions to get me off their backs. Every times it happen ( 3 so far) it takes 2-3 days and exchange of numerous emails. The escalation to the CEO did not produce any results yet.
piplzchoice 7/4/10 12:39PM

terrible ..."you can't get there from here"....I probably will cancel. I cannot access the profiles of the people I want without emailing them....which I will not do!

The help line is not an 800 number and it doesn't answer anyway!

I want instant access to profiles (I am a subscriber) and no hassles. If anyone knows how to obtain a profile without contacting that person....please tell me....!
netstoyou 7/1/10 4:21PM

I am no longer going to use this site. customer service is the worst i have every experienced. Very frustrating. Posed a question weeks ago twice - no response, and they have the nerve to charge a ridiculous fee of 25$ a month.

I am highly disappointed that no live support exists for LinkedIn. Customer satisfaction is plummeting based on a quick survey of other comments.
Reuven 6/21/10 3:51PM

Yeah. Their customer service is pretty much non-existent. Total joke.
Anonymous 6/17/10 11:42AM

Linkedin cutomer service never replys. I finally after 6 or 7 messages over a 1 month period, threatened to cancel my account and I send them a PDF of all my prior inquiries. Finally, someone got back to me. They have 60mm users. They have no ability to get back to you in real time. Pray you never have a real problem. Now, when I use IE 8, i have to login each time I want to send a message to someone in my inbox. This has been going on for 3 months. So far, after 7 inquiries, still no response from Linkedin Customer Service. I use Google Chrome and Firefox with no problems but the stupid IE toolbar is handy on IE and I'd prefer to use it. Oh well, Linkedin customer service SUCKS!
mrass 6/12/10 7:06PM

Same here, I have an Dutch profile and for the second time this year I can not enter my linkedin. If I try a resetmail it say's that my emailaccount is not in there database.
Strange because I recieved updates no longer than two day's ago.
They have not responded to any of my emails yet.
Is there no way to make a case out of this, beacause i strongly feel that my privacy is intruded.

Anonymous 6/5/10 8:36AM

Do not provide your credit card info to LinkedIn. They have charged me for services they say they provided but did not. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had to cancelmy credit card because of these nimrods.
Anonymous 6/1/10 1:50PM

As others have reported, if you report a problem via their web form, a ticket number is assigned, but you never get a response. And they don't reply to problems emailed to "[email protected]".
Anonymous 5/25/10 7:05AM

I am as outraged as other posters, below. LinkedIn also hijacked my Hotmail account and sent an invitation in my name to anyone I've ever known, some casual or minor business acquaintances, some absolute strangers that I put in my contact list (to avoid them going to spam folder) in order to continue comminicating with while conducting gen'l business or inquiries. Further - LI continues to harass these people to the point that even my friends are asking me to stop. Further, LI signed off my bogus invitation with an expired job title. (Prior to this occuring, I had an incomplete profile, and maybe 3 contacts. I logged in to update after attending a job search networking seminar, got a pop-up to add contacts, I agreed and WHAM my hotmail account was hijacked, and there was no cancel button!!) Someone apparently complained about my job title (Huh?), and LI SUSPENDED ME! I am also suspended because too many people deny knowing me. Well, no kidding! I have written LI customer service three times, no response. LI ought to be investigated for fraud, harassment and invasion of privacy/unlawful entry into personal email accounts. If I don't get this resolved, I am going to contact a reporter and attempt to start an investigation. LI's abuse of it's participants might make a good story.
Anonymous 5/25/10 5:52AM

Like many of the other posters I am having trouble with logging into my account. Since you can't speak to a person you get stuck with a canned email saying that they will respond and then nothing.

I wouldn't hire any of the IT management at this company if this is how they view customer support.
kgsheltie 5/21/10 5:19AM

LinkedIn is super BAD---they have ZERO customer service. You can't even talk to a real person. All of their email responses are CANNED.

If you dispute any charges-they will suspend your account which really is taking your account hostage!!!
cdc sj 5/18/10 6:57PM

LinkedIn imported my entire address book and sent invitations to everyone who's ever emailed me -- WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR AGREEMENT. This includes people whom I would never invite and hope never to hear from again, and is clogging my email box with unwanted replies. While it's nice to find that people like me and respond positively, some invitations have potentially embarrassing results. Emailing LinkedIn brought no response; calling their phone number gave me a recording telling me they are open from 9-5 M-F. I am personally and professionally upset. This presumption and secret-default is a damaging invasion of privacy, after years of my careful management of my site!
Anonymous 5/15/10 2:14PM

Same damn problem as the other comment from two days ago... Linked-in keeps sending invites that I didn't approve. Pathetic. No on will respond to any of my emails.
tom 5/12/10 1:11PM

A canned message asking for your phone number and e-mail address is not service oriented. I could not speak directly to a real person and would be contacted after an unspecified time for a call back or an e-mail. Would it take a minute, an hour, a day, a week or a month? I don't know, nor would I sit by the phone to wait.
Azoic 5/11/10 7:25AM

Re: My entire online address book was deployed via the LinkedIn website five days ago, against my wishes, causing me great embarrassment both professionally and personally. There is no live customer service; all calls are redirected to e-mail. E-mails autogenerated by alleged customer service assign ticket numbers and a vague promise that the issue will be responded to, except it never is. My suspicion is that there is something fraudulent about this company, as there seems to be no accountability whatsoever.

