I am so disgusted and appauled with their non existent customer service that I will no longer use thier site. They do not offer security when using a credit card or logging in so your money and account are free to use by anyone and CL will not be held accountable because they are in the same tax bracket as your church. It is very important for everyone out there to understand using CL is as safe as standing in times square and yelling out your credit card info. BUYER BEWARE.
Craigslist must be shut down permanently to make an example of what happens to a corporation that fraudulently hides behind a non-profit disguise.

those people that answer you in the forum area are so rude and harassing. They speak of things that are irrelevant and get downright nasty. I was told to F off! So off I am. Never again and am glad this site is here, will spread the word and that word is BOYCOTT CL

CL service and the Staff are the Pits
I think if you post a question in their help section that they secretly pretend to be a regular person and make rude replies. I've had this happen several times. If you reply, your account is terminated for whatever reasons. I've also found out that if someone makes a rude reply to your general question, that if you ask if they work for CL, they shut up.
I think CL is run by a bunch of low-lifes and they're getting paid to do one job and figures it's easier to solve the customer's problem by terminating the account.
I hope that this eventually leads to a federal investigation and the arrest of the morons in charge of CL for all these things.
From the replies of CL staff in which it was suggested that I get a landline, I would guess that maybe CL is invested in telephone stock. Who knows?
Look at their fax number which is the only telephone number that they have left to link to. Usually, an office has a fax number and the last four digits vary from the fax number to an office phone. Start calling not the fax number but that number that's one or two digits off and keep trying.
CL is a scam. Pretending to help people when they are in fact, just taking the foundation's money to insult people.
Hey, lets start a new sale site! (For private sale only..or at least the ability to choose to view only private ads)..That would be so much better.
Posting on craigslist is has now become more work that it's worth...I have wasted hours waiting for phone codes that don't work, and looking at help sites that are worthless.
They have store spam, and people posting stuff for $1..that clearly is a lie. I have had people flag my ad because I said I couldn't hold an item for 2 weeks 'till they could get away to come see it (my guess was they would forget to show up).
Worse yet I had an extreamly bad experince with a man who threatened my life (and another person's life that I know of) after viewing a pickup for sale.. A real nut job who wanted the truck free because he had "family problems"..No way to contact craigslist to warn others about this person, or to stop him..I am just lucky I had a vietnam vet with me at the time, or I might not be typing this.
Don't get me wrong; I have met some great people in the past buying and selling on craigslist (some will be life long friends)...but CL seems to be going downhill fast, I think perhaps the more upstanding class of folks are getting fed up with the problems, and using the service less. There is no chance for resolution as craigslist policys (of ignoring "we the people" stand.

To find out that they are a non-profit makes me sick. I hate their poorly designed website, their rude staff, and the ghosting of innocent accounts while spammers continue to post without any problems. I really wish there was an alternative to Craigslist and it's Ghetto webpage design and crappy customer service!
Legitimate Ads
My ads keep getting flagged and removed and they are legitimate ads posted in appropriate sections of the website. I post my listings with pictures of all items and especially in the case of computer software because there are a lot of listings for pirated software.
I agree. Craigslist is hiding behind this non-profit mask and as a result providing one of the worst online experiences the general public has ever seen on a "free classifieds" website. Craigslist is ghosting ads when a regular person like myself tries to sell something as simply as a cell phone, but yet some companies are able to post 1000 ads in 3-4 days using auto-posting software and craigslist does nothing about it!!!
