Boycott Title

Abercrombie & Fitch

Boycott Description

Abercrombie & Fitch has gone way too far. Their advertisements and clothing in the past have been questionable at best, however, the Ashley push-up bikini swim suit is UNACCEPTABLE.  This padded, push-up swim suit top is targeted at children 7 to 12 years of age. Not only does it encourage sexuality of children, wearing the "adult-themed" bikini top also draws unwanted and sometimes dangerous attention to these little girls. These girls have not yet developed sexually, and this sort of advertisement impacts a child's self-esteem. The idea that a 7-year old little girl should have large breasts is disgusting.  Abercrombie & Fitch should be reined in. Enough is enough.

Boycott Demands

Stop targeting the sexuality of children.  Remove all offensive clothing not only from the store shelves, but also from on-line shopping.

BOYCOTT Abercrombie?  How about we start with the parents.  I'm at that age to start my own family.  Offended by Abercrombie & Fitch? Clearly the target group is 18-24 yet I find parents bringing their teens in there.  I overheard a mom telling an associate, "well if it's for adults why is it so small in size?" it's common sense, the brand targets a certain body type (hence the racey advertising) Petitte women and athletic men. Just look at Armani, Victoria's Secret, etc. it's adult clothing yet I see parents dragging their kids a long then they act surprised that it's images are of adults skantily clothed? Shocking!

Abercrombie & Fitch created the kids brand called abercrombie with the little 'a' back in the day to target the young crowd.  My guess is that malls that don't have the kids store, moms assume the Adult department is also for the kids.

It's simple, if you don't like the brand DON'T SHOP THERE.

Honestly, Abercrombie & Fitch is the adult section of the store, there for, they're not targeting the swimsuits for girls aged 7-12. Abercrombie is the children's section of the store, where they have clothes more fitting for girls of the age group from 7-12 years. If you don't want your daughters "exposed" to the types of clothing that Ambercrombie & Fitch has to offer, I would suggest having them shop at the kids section; Abercrombie or at a different store all together.

Hide you children hide your women

Yes I agree. How dare abercombie expect us as parents to police what our children wear for ourselves like responsible adults. Abercrombie must shield our children from the horrers of the ourside world so that when they grow up they don't know how to handle sexual encouters, and end up playing World of Warcraft all day. Offering options to the young as a choice they may want to make for themselves, and expecting the loving parents to judge as well is absurd and cannot be tolerated!
