Holiday Inn in Richmond, VA tossed progressives who had rented space to meet above where Rep. Eric Cantor was speaking. They later said it was for security reasons. Tossing people who had PAID to be there? I don't think so. Boycott Holiday Inn.

I am not surprise to hear of this company negative behavior' ' due to my horrifying bed bug experience, ' that the manager, Mr Patel with Holiday Inn refuse to accept responsibility, although I stopped  by the front desk and spoke with his desk clerk that was on duty, to show her the bed bug' and she assured me that it would be taken care of, but that wasn't the truth. Mr Patel was very rude, nasty, unprofessional' , and uncooperative in every way' I have a relative that is a formal employee of the holiday inns company' she stated that Holiday Inn have bed bugs' but they try to keep it from the public, even from their employees.

Dear _Mr. Patel or to whom it may concerns:

In speaking with you today, I see you are very un-cooperative, so I will go through with my next steps.  Instead of me arguing back and forth with you. As I stated to you I have a witness because my husband was with me. You denied that you call me, in which I can have my phone records pulled to show you called me in regards to my complaint to your desk clerk.

Over the years, I have had many pleasurable stays at fine hotels in Virginia; however, my visit on February 18, 2012 was unfortunately a horrible experience. I am certain that once you are aware of what transpired, you will be as appalled as I am.

Here's what happened: When I awaked the morning I was leaving your hotel, I notice a small bug in the bed and a bite on my right thigh. I complained at the front desk to the desk clerk and showed her the bug; she stated she would have the hotel manager contact me at 704-241-5778. Unfortunately my phone broke and when you attempt to contact me, I lost your the contact information..

Since that stay at your hotel I have spotted the same type of bugs, I found in my bed at your hotel. I am experiencing the same type of bites on body in my home. Recently I had an expert exterminator to come and check my home, to see what type of bug that I had spotted that had bitten me, and was told it was a bedbug that had bitten me, and my home is infested with bedbugs, he charged $350 to start a treatment in my bedroom room, but he stated it will cost $2500 to treat each room to get completely rid of the bed bugs. I have not been able to sleep or feel comfortable in my own home. I am requesting your establishment to cover the expenses to get rid of the bedbugs in my home. was a customer at your hotel, I hope you will try to cooperate with my schedule so we can speak and resolve this issue.

 

As you can imagine, the horrifying experience fell far short of my expectations, and -- considering the great deal of money I have spent staying in Holiday Inn Hotels.. I also frequently recommend your accommodations to other travelers.

I am not certain at this time if I will ever feel comfortable returning to your establishment. To be honest, it depends on your response to my concerns. However it seen that our schedules conflict. I worked from 8:30 am to 5:30PM. I have tried to call your on my break time, and when I get off from work. Since I am the consumer and was a customer at your hotel, I hope you will try to cooperate with my schedule so we can speak and resolve this issue

I'm looking forward to your reply and the resolution of this matter. I will wait two weeks before turning to a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau.
