Don't creep in our bedrooms LG!

Boycott Description

LG is violating the privacy and sanctity of our homes by building in trojan horse / malware / spyware that secretly records filename metadata e.g. "midget porn" or "horsecxck.mpeg" from external usb drives, channels, shows watched, and ?DVD/Bluray?. LG smart tvs then hijack our internet and transmit such metadata in cleartext across international borders exposing viewers to both foreign and domestic surveillance, hackers, and the like.  This is a betrayal of legitimate bonafide purchasers' expectations of privacy in their homes and bedrooms.  LG has willfully subordinated our collective privacy and security for their monetary gain and they've done it blatantly ... indeed ignoring explicit owner-configured settings NOT to collect private information.  This is unacceptable and must result in immediate feedback that the boardmembers and shareholders should take notice of.  Additionally, LG should serve as an example to other manufacturers much in the same manner than SONY did when they released their Rootkit in 2006.

Boycott Demands

We demand you immediately address these issues, acknowledge the right to privacy, take steps to ensure that going forward, especially as smart tvs begin to incorporate cameras and microphones, that this does not happen again.  We demand that you never betray your fans and customers in such a way again.  We demand that you ensure that customer privacy and the sanctity of your customers' homes is respected and held inviolable across all of your devices (TVs, Phones, Laptops, Tablets, and the like).
