Boycott of Buy.com

Buy.com uses AIT as one of their carriers for larger items such as TVs. AIT's tracking starus is poor, they are extremely slow -9 days from pick up to delivery California to Arizona and furthermore, they have poor handling, my TV showed up with a huge hole in the side of the box.

Buy.com took four days to determine how long it would take to replace or refund.  That is absolutely ridiculous in today's business environment.

Buy.com was great in the past century, good in the last decade, and now should go quietly into .com history as one of the failure stories.

The WORST customer service ever!!! None of the three "customer service" agents had command of the English language.  Two womeen were RUDE and a nice genlteman tried to find a supervisor, but said there was none to be found. 

There is an Acer Aspire One advertised for $199 and says it has a 6 cell battery.  when you click buy it changes to a 3 cell battery.  Bait + switch = FRAUD and Attorney General inquiry!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I have noticed cust. svc. going downhill, but they still beat eCost, how are rip-off artists.  I get my items quickly.  They often ship the same day.  I've just had problems with some site features, their email customer support, and such.  If they keep doing this or it gets worse, I'll just shop elsewhere.  Presently, I don't get the feeling that upper mgt. cares about the customer like they should, but then I know of few large companies that are any different.

I have shopped Buy.com for years and have been satisfied with that experince. If you want faster shipping, pay for the shipping costs. If you need it right away, go to the brick and mortor store. You cannot expect super service when you do not want to pay for the cost.

Buy.com has no inventory. Your merchandise is shipped from the Distributor or the factory. I do not know how it works, but it has worked very well for me for years. I got what I ordered at a price that I wanted to pay. I see no problem with that.