Same thing happened to me... worst of all... they suspended my email account due to obsessively re-enviting people. Thank linkedin

I am having problems getting into my account and there is no way to get into my account with Linkedin instructions and I have sent emails and tried to call them but I do not get any answers through email nor do I get any help over the phone. All I get is a message machine. There should be a way to get in touch with Linkedin and talk to a human being.

I wanted to delete the Company profile that I had created for my own company with no other employees.
Wrote to customer services who said it was my job to edit my companies web presence and they would not delete the profile.
I said that if it is my job to edit it then I should be able to delete it.
Got an banile email back saying as per last email they would not delete it - no explanation or apology just a sarcastic have a nice day. Not impressed and now a cynic of linkedin and what they are up to.

I made some edits to my Profile. If I look at my profile unde View Profile, it looks the way I want it to. If I search for myself on Google, it still has my old role and company up there. Not getting any response from LinkedIn through either email or voicemail
Anonymous 4/15/10 9:22AM

I am really frustrated.
I can access my account, but nothing else. Every time I click on something (inbox, messages, profile, other links etc) I get the message 'unavailable'.
I thought that maybe I needed to reconfirm acceptance of policies, tried to do that... 'unavailable'.
Today I tried to sign up for a second account, I entered info on first page, skipped the 'add contacts' page ... and guess what ... 'unavailable' AGAIN!!!!

Service & Support ... help please.

This is now a useless service and I am advising all who have contacted me to just simply dump their accounts if they can or as I now intend just to leave my old data sitting there unused. Why? For two months now I have tried to access my account - correct procedure, correct password and - nothing, just bounced right back to the sign up/ sign in page. I have tried changing the password routine three times - same thing. I have e-mailed customer disservices and not had a response. Phone - well, that's a joke too.
Anonymous 4/12/10 7:48AM

Some one stole my CC information and bought a bunch of stuff from Linkedin. I have tried to contact them on numerous occasion, without any succuess. They sent me an email directing me to the FAQ page. How is that suppose to help resolve this problem.
bigtim 4/7/10 9:02AM

A co-worked of mine is posting fraudulent profiles of me on their service. He is posting obscene things about me.

I have attempted to e-mail and call them about closing this fraudulent profile, all to no avail. Evidently, anyone can post anything about anyone, without ever having to worry about the material being removed.

Warning:
There are LinkedIn Accounts which have been created using other people's name, company and email address fraudulently.

I have been trying to call & have emailed to LinkedIn to report the Fraudulent use of my (retired) Mother's information by scammers who are attempting to sell real estate thru the fake account.
We can't close/delete the account since the scammers created their own password and need LinkedIn's help ASAP.
No reply, no contact from LinkedIn thus far.
Seriously - something MUST be done.
We have contacted the police, etc, but it is ridiculous that linkedin customer service is useless.

anonymous 2/25/10 11:42AM

Unbelievable, their customer service phone just rings and rings and rings. I'm canceling if and when I can ever get hold of someone.
Anonymous 2/18/10 4:25PM

No response to an e-mail I sent customer service. Am trying to see how to request a recommendation from someone not on LinkedIn. Also am not able to save job searches, even with a premium account! Called the 650-687-3600 number. It have been ringing for 10 minutes with no answer.

What a scam for customer service!
anonymous 2/18/10 10:53AM

"Customer Service" at LinkedIn is a joke. I can understand it though, when they obviously have Moe, Larry and Curly running the place!!!

They destroyed a great product and replaced it with the most unwieldy cumbersome thing you can imagine. Under the old system all contacts were listed three across the page and you could click on any of the with ease.

The "new" system has contacts listed in a column of "one across" which requires you to page down until you can find one and them repeat the process over and over.

They won't answer their telephone and they obviously don't read e:mails, they just respond with a "canned" e:mail.

THESE PEOPLE ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT WHEN IT COMES TO RUNNING A BUSINESS!!!!!!!!
Anonymous 2/12/10 1:48PM

After readying many of the comments below I see I am not the 1st experiencing editing my email address and gaining NO resolution of doing so.

I called the number to customer service and after the 30th ring I hung up.

