End the lies and the trickery

Boycott Description

I am starting this boycott on Centurylink telephone and high speed internet services.This company just tells you what they know you want to hear and then doesn't hold up their end of the deal.I was searching for a new home.I found what appeared to be a perfect house for my family and myself.BEFORE signing any lease or paying any security deposit I checked to make sure that there was high speed internet available at the address.I went on Centurylinks web site and indeed it came up as a serviceable address.I was informed that the internet service would be on approximatly 3-5 business days AFTER I PAID A DEPOSIT.I then went to a local centurylink representitve and paid not only the deposit , but $40.00 more.I signed a lease agreement and procedded to buy furniture and make the new house into our "home" the day we moved in they tell us we needed proof of residency at the home.My husband took a lease to them and was going to pick up the modem at the Centurylink local office.When he arrived at the office, he was then informed that and I quote "Oh they don't have ANY internet in that address, sorry, and that was that.I now got a bill for "phone services" that are $20.00 higher than my internet and phone bill together monthly rate.Not only that I am STUCK in a place where I cannot attend any online seminars ,or use the internet to further educate my kids.They have caused me to spend over $5000.00 in move in fees and other things that I am now losing because I have to move.This company has taken over 2 other companies and I believe they feel they can use all the lies and trickery they want.Let's show them just because they are a big company,that doesn't mean they can lie and not hold their end of the bargin up.They need to be held accountable.Had this been you or I , we'd be sued right now.I am calling for a boycott of Centurylink and all it's know subsidiaries (embarq,and qwest)Together we can have a voice for the people who should matter most...THE CUSTOMER!!!!

Boycott Demands

I demand that Centurylink make a public apology and either follow through on their commitments, or refund all payments people have made to them and to othersd because of their lies and trickery!
