Charter Communications is officially OUT OF CONTROL!!!  I mean, who takes away your cable channels in an effort to extort an extra $30.00 out of you to get them back?!?  Are you serious???  The economy sucks, there are a gazillion people out of work and this is how you show how much you appreciate your customers!!!  WTH???  Well, I say enough is enough!!!  I say it's time we let them know that we're not having it this time!!!

Boycott Demands

We need as many people as possible to call, fax and e-mail these folks and let them know that if they move forward with this "channel lineup change", that we're prepared to cancel our accounts.  After all, what they're leaving us with isn't worth watching anyway!  Make sure you mention cancelling if they persist.  I'm thinking we can start with Mary Jo at the corporate office.

Boycott???

Boycott my "behind" I just cancelled my cable TV service. Take away my anolog....force me to go HD...oh wait...hold on...they are Oooooh so gererous, 'cuz they'll give me 2 HD box converters "AT NO CHARGE" for 12 months. (after which time I'll have to pay 6 dollars per box). *such a deal* If I need more boxes at this time...well..it's only 6 bucks per unit...soooooo..smile, bend over and fork it over. I'm out! Right now I'm listening to music , taking care of my house, and instead of sitting on my behind all night and getting fat, after I'm done making dinner I'm gonna take the dogs for a walk. Perhaps tomorrow I'll go bike riding, visit family, go to the gym or do whatever else Charter Cable Company has stolen from me. I'm free now....

Unfortunately where we live in Michigan, we are stuck with Charter and I can tell you they know it. We have  Basic Plus cable service (no premium movie channels) and entry level high speed internet. We are now paying over $122/month (March 2012). Up from February's bill of $117/month. They can spin it any which way they want. There is no jusification for it except that they can. Once you repeat a lie over and over and over, it becomes truth to that person or entity. What they are trying to do is make up for the inadequicies at the top of the executive pecking order, including the VP of communications whom you have listed. They have the business sense of an entry level dish-washer at your favorite greasy spoon. I think th FCC needs to intervene on top of the Charter boycott.  Also, it wouldn't hurt alerting "Consumer Reports." Every year Charter has been at the bottom or just about at the bottom of the "Consumer Reports" list (Hughesnet is right their at the bottom as well). They are definitely not recommended by me or anyone else for sure.

After 20+ years I decided to drop them and BOYCOTT Charter. I am sure ATT will be more then happy to take money. Every month and every year was a battle with Charter on their overcharges. When I was making good money I did not mind as much. Now days every dollar counts. My bill jumped from $130 to $190 and they did it with out notifying me as usual. ENOUGHT is ENOUGH. When i called to get it credited they practically told me to pound sand. Will I told them to pound sand by disconnecting my services and I have already notified all my friends and family in GLENDALE, BURBANK and LACRACENTA to drop them.

So you didn't pay your bill and they shut off your cable services? Wow, what kind of company does that?

And agreed w/ Anonymous. After moving into a Comcast area, the prices were way cheaper at Charter.

  I will also say this that charter communications LIES to it's customers, first they say one thing, then another, then another etc etc.

   Not only so but the fact that they are filing banlruptcy.