VERY FRUSTRATING!
Anonymous 2/8/10 2:12PM

Apparently I made the mistake of trying to add a Twitter account to my Linkedin profile from a public computer because it geolocated someone elses Twitter account that was cached on the pc. Not only that but that account follows porn sites and now my profile has a activity stamp that my connections see. I've tried to contact Linkedin and as was mentioned they do what they want to do. I may have to cancel. Certainly will never upgrade.
Anonymous 1/12/10 1:51PM

Just tried to contact them and was told to leave my email address on voicemail. This is nuts!
kipknight 1/8/10 6:50PM

They encourage people to constantly grow their neteorks and then shut down access for weeks without prior notice
Anonymous 1/2/10 12:36PM

Good luck on trying to get any feedback from them. They do what they want to do.
Anonymous 11/30/09 3:43PM

I just downgraded my premium service. Someone should start a class action lawsuit to recover fees paid for premium services that are completely non-functioning. This is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with this kind of service, and I will go out of my way to avoid LinkedIn from now on. I feel like I've been cheated out of money.
Tom Olivieri 10/21/09 1:10AM

I have the same challenge as many of the people commenting below. I upgraded my account and can't use many of the services. Even the simple invitation service seems to be on the fritz. It is impossible to get a live person there... Def considering canceling my upgraded account.
Anonymous 10/15/09 8:17AM

Wow! This is amazingly bad. After paying for "premium" account level service, there is no service. Unable to access my account for more than a week. Canned cust svc email that says to reset my password. That didn't work-not surprising because it wasn't a password problem. I was actually in the middle of doing a training on how to use Linkedin with a room full of more than 29 new potential users! I could not get in! We were talking about upgrading to the Linkedin Recruiter tools! I guess that would be a REALLY bad idea! I can't rate friendliness because I can't get a human!
Anonymous 10/7/09 9:45AM

WOW! They definitely will NOT allow you to talk to Customer Support. I bypassed the receptionist and requested the Legal Department.

It is unacceptable to have tried for 5 months to correct my profile and information. If you can't access your account with an old email, how do they expect you to get back in?

Well hopefully Legal will take care of this, if not, the Media can take a story of another Social Network that isn't too Social!
Anonymous 9/25/09 12:20PM

What a waste of time!

Tech support is useless, can't even get an incorrect e-mail address updated after communicating with a techie for over a week now.

Job search listing terminates every time I try to view a listing.

No phone support, receptionist will only transfer your calls to a voice-mailbox.

Completely unprofessional, bug-ridden, poorly executed website that I'm not going to bother logging into again.

You should provide a live chat line via email or a 800 phone number so that people having trouble with their password can quickly get help. Three days of trying to access my account is unacceptable.

Anonymous 9/2/09 7:00AM

I also discovered a fraudulent profile with my name. Everything about the profile is bogus and needs to be removed immediately! Has anyone had any success in getting LinkIn to respond or remove these postings?
nhochschild 8/17/09 7:32PM

I have tried to report a wrong and possibly a fraudulent entry in my company's profile with no success. The Ask Customer Service tab in the customer service center link does not work. When you enter your First name and last name on the second page, it gives some message on my email to be unique, which I do not understand where this error comes from or how to fix it. There is no email or contact number listed either.
Annonymous 8/5/09 2:21AM

With the problems at linkedin and the terrible tech support, I will just ignore this site and tell whomever is interested in it not to bother. It is just too unprofessional!
Gabby 8/4/09 12:42PM

I discovered a profile was created in my name without my knowledge and certainly without my authorization. The information is also incorrect. I have been trying to reach customer service to have them delete the unauthorized profile without success.
Brenne Shepperson 7/31/09 8:19AM

I am completely frustrated by the lack of customer service. I e-mailed and phoned a number of times over the last month and still NO REPLY! My name appears under 4 separate accounts and only 1 is correct. I cannot seem to delete the other 3.

What does it take to get in touch with you people! What a joke! This is no "professional service" entity...
cheryl duva 7/27/09 3:17PM

What is going on with linkedin? For a long time I could not connect?? and are not able to contact customer service?
Anders 7/15/09 3:44AM

Unasble to login to the site or reach anyone for 3 days. Is this what customer service has become. Lets go back to the old days.
Anonymous 7/11/09 3:31PM

Nothing but a recording at 4:30PM EDT
Anonymous 7/9/09 1:44PM

To Whom It May Concern,

As an entity that markets itself to professionals, I was quite disappointed in your lack of customer service/tech support today. I had a very simple question regarding the updating/changing of the email address of my account and now have left two messages verbally with the woman who answers your main switchboard, as well as a voicemail at your tech support extension. You boast of 19 tech support people to help your constituents - could they all have left early for the Hamptons today?
Anonymous 6/26/09 1:25PM

Driving me crazy that I can't get a live person to help us for two weeks....what is the definition of customer service again?
Anonymous 6/22/09 3:34PM

You are lucky you got thru. Now there is not even a dial tone. Impossible to make changes online and they will not provide a phone number. Who would have thought LinkedIn was a scam service underneath it all.
Anonymous 6/21/09 9:15AM

I have the same problem with the automated attendant just going to Voice Mail. I have Linkedin "chinging" my checking account weekly for service I did not sign up for and no way of contacting them.
Anonymous 4/1/09 7:39AM

Though this phone number did get me through to LinkedIn, pressing 5 at the automated message has forwarded me to a voicemail every time I've called. One time I actually got a receptionist, but when I asked to be connected to someone in client services, she passed me to the same voicemail.

If you're able to get a human on the line at this number, don't let them go!
NJ 1/28/09 12:30PM

This online service is great, but they make it next to impossible to down grade your account. I followed their online steps and still never heard back. Thanks contacthelp.com for supplying their contact number since they did not provide that anywhere on their web site either!!
