Non existant customer care

Boycott Description

I am know that I am not alone as a World of Warcraft player failed by customer service.

I contacted them to let them know that, despite security measures in place, my account was hacked, I did this via email immediately in the interests of protecting other players game experience. I only received an automated response.

I tried to phone several times over three days to no avail, literally. A recorded message explaining that due to high volume of calls they cannot get to me and then disconnect.

Last night I managed to briefly access my account and today my account was deleted by Blizzard for offenses caused by the very hackers I attempted several times to warn them about. As such, this doesn't matter much to me, as I can no longer play, but if you are a keen player who may one day require customer care, bare this story in mind.

No communication and no attempt to act on my account hacking until significant in game damage had been done and then punishing me by banning my account.

I don't think it is unreasonable to ask caring people to withhold their hard earned bucks from Blizzard until they lift their Customer Care Game.

Boycott Demands

1. Communication with paying members.

2. Genuine disclosure of results of Hacking and/or other account investigations. Hacking is a crime, even on a game account, it is an invasion of privacy and Blizzard have a duty of care here.

3. Hiring people to actually answer phones in the Customer Care Centre. Due to the high volume of calls, a high volume of new employees would be appropriate

4. Demonstrated efforts to address the issues causing the high volume of calls to Blizzard customer care.

5. Improved security when accessing Blizzard and/or Battlenet accounts.
