I am writing in reference to Whoopi Goldberg outrageous comments concerning Mel Gibson on The View July 15.  I don’t watch The View anymore but a few of my colleagues told me about her most recent outburst.  At this point it’s not about Mel Gibson, but it’s how she responded and reacted when people responded to her comments regarding Mel Gibson and she told people to kiss her butt.  Sherry made a comment about another race and she was told to shush up, however Whoopi was allowed to tell the African American community to kiss her butt?!  If it were a different race being addressed, I am sure that they wouldn't have been told
to kiss her butt and Barbara Walter and Bill Getty wouldn't have giving her
airtime.  This type of behavior is unacceptable and we should NOT allow this to continue to happen. 

 

With the above in mind, I am asking that you boycott The View and any future
films that Whoopie may be part of. Her recent insensitivety towards the
black community.
