Really irritated with Hotels.com now. When you hit "book it" at a set price of $299, how did the final price end up at $695? Their website is deceptive and their customer service just toes the company line. We're better off using a different hotel service.

won't refund when they are at fault
They told me repeatedly we could cancel with 72 hours notice and then when I had to cancel later clarified that the room wwas non refundable. The staff in France always promised to call back, never did. The staff in the philipines, heard the call, knew I was given the wrong information, but don't know how to reach France. Everyone says they will call back, no one does.
