My Own Insurance Company GEICO Wont Pay My Own Under Insured

Boycott Description

I have been with GEICO since 1975. Never had any major accidents or claims. I was involved in an accident in California while on vacation in 2009 while I was sitting in traffic. I was hit from behind by two cars. The first car hit the middle car into my car. The car I was in was a rental and didnt have much damage but it had enough force to bang my knee against the steering wheel or colum which required surgery. Also I had a pre existing back injury from over 25 years ago which has not bothered me much until now. It inflamed it to the point that I have had to get epidermal shots in my spine to try and relieve the pain and get it back to where it was. The Insurance company of the insured, made me an offer to pay there client's maximum liability. Being that I have under insured insurance with my own company GEICO, they had to agree to not file suite against there client and assume any further liability which they did. At one point GEICO has made me an offer to settle which did not even cover my medicals bills. They also sent me a letter/ e mail saying they did not care what other medical bills I may have or further treatment I may receive, they were not going to considerate them. Because of all my yelling, they retracted that and said they will consider any new medical bills. They have not offered to pay for any pain or suffering nor time off work. I made them an offer which was less than my medical bills, but they said NO.

Boycott Demands

At this point I want them to pay for all my medical bills and for a reasonable amount for loss of work and pain and suffering. In my estimate, I think $25,000.00 would be fair. I believe my medical bills to date are a little over $40,000.00

I don't "Count On" geico

I would never count on Geico for coverage. I prefer to "Count on" on another insurance company. The company has far better rates, far better coverage, and all in all is superior to geico. Many of the brands of insurance that are highly advertised on television and say that they are so much cheaper than other highly brands, are actually insurance for people with bad driving records. They are much more expensive. If you have a good driving record, find another insurance company. If you have a poor driving record, begin to drive responsibly and then get another insurance company. The home offices of some of the most reputable insurance companies for people with good driving records are in the cities of Des Moines, Iowa and Hartford, Connecticut.
