Boycott Title

Make Pogo Mac-friendly

Boycott Description

I have been a member of Pogo.com (a subsidiary of EA) for about 8 years. I use a Mac computer and while their games are supposed to be Mac friendly they aren't. Their automated advertising interferes with and/or locks up games so they cannot be played properly. I have written repeatedly and gave gotten only scripted answers that have been useless. Since then the programming appears to have been made even more annoying and yes even more difficult to play a game to its conclusion.

Boycott Demands

Pogo.com is supposed to be a free game website but they also have a membership. They promise that becoming a member will eliminate ads and thus game problems. This is outrageous! Yes they are entitled to make a profit on their website but they do so by neglecting a portion of their members. They are concerned only with their bottom line not with customer satisfaction. They do not exhibit anhy loyalty to Club Pogo members because they offer discounted memberships only to first-time members - no consideration for current members.

Have you encounted similar or other problems with Pogo.com? Add your voice. It's time to stop supporting Pogo.com (and Electronic Arts) for their lack of concern for customer issues regardless of whether you are a Mac or PC player. It's time for Pogo/EA to live up to their promises of providing a fun site to play a variety of games!

BOYCOTT POGO

BOYCOTT POGO.COM

This site needs to be boycotted as they continually support/ignore/allow/condone cyberbullying on their site.

A friend of mine has recently been banned, had his club membership stripped, because of a "clique" of people who have been incessantly harassing/verbally abusing/bullying and even stalking him for months now. Many, many reports of abuse to the Pogo/EA administrators have been ignored. They have allowed this group of people to continue with these attacks unabated. In the past few days, they finally had him banned and his membership stripped, when he tried to defend against these attacks!

Now that they have been successful in geting this first person banished from Pogo, they have been empowered and this same group of people is now targeting a 2nd person on their list of players they are trying to get banned from the Pogo website.

The above "clique" mentioned "live" in the 40's rooms - so don't think this mentality only happens to children on line. I have personally seen it in every age grouping rooms on the Pogo site.

Many, many rooms on the Pogo.com website are similar in allowing this type of cyberbullying. And this is what you pay for in your membership? Think very, very carefully before giving POGO.COM/EA Arts another dime of your very hard earned cash!

This site is supposed to be child/family friendly, but these vicious bullying attacks are allowed to go on in an age group, any room (whether it be a censored room or not) without Pogo/EA having any policy or stepping in to prevent it. Do you really want to subject yourself (or your child) to a website that is supposed to be fun but instead does not prevent cyberbullying?

In addition, the Pogo/EA administrators also allow other players to publish your personal info (phone numbers, addresses, personal email) into any game chat box without consequence to the player who publishes it.

There are many other gaming websites, both paid and free. YOUR SMARTEST CHOICE WOULD BE ANY OTHER OTHER WEBSITE THAN POGO/EA ARTS.
