Cabela's "Predator Hunting" Boycott

Boycott Description

Cabela's is encouraging customers to engage in "predator hunting" through a marketing campaign that features a picture of a coyote. Coyote hunting has been scientifically proven to INCREASE coyote numbers in areas where it is allowed, either seasonly or yearly, through an adaptive breeding response that results in more pups.  The effect is to increase predator demands on local wildlife and livestock in hunting areas, rather than decrease predator demands in these areas.  Coyote hunting is NOT a responsible wildlife management practice and it should not be promoted by a company that has a multitude of  Conservation Partners. 

Boycott Demands

Cabelas must cease and desist all marketing of "Predator Hunting" containing pictures of coyotes, and make a statement that it does not support irresponsible wildlife management practices in the guise of "Predator Hunting."
