Boycott of CheapTickets

Cheaptickets advertised a fare that didn't exist. I booked it. Showed up to the airport to only be told that my ticket had been cancelled by the airline and that I need to contact CheapTickets to get a refund. After 4 calls and over 6 hours on hold, I still don't have my money. I will be calling my bank and looking into recourse. This is flat out fraud. I've been traveling the world for 6 years and have never, ever had an experience this bad. 

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I used CheapTickets to purchase not only airline tickets, but car rental, travel insurance, car rental insurance, and meals on board the flight. When I got the documents, the meal purchase was missing (but charged). It was impossible to contact CheapTickets about this oversight, since no number is listed on their website (nor on parent company Orbitz's website). Once I found the number, I called, waited 32 minutes, but the situation was resolved. Slow and difficult customer response, but not worth a boycott IMO.

I have been using cheap tickets for over 5 years now and have never had a problem.  I travel internationally quite often and have recently flown to Portugal, Brazil, Curacao, Canada, and various points in the USA.  I have used them for flights, hotels, and car rentals.  Sounds like a novice traveler who screwed up...We've all been there, I can think of a flight I missed when I was 23 and traveling through Asia.  No need to boycott a perfectly good business.  Own up and accept that your child is maybe not perfect, and get a hobby to spend your time on.

Cheap Ticket is the worst internet travel company ever, don't buy tickets from them, you will lose your money and your itinerary, my daughter is having to buy a new 350.00 euros ticket from Spain to Germany because Cheap ticket change her itinerary and then she was told at the airport in Spain that she didn't have a reservation and that she had to pay for a new ticket, I called Cheap ticket customer service and was told that there was a 350.00 charge to re-isue the ticket, when it was them in the first place that change the itinerary. Now I have to fight them to get our money back, after I have spent hours discussing the matter with them. What a night mare for not dealing with a reputable company. I also blame Kayak.com because they were the ones that transferred us from their website to Cheap Ticket for the purchase of what we thought was a Kayak resrvation.
