Sent to a call center (worthless)

having sooo much trying to find some help for my LIKES.

I have 2500 plus likes and they only show 50.

Was sent to a call center in India (of course) They wanted a "small fee" $157 (yeah right, in India where 95% of the people are below poverty) to fix my problem. The guy, who you can barely understand said I must of "accidently unliked them or somebody else unliked them. He must get a commision because that is  the dumbest, most asinine answer for my problem. I only have a handful of friends and i do KNOW these people. Can't talk to anybody at FB. Tumblr is lookn' better all the time!!!!

Fake book sucks!

I finally have had enough of Zuckerberg Fakebook. I have been a member since 2006 and that was when it was halfway decent, despite no customer service hot line we can call to report a issue etc. For example- They blocked me for 3 days from posting on my personal page, or even LIKING someone's post. This was because some jerk reported me for using one of their photos, when I had NO clue it was their photo because some body else removed their watermark, but i get the blame for posting the picture, when I had NO CLUE it was their photo I used. I post them as I see them and don't remove no watermarks or anything. Because I know how they operate..Anyway, them not having customer service pretty much explains how poor of a company they are. I would love it if the Feds came in and shut his company down because of too many bad reports and no customer service etc.

That's a great idea (delete your account will get you some contact from FB) ... IF you can access your account. My account was hacked/hijacked by the Nigerians who changed the login email, p/w, and so forth.  I've been searching for help of any sort from FB for over 8 days now, but with absolutely NO success, contact, etc. I have not yet found an email address, phone #, or any other method of getting assistance.  Trying to work through all their "HELP" screens (HAH!!) results only in getting stuck in an endless loop .... ("enter your email; is this you?" - yes - "enter your email; is this you?" - yes - "enter your email....." over and over).

Customer service or help desk, etc. is non-existent, it seems. I've given up trying to recover my account; I just want it cancelled & deleted. <sigh>

Contacting Facebook Directly

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! I have finally found a way to send feedback to Facebook DIRECTLY! It seems they only want to know what you think of them if you deactivate your account...

Go to your Account/Account Settings. Then select the "deactivate" link to activate the "Deactivate account" option. Under "Reason for leaving"select "Other" and leave your feedback in the "Please explain further:" text box.

I am trying to contact Facebook to report some extremely abusive posts that my 13 year old son received from two of his friends, going back two weeks ago. I only found out about these posts because I intercepted his emails from Facebook, which are sent whenever he gets a post or a friend request etc. I have checked his Wall but it only has posts going back two days. So the offending posts are not there anymore. I downloaded his Facebook archive, but the archive of his Wall does not list all posts. I don't understand what this archive is supposed to give you. Facebook help says that the Wall is supposed to show posts from the last 30 days. This is not the case with my son's Wall, which is only showing posts from the last two days.

The offending posts are not on the FB pages of the kids that sent them either, so I can't report the posts in the way that Facebook says in the online help.

I can't contact Facebook directly to get answers to my questions. Their online help doesn't provide any answers.

The following is the (edited) text of the posts my son received. It is obvious the kids that sent this post to him are not at fault. It is some kind of Trojan Spam:

"F**k you jerk. Go kill yourself. Do whatever the f**k you want. I hate you and the only way to remove all these posts is by disabling this below."

Obviously, if the kids click of the link to "remove all these posts" the Trojan re-transmits the post to all their friends.

This is disgraceful. I trust Facebook is reading this because it appears that this is the only way I can hope to get through to Facebook.

Hello anybody home?

Facebook is so lame they claim to be one of the biggest social networks on the internet however they can't even offer any user support, other than a help page full of generic answers that lead you in circles. I have been locked out of my account for hours now even though it said I reached an hourly limit on trying to reset my password.

The sadest thing is since they don't allow for the changing of an accounts security question once it is found out by a hacker it seems you can kiss your account goodbye. Furthermore, my girl friend and I from her account finally found how to "have a friend help in reclaiming the account" and after writing them a detailed letter of the events that lead up to my account being compromised all we received back was a generic pre-written e-mail that makes me think that no one even read the message my girl friend sent them from her account. It’s time for Facebook to get real you can't run the world’s biggest social network / gaming site on automation alone. Which leads me to wonder what the hell do they do with all that ad money anyways?

extremely poor customer service and support

I told am extremely unhappy with Facebook!I play mafia wars and a couple of my friends sent friends suggestions to add some of their players,Facebook blocked me for spamming. All they have to do is check my page,im a real person with real friends. What I dont understand is why is the suggestion button there if you are going to get blocked for using it?I have tried to no avail to contact someone.Ive sent e-mails,called headquarters and of cource got a automated response telling me to send a e-mail.I cant believe a corporation that big doesnt have a reachable customer support center.Their lowsy. If they cant incorporate a reach-able customer service and support center that can be reach from your page, then they need to be shut down!Im trying to get my friends to go to myspace,Ive had myspace for years and only had a couple of problems and one time Tom addressed the problem and chatted me through it himself. You'll never hear of Mark Zulburger doing that.

