Lexmark Intuition S505 Wireless Multifunction Inkjet Printer
I bought this printer in 2012 for my home office. It worked well on my wireless network. It was easy to setup and install. I consider myself an advanced technologist when it comes to software and hardware, but the bad thing about Lexmark printers is their PROPRIETARY PRINTER CARTRIDGE DISABLING TECHNOLOGY. I chose to refill my original black cartridge that came with the printer and the cartridge continued printing until the software and hardware on the printer decided that the cartridge would be empty. In all reality, the cartridge was full, but the printer just decided to quit printing. I contacted Lexmark Chat support and they asked to have access to my pc to help with the issue, but all they managed to do was to completely disable the printer's ability to print with the black ink that was already in the original cartridge. I proved to them that despite the ink level being empty, I was able to print several self test pages in black and the other three colors. The tech offered a token gift of a standard ink cartridge as a consolation for having spent good money on a printer that FORCES UNSUSPECTING GOOD CUSTOMERS to purchase ONLY LEXMARK APPROVED PROPRIETARY INK CARTRIDGES! I declined their "generous" offer just to keep my dignity in the face of utter betrayal from a proprietary money-hungry business. Moral of the story: research the printer cost, the ink cartridge proprietary conditions, and other related issues prior to investing in any item. MY PRINTER IS NOW CONSIDERED USELESS FOR PRINTING because Lexmark cartridges cost on average between $20 and $30 with a cost per 12% or so coverage per sheet of between 11 cents to 17 cents! FEDEX-KINKOS is cheaper, and they supply all needed resources! I hope I can find a reasonable home printer with ink cartridges at reasonable prices to meet my needs. I hear Kodak is trying to do that, but I doubt an old company like that would be so customer oriented. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A LEXMARK PRODUCT AGAIN! I hope this review helps you decide. Google other reviews on Lexmark products and their proprietary money-hungry-customer-abusive technologies. I have tried HP and they do the same disservice to unsuspecting good consumers.

I bought a lexmark printer. I could not afford the print cartridge for the printer. I was forced to download a file that would not alllow me to buy other products. Lexmark does not have the right to control my spending or who I buy my products from. I am so very angry.
I will never purchase another Lexmark Product ever again. I have a printer which by the way the cartridge cost a whopping $27.00 and just put it in the I called the tech people and I finally found out that no I cannot print in black because this model is for color only. False advertising, the outside of the carton did not have color only but they stated that I would get 20% discount if I wanted to purchase another one. I was on the site and it already stated that I could get 20% off. Why in the world would I buy another Lexmark??? NEVER EVER AGAIN
I HAVE SPENT AT LEAST 10 HOURS TRYING TO GET MY LEXMARK X5650 PRINTER TO WORK. THE SOFTWARE AFFECTS WINDOWS VISTA (AS WELL AS OTHER OPERATING SYSTEMS) SPOOL SERVICE , WHICH PREVENYS PRINTING FROM THE COMPUTER. YJERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM,HOWEVER, LEXMARK HAS MADE NO EFFORT TO RECOGNIZE OR ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. NEVER,NEVER,NEVER, AGAIN WILL I BE SUCKED IN TO BUYING ABY OF LEXMARK'S PRODUCTS.
