Boycott Title

Legalized Hacking by Incredijunk

Boycott Description

Some of you that may read this may have your own opinion. Your choice! Until I got down to "Description of the problem" on Incredijunk’s V. I. P Support form, I was naive enough to think I could honestly voice my problem here. For about the past 6 weeks, Incredijunk has been quietly trying to persuade me to upgrade to Incredijunk 2. I just kept clicking on "Remind me later". You see, I purchased Incredimail (before it was known as Incredimail Xe) in June of 2003 when I bought my first computer because I was told by a Neurologist that I would no longer be able to work. So instead of becoming 'stir crazy' I decided to find out what computers were all about. At that time 'Incredijunk’ (sorry, but I'm a little prejudice) was so hard up for subscriptions they offered the kitchen sink for $34.95.

Anyway, about a week ago, I started getting "Incredimail has encountered a problem and has to close. Sorry for the inconvenience" every time I opened Incredijunk. This went on for about 2 days and I started to get suspicious. After that message I would get a page that offered me the option of fixing the problem by downloading an 'upgrade'. There was no mention of Incredijunk 2 anywhere. If I rejected the ‘upgrade’ because I had a feeling it was Incredijunk 2 I was taken to a page asking me if I wanted to send an error message. Then the Incredijunk screen would come back and the whole thing would start all over again almost immediately. My only question was "What was the problem"? I started to initiate a "V. I. P. Support Trouble ticket" with Customer Support. At first they told me how to turn off the option for ‘upgrades’. That worked for about an hour making me think maybe my suspicions were wrong. When it started happening again, they told me to ‘change identities'. It didn't make sense, but I did it anyway. Same problem! When I told them I followed all their 'instructions' and still came up with the same results, the return e mails stopped. I had reached a point where I was convinced this was their way of "Upgrading" their product to reluctant customers. My wife was tricked into 'Upgrading' to Incredijunk 2 and I found out first hand what a piece of garbage programming it was. It got to a point where I desperately tried to send them an email in between being "shut down" because of a non existing problem. Now this is the God's honest truth. I did not know this was possible. I had finished about 8 very insulting lines of an e mail, constantly ‘saving’ between shut downs so I wouldn’t have to try and retype in the 1 to 2 seconds between the messages that started the shut down routine. When I clicked on 'Save' again to my open mouthed amazement, the e mail came back as a blank page with a very sarcastic smiley face on it. Now you tell me! What would you think? All I could think of  was “Legalized hacking by Incredijunk”.

I guess its part of a Capitalistic Society. The more money a corporation makes, the more they want. If you don't want to upgrade to one of their inferior products, they'll find a way to try and 'force' you to!  I'm sorry, but the last I heard on the news, this was still a free country!

Like others here, I am now without an e mail service after 8 years. I had an extreme amount of work and data involved in Incredijunk, but whenever I open it the routine starts with “Incredimail has encountered a problem and has to close.” And it goes on from there until it winds up at the “Update” page. There was no mention of Incredijunk 2 so naturally after two days of being shut down as soon as the Incredijunk window opened I downloaded. And sure enough, I was right! I was looking at that ugly Incredijunk 2 screen which kept jumping back and forth between identities ON IT’S OWN.

I guess since their administration offices are based in Israel, they figure they don’t have to answer to nobody. Hopefully, if enough people complain not only here, but in every forum having to do with Incredijunk, their bottom line might convince them that to sell a product (at least in this country) it should have a reliable customer support base that doesn’t change the rules, prices and procedures whenever they feel like it without first telling somebody. A lot of corporations (like scam artists) hide behind the Internet, but this one forgot who helped put them on the map! If anyone would like to verify the facts in this post or come up with a remedy to this situation of corporate indifference, you can try to get through at [email protected]  Subject: Occupy Incredijunk. I did get some answers when I first contacted them with this problem so if you want to complain, or whatever, you can send your thoughts to