Facebook needs accountability - 3/11/11 4:43 PM

Facebook needs accountability

I decided to upgrade the security on my Facebook account by setting my account to login through a secure connection whenever possible. Then later, when I tried to access my Graffiti app, I got a message saying I needed to disable the https secure connection in order to access the app. I clicked OK, and suddenly Facebook logged me out and displayed a message saying the security of my account was compromised because it did not recognize the computer I was using.

I tried to log back in and it said I had to complete a series of security verifications first. One of which was to answer the security question on my account. It asked me who my third grade teacher was. Well, I couldn't remember her name, and I didn't even recall setting this as my security question when I first set up my Facebook account years ago. After thinking for a while, I think I remembered my third grade teacher's name but couldn't recall the correct spelling, or what punctuation/capitalization/abbreviations I had used when setting the question up (mrs. mrs ms. ms miss Mrs. Mrs Ms Ms. Miss -- which one had I used?) Anyway, I wasn't able to enter the security question properly, and I can't keep trying because the system locks me out for 24 hrs. after only a few tries. The automated account recovery system only provides me the option to reset my password, which I did, but then the system still requires me to answer the same security question, so resetting the password is not helpful. I am not given the option that supposedly exists to "use a friend to recover your account", so that is not helpful either. Furthermore, Facebook offers ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Their "Help System" consists of a bunch of pre-scripted answers to generic questions that do not offer actual solutions, but instead refer through a loop of related questions without actually addressing your problem. There is no actual help provided by a live person when you have a legitimate problem like mine. Indeed, there is no way whatsoever to contact an actual Facebook staff member to provide support with using their service. So basically, I am screwed in ever regaining access to my account. My account was declared as "compromised" through no fault of my own by a bug in the Facebook system. And because I can't remember exactly how I punctuated the answer to some obscure security question that I entered years ago, I can't recover my account through the automated system. And there is no customers support whatsoever to help me with this problem. Facebook really has a terrible security system in place. Aside from the obvious bug I discovered, the system is further flawed because I am only given a single security question to answer. Any legitimate websites that I have used before (secure government sites, etc.) provide the user with a number of different security questions; in case the user forgets the answer to a couple of them, at least if they get one right, they can still access their information.  Furthermore, Facebook needs to offer some kind of customer support. It is ridiculous that a company as large as Facebook thinks they can get away with offering absolutely no real customer support. They have millions of people using their heavily flawed software (not to mention a hoard of untested third-party apps), and they are dodging the responsibility that comes with supporting such a large customer base. They are happy to leech dollars off a naive and unsuspecting populace while not wanting to pony up the dough needed to run a customer support center. Such irresponsible practices only show how little Facebook values their customers. If they don't clean up their business practices, once the wave they are riding of people trying out the latest fad dries up, they will quickly find themselves in a downsizing situation.

Hacking of Facebook is Easy - 2/13/11 1:33 PM

Hacking of Facebook is Easy

My account has been hacked 5 times in 3 months. NONE of the security measures that Facebook has in place will stop anyone who wants to hack your account from doing so.

Use a strong password and security question? I had a 20 character complex password. The hackers simply asked Facebook to send them a passowrd change confirmation code and got it. 5 times now!!! This is a warning to anyone who thinks their information is safe. IT IS NOT. And all of this was due to playing Zynga Poker. The relationship between Zynga and Facebook has made anyone who plays the game and has won any sizable amount of chips a target. So, if you you still feel safe using Facebook go ahead and do so. But I promise you if you play any of the Zynga games and plan on getting good at them. YOU WILL GET HACKED. It is an epidemic. Check out the many sites on hacking Facebook on you tube. Or just search "Facebook Hacking" and see the 1000s of hits you will get.

It is so easy for anyone to do this. Facebook needs to be held accountable for their lack of any decent security measures they have to protect the privacy of their users.

Enough is Enough

This is too funny and believe me I am not laughing.  I have been on many sites trying to get Customer support for my FB account because God knows they have none on their site. Some even charge!  What?

I have been locked out of my account for 3 days now because we had a bad storm and I exceeded my times of trying go log into my account when the password I always use was not right???

I work in Customer support and always get "Kudos" so you would think with a BIG company like FB you would have a 24 hour help line (you are International aren't you? Sarcasm of course) or a live chat line (which I use on MY job, to ensure people get immediate help) or an 800 number on your home page??? And as for the person who posted on 12/31/10 - GET A LIFE - believe it or not there are some of us that get useful information and communicatons on FB - like family and job offering information (which is important these days) so Quit swearing at everyone (have you heard me curse?)  I just want access to my account.  Come to think of it you must be the Customer Support at FB because that is about what they would do and say - Have a great day tomorrow.

One more issue of false hope in customer service

This is the first web site EVER that has not had customer support on their main page. From what I have read their are a lot of people having this problem, obviously the fb team needs to get off their @$$ and fix this problem. Here is another good one for you, I have had a fb account for over 3 years (witch may change now) but am getting blocked because I'm using their feature of adding friends that I may know. Now if I may know them and they may know me than why am I getting blocked with a flag saying I'm spamming. Last I checked spam was unwanted email or unwanted advertisement. With that being said how are you going to break your own rules and make that available. How many users do you have, how much money are you making off this site, how many people are getting pissed at the bs that keeps happening here, really how long do you want to keep your company? How many people do you think your going to piss off in the future, and how long do you think people new and old are going to take it before they boycott this site, before you people get the hint????????? Oh and since I have been suspended from the add a friend feature, which is the purpose of this site, maybe you should take the time to see what my friend, not friend, and spam ratio is.

a free service?

It seems to me that many of these, "users" have missed a very important point. Facebook is a free service. I myself am a user....a free user. Not a customer. I did not purchase these services from Facebook as a company. Have you forgotten that your use of facebook is your own choice? How is it facebook's fault that you dont comprehend the conept, the capabilities, and the procedures that need to be followed to make facebooks free services work? Why should facebook sit and wait for you to become stumped with a basic, and very usable social networking interface, to only have you call and complain. Yell. Exclaim how unhappy you are with their service. No. None of these boycotts make anysense in that, you have nothing to boycott. So its understood that you didnt get your youville point. Even if you stopped using facebook due to this, there is millions of other users who dont even see these games as a valid time waster. You make no sense. You will make no dent. If you want your voice to be heard, and you want to make a difference about something, boycott something with meaning. With that said, I want to apologize that I have to inform you that you are the stupid idiots that make life difficult for down to earth, reasonable people. Please, pay a lawyer to sue facebook. It would entertain the rest of us to see how far that goes.

Can some media regulatory body intervene as facebook is taking customers for granted!!!!

I have been trying to contact facebook on numerous accounts requesting them to investigate an account created using my name and all my personal information. This person has posed as me on facebook and has been communicating to my friends most of which are old friends that I do not even have their contact details to warn them about this account. Only heaven knows how this person potrays me in these conversations. What is even frustrating for me is I have a good sense of who this person could be but without facebook assistance I cannot obtain factual evidence to can seek legal intervention against this person. I have even evenutally requested that facebook deactivates the account and remove it from their site if it so difficult for them to cobntact me or respond to my messages. Guess what.......did I ever get any assistance fro facebook. A BIG NO!!! WAS "MY PROFILE" EVER REMOVED FROM FACEBOOK....NO!!!!

FB not really concerned about information - 8/31/10 9:36 PM

FB not really concerned about information

When a group says they are concerned about your informations safety, it makes people feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This is something Facebook claims all the time and they show it by making it so hard to get into your account and even talking to someone about fixing the issues....  See Facebook is a place where friends can reunite, chat, play games together, and basically when people spent most of thier time. So protecting information is very important.  The problem with the stand that FB has made is, If they're that concerned about us sharing our information, why do they make it a requirement in every game that is played to share with friends.  What if you don't have any friends to play the games, what do you do then?

What most people do is add "game" friends.  These people are gamers that play the same games that will help others to advance.  This way they can keep going and are always getting gifts and game money when they visit their game friends.  Now when you add a game friend this new friend can see EVERYTHING that you do, except for instant chat and inside messages.

I guarantee you that if FB didn't require friends to advance or make more money, most people wouldn't add people they don't know.  Their "information" would stay private.

For them to say that they are protecting our privacy, and especially when they make you look at pictures of  "friends" (which they may or may not be people we know) ~that also being that the pictures are not the profile pics, half the time they are deleted photos, or photos of gaming pets pictures, so there is no way to identify them. This all makes their statements and claims false.  Facebook I really don't want to delete my account, please fix this stupid issue and create customer service number with a live person to answer!
